buklan: seriously?and you should go to the post office ASAP just because someone says there are no jobs there doesn't mean there are no jobs for YOU, they might be speaking based on their abilities, qualifications or based on what they think a good job is, who knows whether the moment you step there an opening becomes available. |
MARD - made my heart weep especially scene when Mard was singing and clips were shown of women whose husbands had died, a man falling to his death in an attempt to build a house for the rich, indians getting shot by the colonialists etc. Mard is my favourite film of all times. The burning train was heart breaking too. I do miss the good old days of good Indian films unlike the modern ones that imitate hollywood.
very true, kai i remember when my mum will send my brother to go to the video club to rent 2 Indian movies on Saturday, then she will go and buy suya , my papa go just leave us for parlour go sleep , only to come out later to remind us that the gen will go off at 11pm and that we are going for 6.30am mass (THE KILL JOY), used to think she was the coolest mum in the world . |
Ayoobscom: This is why Nigeria cannot move forward a thief is caught and jailed it doesn't matter anymore where he hails and some annoying potential thieves are here shouting victimizationthank you very much, the most important thing is that his appeal was rejected , the UK is doing what will never have happened in Nigeria, even the mere fact that he was convicted in the UK is a shame on its own |
there would sooner be a cure for aids and all the various types of cancer in the world and the lochness monster will be caught on video before this Nigeria's electricity problem would be sorted . |

Sean lenux: Pls guys I will be coming to The University of Manchester in Sept for my MSc in Petroleum Geoscience. How do you see the school, living and studying in Manchester, getting a part-time job on campus, which hostel is the best to stay for Nigerians? Pls advice accordingly. Anybody in Manchester already for discussion. Thanks in anticipationfirst of all congratulations on getting admission into such a top university . In terms of on campus jobs every uni has a career service, they would post on their website vacancies(link 4) but you can also be on the look out for off campus jobs too within the area by checking local newspapers or job websites or word of mouth you know ask around (you must have it in your head that although people say there are no jobs , you are unique). Apparently my colleague at work was born in Manchester and she says that its cheaper and smaller than London, very multicultural so very mixed which is good , enough Nigerians . In terms of hostel accommodation, your finance would dictate that , you might want to stay in the uni hostel(link 3) for a couple of months while you organize yourself then move to a shared house(link 4)which will involve you staying with other people in a flat , the more people in the house the cheaper it will be . Before you arrive , get in touch with the international students office, they will advice you. you need information right now so gather as much as you can before you land oh http://www.manchester.ac.uk/undergraduate/studentlife/ http://www.manchesterstudenthomes.com/Accommodation http://media.stars.manchester.ac.uk/files/accommodation/M216%20AccommGuide2014_v7.pdf http://www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/students/ |
ebamma: Should atheist head a church?simple but right on the money point made here ,having said that it depends on what health institution it is, if it is one that deals with core medical areas like nursing, maternity, children’s health etc then preferably a doctor or someone who is medically inclined should head it but if it is policy making , strategic leadership etc then perhaps the person need not be medically inclined . |

morpheus24: Europeans spend their time traveling their continent which keeps the currency within their region, creates different culturela awareness, helps create a tourist industry and promotes jobs,i want to believe that there is a tourism industry in each African country they have the duty to encourage people to come to their countries, they need to entice us , they need to big up their countries tourist attractions , they need to wow us as consumers , pictures, literature, functional websites, they need to pally with travel agents to create solid holiday packages that includes start to finish process of organizing a holiday. MARKETING BASICALLY!!!! we as consumers need to know what experience they are offering before we start taking annual leave and buying ticket. We cant book our holidays based on sentiments |
I moved into my apartment around satellite town July last year and very recently(Last month) i have been experiencing something strange. The first was about a month ago, i got back home and immediately the light was restored, i noticed a Bat flying in my room(my personal). I immediately launched an attack and killed it, i also ensured it was completely burnt to ashes. Then Two days later another one appeared. This time it was witnessed by myself and my neighbor and we both attacked it and killed. I decided to close every opening in my room and ensured my room was always locked after that second experience. Just this morning again, i woke up with my lights still dim, i heard some strange noise inside my room again, i quickly reached for the light switch and low and behold another Bat in my room again. This time am very very terrified. I think something is wrong and have to cry out. How on earth can a Bat enter a room with doors and windows closed, no opening anywhere? What could be the significant of this horrible creature crippling into my bedroom room while am asleep? My people, am not a believer of superstition, but this experience is terrifying and i think i need some counsel. Please anybody with similar experience should advice as am determined to put an end to this repeated development. Abeg HELP!
it appears there is a colony within the local area.if you are unlucky a nursing colony, which means that the adults are going nowhere also which means that if you kill the adult ones , the babies will die and according to the article i read looking for the carcasses go hard you die ,clearly they are already in the house . so dedicate one weekend to finding possible broken or poorly-fitted doors, loose tiles, Locations where pipes or wiring enter buildings, but take note in the process of blocking crevices you might block their point of exit too, but this seems to be the cheapest way to get rid of them permanently by plugging accesses. Don't try to catch the bats. It'll be difficult, and they might bite you. On a positive note , with bats you have your very own in-house mosquito repellent as they eat thousands of nasty bugs such as mosquitoes |
