The dullado 1 of daura republic is making the likes of omenka, ngeneukwenu, modath, doctokwus, abagoro, caseless, barem, aresa, demdem, gbawe, obiagelli and co go dumb and voiceless on this forum. It has become a heculian task defending the indefensible DULLADO OF DAURA.

The worst hit among this zombies i mention was the ground father of epistle, gbawe, who bombarded and bore us on this forum with long and meaningless epistle. But today he's gone into hybernation and ghost mode, it's quite pathetic that the duo, buhari and aregbesola that he was busy singing their praises to high heaven are now embodiment and failure incarnate.

Then take the path of honour by resigning Mr
President.15millions fellas sold their senses to your illusory promises but for me I was not & will never be scammed.
On the contrary, it is the 12million who voted the ineffectual one who sold their senses for some empty rhetorics like 'I had no shows.'

On the other hand, people who supported buhari over gej know exactly why they did so, and it definitely wasn't because of some silly campaign promises like 'FG building 1million houses per year' or donation of N5000 to jobless people. How is it even possible to build 1million houses in 4 years?... This is the first time I'm actually hearing of this (1million houses).

Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying. The main pro ApC guys have no need to be stuck on NL arguing or endorsing anything hence they have since gone silent since apc won the election. On the other hand, it is the disgruntled pro-pdp jonathanians who litter NL these days wailing for a living. You dont expect the winning party to make more noise than the opposition do you?.... If you want to know if the pro-apc guys are still around, just wait till late 2018/2019 when fresh elections are around the corner.

I have observed the politics section for some time now and have observed some reations of Nairalanders on issues regarding the two major political parties, PDP and APC.

From the number of likes a comments/posts receives for speaking againt the APC Government and their acheivements while in turn supporting the opposition, PDP, it is clear that PDP supporters has stronger arguments against the APC Change agents even though they make valuable arguments sometimes.

At first, I thought it was because of the cry of witch hunt by the PDP which was obvious, but I have gathered the evidence that it was, in deed, the failure of the APC lead government.

Some of the Reasons comes to mind.

1. The Punishment given to pro biafra agitants resulted less number of Igbos on Nairaland. This means that the population that are agaist the APC government are not the few Igbos on Nairaland but people from other region with few Igbos.

2.
Lol... Wonders shall never end, PDP has stronger arguments indeed grin. Op are you confusing pointless wailing for 'strong argument'?

The APC guys are bored arguing day and night with incoherent wailing kids, that's why most of the vocal guys who supported Buhari dont respond to the childish wailers that litter NL any more. Besides, elections are long over and a winner has since been announced; you don't expect winners to be expending valuable energy joining issues with losers do you? It is losers that make noise remember?

freeze001:
INEC cannot be completely exonerated. Despite all the time they take to prepare they are never able to provide materials and logistics to satisfaction, why is that? This is an institutional problem that needs to be tackled. On election days vehicular movement is limited so what stops them with all the materials at their disposal from arriving early enough to set up and settle to do their jobs?

Accreditation would be scheduled for 8am for instance and yet even at noon until the afternoon, they are nowhere to be found in some polling units! Some ballot papers would have names of parties excluded, what manner of ineptitude? What stops them from requesting and ensuring live coverage at all polling booths? That way every activity down to counting of votes and announcements are on record.

Apart from INEC, the major issue again is the security personnel that forever align themselves with the government of the day, never maintaining neutrality and strict compliance. Before long they are involved in ballot snatching and intimidation of even the INEC personnel so where does that leave the electorate?
No doubt, INEC shares some of the blame especially in terms of their recurring logistics excuse. However, we are talking about the violence and daring/full frontal malpractices here, INEC cannot be blamed for that. INEC conducted elections in 36 states of the federation, the election in Rivers state last year was marred by the most shameful form of malpractices, the election was cancelled and rescheduled. Now the rescheduled election turns out to be far worse than the first, and most of it has been cancelled again. This obviously isnt an INEC problem cos this same INEC conducted elections in 35 other states.

Nigeria is in trouble and I blame our leaders for chasing away Ghanaian teachers who would have impacted common sense into us years ago.
Which is better?
To release FALSE RESULTS OR to certify accurate results?
A case in point is the State issue.
Flashback to 2015 elections. APC, international observers, non-partisan citizens etc. cried out that the elections should be cancelled cos it was marred seriously with violence and malpractices. They alleged that the PDP used federal might cum dss, military, police, navy, militants, etc to intimidate and marginalise dem from voting. There were killings...BB snatching, name it. APC ppl were overwhelmed and caught unawares. Now,instead of someone to do the right thing and investigate, the person went ahead to release results, all because she was working in tandem with the federal govt.

In 2016, the Rerun was marred by a different version of violence and malpractices. Both parties were prepared! PDP will repeat what they did in the last elections, APC were fully charged to match violence for violence. Infact, Supreme Court verdict even stirred the venom Sef. The only difference was that APC had the military etc with the inactivity of the federal Boss, PMB. Of course we know the outcome. Amazingly, the PDP was crying out like the APC did last year and immediately gained public sympathy simply cos people hate PMB for no just cause. The REC, seeing what happened, suspended actions until reports from fieldworkers return, JUST LIKE JEGA DID when he sent 3 "PDP" fieldworkers to investigate the malpractice claims for 3 days. He would rather release clear results than concocted ones.

Now instead of people to do some critical analysis, they just put blame on PMB and say INEC is incompetent. Did INEC put guns and matches in the hands of rivers people? If you conduct a rerun in the north today, it will be peaceful. I'm sure Results will come out. But south-south, okpari! Look at rivers and bayelsa. Even if you put Obama and Donald Trump to conduct it, there will still be violence and malpractices becos the missiles are still with the boys, and are willing to be use their WMDs.

I pity/pray for Edo state, which is coming up soon. God help them. But please leave all these childish zombie talks. They sound like stuffs illiterates actually gut out. And it's even funny when someone says it and still calls PMB an illiterate. Who's more illiterate?

Let's have mature discussions on NL when serious issues like this pops up. Neither INEC nor PMB is to be blamed for Rivers rerun results' mishap. It's we Rivers People.
Thanks you very much!

The imbecility that has bedevilled our youths (and adults alike) these days is frightening. I feel embarrassed being a Nigerian when I see some of these comments; I was even more embarrassed seeing Sen Ben Bruce (who should know better) making the same senseless comments scolding INEC for suspending announcement of the Rivers election results. I just can't understand how some people think.

I don't understand why Nigeria has been inflicted with diseased leaders like Buhari; a brain dead Quota system retired Army Major General/ a coup plotter who was tolerated by Obasanjo as a petroleum minister despite his incompetence.

So the mronic junketeer now hopes to increase power from 1500 to 3500MW and later 2000MW, when he met it at 5000MW, so what has changed?

Politics › Re: Fayose Dares Buhari On State Of Emergency In Ekiti, Rivers, Says It Won't Work by obailala(m): 5:31pm On Mar 21, 2016
DONSMITH123:
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, on Monday said any attempt by President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency in Ekiti or Rivers State would be resisted.

Fayose spoke with State House correspondents shortly after taking part in the economic retreat organised by the National Economic Council inside the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governor said he was aware that Buhari was planning a state of emergency in Rivers State over the bloody election rerun that took place in the state over the weekend.

He said he was also aware that the President had the same plan in stock for the people of Ekiti State.

However he said if he went ahead with the plan, Buhari would be thought a lesson that power belongs to the people and not their leaders.

He said, “They have been insinuating that (state of emergency) too in Ekiti. We have been waiting for them. Power has gone beyond the leaders; power has gone back to the people.

“You want to declare state of emergency, declare it and we will tell you that the state of emergency will not work too. This country belongs to all of us.”

Fayose criticised what he called the militarisation of the Rivers rerun.

He insisted that the military has no business in electoral matters.

He urged Buhari to sustain the legacy of free and fair elections which his administration inherited.

“The military has got no business in our election.

“If you watch the trend, PDP has always won all the elections after the annulment. Which means what happened in Rivers is just a service of ego of some individuals who believe they have Nigeria in their pockets and they can call the President at will to deploy the military.

“It is unfortunate that somebody would allow the military to kill his own people.

“I strongly condemn the elections in Rivers and charge that we sustain he legacy of transparent elections.

“For me in Ekiti, we learned from that and we are prepared. We prepare for election every day and we are fully prepared,” he added.

Fayose also said the Ekiti lawmakers currently being detained by agents of the Department of State Services had further confirmed what he described as the rascality of the agency of government.

He said it was unfortunate that the Federal Government would decide to look away and allow innocent Nigerians’ rights to be trampled upon.

Conversely, it is the man who lacked the capacity to account for the money he requested that is the illiterate.

Mr. Obasanjo, the bucks stopped at your table as the president, therefore, you are the illiterate in this context.

To the contrary, Nigeria was much more on the world table when GEJ was there than now. You met 3 billion dollars in reserves and oil price at 9 dollar per barrel. And yet you did your best.

But, the crying baby Buhari met 30 billion dollars in reserves and price per barrel at 4x more than you did and yet is still confused on what to do one year after.

Rather than come out clean and scold the Daura dulllard, mba!, you chose the soft target GEJ to whip. No country progresses this way. Pure hypocrisy.
That Nigeria could survive in 1999 with $3bn reserve and $9 oil price does not necessarily mean the $30bn inherited in 2016 is better. Remember we now have much much higher bills to pay (salaries etc) and there is a much higher demand for forex .

A VISIT TO SHOPRITE TODAY, A WASTED 3HOURS

On hearing the news about the opening of shoprite in Owerri, my family and I decided to pay them a visit .
Our visit was to, among others confirm if it has the same standard as the one in Enugu, and at the same time, pick some household items.

As soon as we entered the mall, my brothers and sisters, come see crowd. People packed in the mall like fish in a pack of sadin, causing go slow such that under the brand new industrial air conditioners I was sweating. When my little daughter could not bear the heat anymore, she began to cry. My wife had to take her to the car (I was determined to pick some items, since I had already come) .

We managed to do some shopping, and which took us about 1hr 45mins to conclude due to "human traffic".
Then I proceeded to the payment center, joined the queue. It took about 15mins to make the 1st shift on the line, despite the fact that there were about 10points.
I stood in the line for another 30mins without a result. By this time, my kids were worn out, all crying.
I had to abandon all I had shopped and headed home immediately with them.

After spending about 2 and half hours, I achieved nothing.
While waiting at the pay center, I saw people struggling to get a shopping basket. On my way out, a huge crowd were waiting outside the entrance of the mall, I understood the security men had stopped them from entering, hoping to decongest the mall before they go in.

Nna, I said na wah oo, so if I suffer make my money, I go also suffer to eat my money. God forbid!
