Cjrane2: Dude, You are deliberately moving in a circle trying to avoid the root of the issue which is the state policy to treat a part of Nigeria referred to as the 5%ers horribly. Kaduna is not Enugu! .....and you know it!
Kaduna is in northern Nigeria in Northwest region inhabited by mainly Fulani people! Enugu is in southeastern Nigeria inhabited by mainly Igbo people. DO YOU GET IT? The same northern legislators that argued vehemently against ET given landing rights into Enugu because you guys claimed it was killing local airlines etc. The same reason you guys denied Turkish airline and other airlines already in Lagos or Abuja the permission to fly into Enugu. Yet, the same arguement did not hold when you gave ET permission to fly into Kaduna and gave Turkish airline permission to fly into Knao. Go figure "one naigerea" for you.
Please stop pretending as if you didn't know projects in a certain part of Nigeria is considered anathema by Buhari! Your analysis is very shallow and is just completely wrought out of inter-tribal hatred and hatred for Buhari. What has all these things you've said in this thread got to do with Buhari?... All over this thread you've been trying to paint a single picture being that Buhari hates the SE so much and that's the reason the Enugu airport is the way it is. Did OBJ and Yaradua also hate the SE so much? What did they do regarding the Enugu airport?.... Even the GEJ who is confirmed to be a lover of the SE, why couldnt he do anything about these LITTLE issues plaguing the Enugu airport?... Since you're so damn sure it is the 5% thingy, was it also the 5% thing for Jonathan too? Why for once wouldnt you just call a spade a spade and accept that this is all an issue of failed leadership?... Why must you resort to paint it along tribal and ethnic lines?... Why must the argument always come along the lines of, 'they hate us!' 'They are oppressing us!' 'We are victims!' etc?.... Apart from the airports at Abuja (FCT) and Lagos (former FCT), which other airport owned and operated by the Nigerian government is in a good state? Now the argument is about why there's a plan to concession other airports but not yet for Enugu; even whilst none of the mentioned airports have been successfully concessioned, I'm sure even if the Enugu airport is to be concessioned now, there would still be another protest against it just because you hate the government. In fact just recently, it was announced that the leading investors expressing interest in taking up airports in Nigeria are from Qatar, UAE and other Arab countries; there's already been an islamisation outcry even before the deal starts with insults thrown at Buhari. Haba! |

TonyeBarcanista: This picture once again showed that power and status are never permanent.
Who will ever believe that a time will come when Rotimi Amaechi, who was Speaker of House of Assembly when Yemi Osinbajo was "mere" Commissioner and Dave Umahi was nowhere to be found (he was a mere state chairman of PDP), will be standing while those two are seated?
Who would ever believe that some day Rotimi Amaechi, a Governor for 8 years and Chairman of Governors Forum (2011-2015) will stand while Yemi Osinbajo that was out of his "mere" Commissioner office in 2007 will be seated and Umahi that miraculously became Deputy Governor in 2011 (when Amaechi was his senior) will sit while Amaechi stand?
Power and status are never permanent! You have said it all, Amaechi must be thinking deeply about his 'standing' status and the sitting status of his juniors. |

Mcowubaba: Keep deceiving yourself Buhari is a fuvcking bigot, and that won't change.
Imagine that useless femi Adesina counting statutory appointments as part of the appointment Buhari made in all fairness. Appointments like commission of South East, NCC, should go to who? All the zones have this appointments.
No reasonable position for any South Easterner, just normal bullshiit positions, that nobody has heard of.
Anyways, he got 5% in 2015, this time he will get less than - 0,006% Buhari and all his supporters are useless Those statutory appointments, do they also include northerners or not?... If they include both southerners and northerners, how exactly does that then change the overall ratio even if you exclude them? Of course the only sensible partly sensible argument left is the argument of 'KEY' positions, or rather 'JUICY' positions as it's typically regarded in political circles. The fact of the matter is that the list released might not meet your expectations, but it has demolished the scam list released last week which authoritatively claimed 81% of appointees were northerners. Try and come up with something else please! |

doctokwus: I scrolled down expecting there to be the usual lies and propaganda from this president and I wasnt disappointed: The appointees under NSIA and NERC commissioners are statutory zonal positions that were vacant or their appointees tenure expired. So the president had no choice than to replace those vacancies with those from same Southern sub regions. Its like that of ministers,Buhari cannot but appoint ministers from each state, even if his mindset would have wished otherwise. Nothing here has proved the BusinessDay report wrong. They should try another propaganda. Meanwhile why try to debunk the story now after almost a month;of course its to divert from the story of the leak that Buhari knew and was informed officially of Maina's recall! Lol... The NSIA and NERC positions might be zonal positions, but they actually include both northern and southern names. So if you even want to cancel out those names from the list, you're basically cancelling equal number of northern and southern names; it doesnt still change the scores. Regarding the businessday list, only a chronic wailer (who needs psychological help) would still give that list any iota of regard considering all that has been exposed about it. First of all, I implore you to go back to the businessday 100 list and COUNT the number of northerners vs southerners. 1. The list claimed 81% were northerners whereas it had only about 66 northern names listed. 2. The list clearly omitted names of several known southern appointees 3. The author intentionally replaced some southern names with northern names in some portfolios to pad up his shambolic list; he also went ahead to intentionally repeat some northern names. And even with the above, only 66 names of northerners were listed, but the fraudulent ogre who created the list obviously knew no one would bother counting or vetting, so he threw a sensational title '81% northerners'. It's a shame that even with all these exposes, there are still normal humans out there who still think the businessday list makes any sense. Doctokwus even you?... I thought you were the objective type? The only weighty argument (though not so sensible) left on this matter is that more 'juicy' appointments have gone to the north. But that is something that typically happens in every single regime in a multi-tribal/multi-cultural society like ours. |

progress69: The economy was already bastardised before APC came to power.
1. Several governors were owing back log of salaries as at May 2015 when this government took over hence the bail out funds approved for governors 2. FG borrowed to pay Feb/Mar 2015 salaries. 3. Oil marketters were owed billions, led to a fuel scarcity that paralyzed Nigeria, even banks were closing before time, telecoms operators were sending texts about expected distruptions (never in Nigeria have this happenned) 4. Road contractors were being owed billions of $ hence they vacated all roads. 5. Even your all mighty Iweala was singing like a kanery bird how the country was in trouble with the oil price crashing (oil was still above $70/barrel)
U need more evidence.....?
This government have tried in bailing out state governments and have been paying federal workers. Oil price went to all time low of $28/barrel. (Below production price) Terrorists were blowing up pipelines [u guys were glad]
Cry all u want, sane minds knows that, this government may not have met expectations, but we are greatful the past government never continued rulling. One will wonder what all the oil money garnered for 5 years plus was used for.
Shame! All the money was used to turn Nigeria to Dubai, 20,000km of roads were built to world standard, everybody was made a millionaire or billionaire and even the president bragged about how the number of private jets in the country multiplied by a factor of 10. But the new devilish government came in and turned everything upside down overnight; even the 20,000km of excellent roads were scrapped away by the devils. |

they will only succeed in deceiving the almajiris and zombies.. (those one's own worst) You are obviously chained up in the bondage of petty politics of pdp vs apc, north vs south and religion vs religion; that explains your paranoia and perpetual suspicion even in needless cases. There's always been a call to recognize state of residence in Nigeria and that predates this dispensation or even the fourth republic. If the state of residence policy is recognized today, it would by far, favour the people who mostly reside and settle in other lands, and If we must consider the statistics on that, the SE leads that pack by a very long stretch. But obviously, like I mentioned above, you are deeply entrapped in the bondage of perpetual suspicion, you just feel everyone is out there plotting something to harm or cheat you; most especially since you see the person/people in power today as your 'enemies', so even though they dont support the idea of 'state of residence', your paranoia already makes you feel they would accept and implement it for sinister purposes (i.e. to cheat you)...
