The worst international airport in the world. |
Some buffoons are already saying Buhari is an Ekuri man. ![]() |
kcmichael: Taking a proper look at Wike, he looks like someone who could actually do a thing like this. ![]() |
LOL... Rivers state people and electoral violence sef... Na only una waka come? |
segtak25:These Jonathanian wailers knowing fully well that corruption was one of the biggest impediments which brought down their lord and messiah would continue making desperate attempts to throw the corruption mud at Buhari. Sometimes I feel nothing but pity for these guys. |

dtruth3:Your questions have nothing to do with this thread (except you would want to open a new thread). Remember this thread is about how Buhari's incompetence has led to a crash of Nigeria's GDP growth from the high figures Nigeria enjoyed during the heydays of GEJ? I have simply come in here to puncture that lie and expose the ignorance of the Op and those cheering him on. Regarding your diversionary questions, politicians are politicians and they will always make incredulous promises towards elections. GEJ promised heaven on earth, we had the opposite which even worsened when oil price began to crash; likewise Buhari and co. It is left to me and you to use our intelligence to discern realistic promises from unrealistic ones. Something else you need to note is that Buhari hasnt spent up to 25% of the tenure time (and he still grapples with rock-bottom oil prices), so it is pointless to judge his reign now or to compare his short reign with that of someone who spent over 5 years (when the nation had unprecedented oil boom). In all fairness, if oil prices remain low, the only reasonable assessment of Buhari's government should be in his ability to reasonably diversify the economy within 4 years; any attempt to make a direct comparison between he and GEJ (in terms of infrastructure) especially with the rock-bottom oil prices is not only unreasonable but also silly (but even at that, I'm sure he would do better at infrastructure because we wouldn't be having incessant cases of contractors pocketing money and disappearing). |
anonimi:In comparison with his peers, he did excellently well; that's the point I was making. |
DauraDullard0:Lol... Shouldn't an adult enjoy his God given freedom to support whichever candidate his heart desires?.... Na by force to support who u support?... If the father disowns Charles, Charles should also disown the father. Case closed! |
dtruth3:The point I'm trying to make is very simple, Nigeria is a mono-economic nation solely dependent on the sale of oil. The oil price crashes and Nigeria's economy crashes directly proportionally. A similar trend happened in 2008 the last time oil prices crashed and several oil producing countries are presently suffering exactly the same calamity as Nigeria. So quit your political sentiment fuelled 'I-am-too-smart' position and get your elementary facts right. |
Habakus:All those achievements were simply a direct result of high oil prices. If you doubt, kindly tell us what those figures were reduced to between October 2014 and May 2015 when the oil price crash began?.... Quit deceiving yourself, the info and statistics are all available for your consumption. |
OZAOEKPE:The only reason why you spit on the comment is because you've got absolutely nothing to say. You claim you googled my source?.... Bro, you dont even need to do that; I pasted the direct link. But if you claim you didnt see it, here it is again http://www.tradingeconomics.com/nigeria/gdp-growth-annual Also if you feel this 'sauce' isnt sweet enough, here is the direct link to the GDP growth info page on the website of the NBS which conveys exactly the same info. http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/nbslibrary/economic-statistics/gross-domestic-product |
DauraDullard0:No! I wasn't the one who brought politics into this, this also isn't the first thread where this issue has been discussed and in all cases, it has been graced with all manner of political interpretations. I wouldn't just wake up and drag GEJ into a matter if something didnt prompt it. Kindly go back and read from the first comments on this thread. |
Only ethnically/politically/religiously sentimental people with a prejudice for Amaechi can open their mouths and say Amaechi did nothing in Rivers state. Another set of people who may also say this are ignoramuses who do not even know where Rivers state is on the world map. That being said, even though Amaechi was 100 times better than Odili and also better than almost all other southern governors, he could have actually done more with the resources at his disposal. Hopefully, Wike would break his record. |
DauraDullard0:I am human and I am also seriously disturbed about the animalistic nature of the fulani invaders but what I find silly is when people choose to politicise a problem of this nature, just like the bokoharam problem was politicised. When people start making assertions that my choice to vote out an adjudged ineffectual leader is equivalent to a vote in support of the devilish fulani massacre; I find it repulsive and outright foolish that people choose to play politics with everything they can lay their hands on irrespective of what long term damage this may cause. There has always been irate Muslim youths killing people in several uprisings in the north before 2015, there have always been fulani massacres in the middle-belt region long before Jonathan vs Buhari. So trying to imply by any means that my support for a Buhari presidency over Jonathan means a support of this killings, or trying to preach to people to vote Jonathan or a Christian or a southerner as the ultimate solution to the killings, I find that to be an imbecilic political divide-to-win tactics using religion/ethnicity which doesn't do any society any good. |
dtruth3:www.tradingeconomics.com is a renown site which provides up to date world economic data. There is a reason why it is the first site which pops up on a google search for economic indices of different countries. But since the info supplied is to your disappointment and you have chosen to discount a credible source, kindly go to the National Bureau for Statistics' webpage below and download the exact same information: http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/nbslibrary/economic-statistics/gross-domestic-product betterABIAstate: dtruth3:I wasn't expecting you to be impressed or excited with the raw facts. |
OZAOEKPE:Frustrated jonathanian pained that a pastor and the general kicked out his ineffectual lord and saviour GEJ. No surprise that you think the pastor is fake ![]() |
OZAOEKPE: I wasn't expecting you to say anything else. ![]() https://news.hiphopearly.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Drake-laughing-11.png |
Silly title and silly report meant to put butterflies in the tummy of ignoramuses. I can already see OZAO-EKPA gleefully leading the celebration of this ignorance on behalf of the jonathanian pack ![]() Nigeria's GDP growth rate fell to 2.3% in 2Q 2015. Please remind me who was ruling Nigeria then? http://www.tradingeconomics.com/nigeria/gdp-growth-annual https://cdn.tradingeconomics.com/charts/nigeria-gdp-growth-annual.png?s=nigeriagdpyoy&v=201603120907n @stephenduru, Even a primary school pupil with basic understanding of figures and dates can see from the chart above how the GDP growth began to plunge uncontrollably from over 6% in 3Q 2014 (when oil crash started), to 2.35% in 2Q 2015 (when oil was even still selling above $60). Yet some ekpas are here celebrating that Buhari is responsible. cc: ammyluv2002, OZAOEKPE, hurricaneChris, dtruth3, You guys should fall in here and cure your ignorance. ![]() |
imhotep:To help you appreciate the calibre of human that was kicked out of Aso Rock, just days after Obanikoro and others admitted that the ekiti audio tapes were indeed real (but denied foul-play), Wall Street Journal asked uncle Jona whether he was going to investigate the contentious audio recording and his response was: "It's all fabrications, why should I investigate things that are not real?" ![]() http://www.wsj.com/articles/nigerian-president-wants-u-s-troops-to-fight-boko-haram-1423850893 http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/177009-without-investigation-and-despite-admissions-by-fayose-adesiyan-jonathan-says-ekiti-rigging-tape-fabricated.html http://saharareporters.com/2015/02/15/jonathan-claims-rigging-audio-tape-secretly-recorded-army-captain-during-ekiti-poll-was |
imhotep:What does that statement have to do with the topic? ![]() |
imhotep: "...After a rebasing exercise almost doubled its GDP to more than $500bn..."When I see such arguments, it clears all doubts about the intellectual capacity of most Jonathanians. ![]() After seeing the above, they still celebrate that GEJ 'increased' Nigeria's economy to no 1 in Africa and then you wonder whether these folks have an idea what 'rebase' means. |
cassyboy: Lol.. The delusion of an ignorant Jonathanian knows absolutely no bounds. Living in a pool of lies and deceit is the only reason why any normal human can think GEJ was a saint.1. GEJ did not increase Nigeria's economy to No. 1 in Africa; only ignorant people or just plainly dumb people do not know this. Nigeria had risen to the top spot long before GEJ ever dreamt of being president. We only realised we were no 1 when the economy was rebased under GEJ, but that does not mean GEJ 'increased' our economy to no 1. An average student should be able to understand this. 2. Pre-1960 narrow gauge rail tracks (which are no longer used anywhere in the world) were refurbished and some snail speed trains which derail weekly and which takes 2 full days to travel from Lagos to Kano were planted. That does not seem to me like progress especially in 2016; if it's progress to you, fine! 3. In 2011 alone, GEJ paid over N2.1trillion to the fuel import cabal to flood the markets with fuel. The importers were over-satisfied as they kept dribbling the maga president and feasting on our collective resources. It was a good thing though that we had fuel, but the real question smart people ask is, "at what price did we get that fuel?" If I send a little 8 yrs old kid to go buy me some fuel and he actually delivers, I would be impressed that he was able to get me the fuel I needed, but I would surely be dissappointed when I hear he bought a litre for N1000. 4. Which infrastructure?... the ones on paper or the ones on ground?... The deceivers know how gullible most of you are, no wonder someone cooked up a report that 'Fashola said' GEJ built 25,000km of roads. And then I begin to wonder how many roads are even in Nigeria for 25.000km to be built in the last 5 years yet all the federal roads in my neighborhood (the entire SS and SE) are still in a sorry state. Gullibility reigns supreme! 5. Steady light under GEJ?.. I would take it from you that you are joking right?.. or maybe you live in Saturn? 6. Naira was roughly 150 when GEJ took over and it was stable almost all through cos oil prices and earnings was high. Within the last 6 months of GEJ (when oil prices began to crash), the Naira fell from roughly N166 to N220 meanwhile oil still sold above $60. We know what oil has sold for as low as $28 since PMB took over hence the reason behind the fall in the naira is clear to anyone with even half of a brain. 7. In early 2015, GEJ borrowed to pay salaries. Today with oil pprices significantly lower, the FG isnt borrowing to pay salaries. An advice for you, go treat yourself of your crass ignorance, open your eyes and your mind, purge yourself of ethnic/religious and tribal bigotry and then you would be able to see and discern properly. To correct your Israelite analogy, Buhari is presently the Moses who has come to take Nigeria out of the hands of selfish thieves, diabolic squanderers and lootocrats who have held Nigeria in bondage for decades. It isn't strange that Nigerians are complaining about the painful process because even the Israelites lamented and threatened to stone Moses when they were still in the wilderness on their way to the promised land; most of them even prefered to go back to Egypt. |
The guy has got weak genes... ![]() |
Jonathians will not like this thread. Countdown to the wailers descending on this thread with hard venom. 3-2-1... |
Jesus!!... This power station looks like post-WW2 Berlin |
egalitarian78:Have you imagined that most times, it it the media that runs to EFCC in search of food (news) and not the other way round?... Hence the reports are always being incomplete with the EFCC officials refusing to give full details. |
What would an Obama visiting Nigeria do for Nigeria?. .. Is that also a sign of progress? ![]() |
No need to tell Nigerians all this anymore, I think we've heard enough already. Just make the moves to recover the recoverable portions of these funds, use the funds to surprise Nigerians with development and jail the perpetrators for life. |
ilawanson44:It is an emergency situation and in emergencies, people improvise to survive. The manufacturers are improvising to survive and it is indeed a good thing. Furthermore, Buhari did not put any cart before any horse, he isnt the one who didnt diversify our economy, he isnt the one who crashed global oil prices and he isnt the one who led Nigeria into its present economic woes where we are currently having a negative balance of trade. In view of the present circumstances, the restrictions on forex is an inevitable move aimed at saving Nigeria from an impending collapse due to the negative balance of trade. Go and read about what is happening to nations like Greece or Venezuela and you will not jump into the same boat with the mass of ignorant/prejudiced critics who think Buhari or the CBN are being silly or are being the villains by restricting the distribution of forex. |
