UmuEri: BushidoBlue: Omambala1:Okay i'm sorry guys, the prototype flies. Infact it even flies for more than 2 hours depending on wind speed and atmospheric pressure. You win! |
UmuEri:Tell me about it |
Lvlink:Why cant you understand my point?... The boy isn't here on nairaland, I am not in any way mocking the boy; go back and read my responses on this thread. |
dougivilla:The administration is 2 months old, this isn't the time to expect commissioning. The projects we look forward to aren't instant 2 minutes noodles. So yes, as humans, the only thing that keeps us going is 'hope,' the hope that these projects would come to pass in due course.... and may I add that I am more inclined to believe this government in 'some areas' than past governments. |
Omambala1:I don't have a problem with the boy constructing a helicopter prototype, I find that rather impressive for a boy of his age. But where I have a problem is with the Op who claims the prototype flies for 2 hours, and then he goes ahead to tout it as a technological achievement of Igbos. I am Igbo by the way, and I find that rather embarrassing for an adult to say that. Omambala1:You are the foool for believing that the prototype flies for 2 hours, you don't even deserve a response for your buffoonery. |
engrkenny:Kaiii... that's harsh ![]() |
With the way Ateke keeps fraternising with nollywood stars on a daily basis, I predict that he would feature in a movie very soon ![]() |
UmuEri:I don't need help, you are the one who does for happily believing and spreading the news that this prototype flies for 2 hours ![]() |
Lvlink:Naaa, I'm not discouraging the boy, it's actually a very impressive project for a young kid; some of our university graduates can't even develop something close to this. But I am rather amused at the Op who claims the helicopter flies for 2 hours non-stop. ![]() ..and I find it rather embarrassing that the Op boasts of this as an Igbo technological advancement. |
UmuEri:The real clown isn't the boy who designed and constructed this tincan toy, the real clowns are those people who are gathered around watching in amazement and the biggest clown is the Op of this thread who in wild excitement, is amazed at the 'marvellous technological ingenuity' of the little mbaise boy and is very proud to showcase this thing as an Igbo achievement. Probably this is what nnamdi would use to kill every single person in the zoo in the fullness of time ![]() https://www.gifbin.com/bin/052009/1243271414_black_guy_laughing.gif |
A lot of foreigners are simply sceptical about investing their money in Nigeria because of the stinking level of corruption especially at the top. I mean, foreign investors could bend their rules when it comes to corruption from little fishes at the bottom, but when it comes to blatant, glaring shameless institutionalised corruption from the big bosses at the highest offices, that situation scares the living hell out of big foreign investors. I will never forget the statement made by Virgin's Richard Branson when he packed his bags and left Nigeria for good. Nothing could be more embarrassing. But I'm sure with a renown Buhari and the media and publicity he receives as a no-nonsense hater of corrupt practices, the investors who have been patiently watching and waiting would definitely flock in pretty soon. We are definitely in better days and it doesn't matter whether some people like it or not. |
I think this is a good idea. But it should be run by private corporations please. |
whirlwind7:Hahaha... The media has turned the man into a celebrity overnight. This is obviously not unconnected with the ethnic based circumstances surrounding his appointment. It has just made the man much more popular. ![]() |
Okay... food has come for the haters of the wailers' fold... Bon appetit and easy on the insults! ![]() |
I would have voted for her any day.... She's on a totally different league. |
bolaino:But isn't that what politics is all about?.. not the untruths though but the spins and the propaganda? APC should also think of grooming a 'Barcanista' on nairaland whose ONLY job should be to counter every PDP spin/propaganda in an intelligent way. That's exactly what was done before they won and this isnt a time to relax and lazily shout 'wailers.' That was exactly what PDP did, relaxing and screaming 'GEJ till 2019' and it led to their loss. |
I think Barcanista's topics always make the frontpage because he takes his time to come up with thorough (though biased and lopsided) analysis of situations. What Barca does is simply the beauty of democracy, he's a pdp e-warrior and he seems like someone who has no other job than to dig up info and string up some beautifully nonsense arguments. ..and yeah, his lopsided stories always make the frontpage because he spends good time and energy to make them look beautiful. |
OfoIgbo:Lol... dont get too excited... The Aisha mentioned in that report is not Buhari's wife, but rather a fraudulent front used in transfering some of the funds. |
AtlanticBreeze:The idea was never to impress you... No one expects you and ilk to be impressed. |
Staunch catholic with all the juju wey the man carry for body and the 2 wives ![]() The man must be a don! |
Now that's a colourful city... No dirty brown roofs littering the skyline. It would be nice if they fix some street lights and mark the roads though. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2705140_sam0576_jpeg62470d94948f1ef1474dd0ec529c7978 |
magicminister:I am sure you left Nigeria a long time ago, or if you still live in Nigeria, I'm sure you mingle in the very wrong circles for you to be this ignorant of the present situation of things. FYI, a lot of top managers (even in banks) earn way more than that in Nigeria. |
Seun and Lalasticlala must hear this.. |
GEJ totally lacked the required grip and authority to rule a nation like Nigeria. With the kind of indisciplined and intimidating thieves occupying high places, Nigeria needs a leader who asserts authority and who's willing and able to step on big toes. Jonathan absolutely lacked this quality but rather had a 'meek/gentle' mien which totally isn't what Nigeria needs at this time. From left, right and centre, everyone close to authority in Nigeria just kept looting indiscriminately but Jonathan was just too scared to even allow EFCC do their job. Ethnic/tribal sentiments is truly worse than ebola; I find it very strange and embarrassing that up till now, I have hoards of friends who still believe GEJ was not only a good and fit leader, but also the BEST thing that ever happened to Nigeria but was voted out simply because he was a minority. It's just a shame that we have a large number of people who reason like this in Nigeria. May God help us recover from this mess. ![]() |
clevadani:Petroleum minister and petrol importers saw that the oga ontop was clueless, naive and weak. So they simply had a nocturnal meeting and decided to scam GEJ. And guess what?.... GEJ fell for the scam TOTALLY even against the loud warnings of NOI and Sanusi Lamido at the time. Since GEJ was too weak to deal with the scammers (even though he knew he was being scammed), Lamido and NOI had to advise him to completely remove fuel subsidies if he couldnt face the cabals and GEJ happily chose the option of punishing 170 million Nigerians because he was afraid of touching the less than 30 people subsidy cabal..... and that is the sort of authority-less individual that some humans wanted to continue ruling for 9 years.. Tufiakwa!... God loves us more! |
dokiOloye:huh!?... 'beyound' is that french or belgian or yoruba?... cos it's definitely not english (uk or us)... Stop exposing more of your crass ignorance on public. |
dokiOloye:..and this is exactly the reason why I voted the 'dullard'. Because all I wanted was a no-nonsense leader who could appoint smart people and ALLOW them do their jobs without corruptly or cluelessly medling. The same Emefiele worked under GEJ and he was the one who had to officially devalue the naira from 150 to 200. But the same Emefiele (because he now has a better boss) is the one supervising the rise of the naira and the speedy fixing of the problem. Just the same way the same NOI worked under OBJ and grew Nigeria's economy from zero to greatness, that same NOI worked under GEJ and all she could achieve was a plundering of the entire financial resources of Nigeria and leaving us in massive debts even though the country enjoyed massive oil income boom under GEJ's 5 years. More than ever before, I now understand the importance of having a good oga at the top. I can bet my life that even if PMB retains all Jonathan's ministers, those non-performers would suddenly become shining stars. I still cannot understand however, why any sane person cannot see how GEJ's lack of leadership grip and authority was ruining this country. As a matter of fact, GEJ supporters still flaunt this his meekness as a good quality, meanwhile it is the worst quality required of a 'Nigerian' leader. |
Jarus:Simple!... The matter is as simple as ABC for anyone who has half of a brain. But I'm sure a lot of people would start losing sleep while others would be rejoicing ("I told you" over this non-issue. |
Holyman3:Why do you keep contradicting yourself in a bid to sensationalise this issue?... Kindly name the 12 appointments and the 10 northerners. |
Hmmm.. Didn't know they had rain up north, strange! ![]() |
