Celebrities › Re: Tonto Dikeh Sparks Outrage with Photo Of Her "Maid' Wearing Her Gucci Sandals by obiscolly(m): 8:44am On Jul 22, 2014
Please what's wrong in being a maid? Are there not people called nannies, baby sitters, drivers? Naija and una wahala sef. That's just a designation of her relationship with the girl. I see no reason why you guys should read any meaning into it. It's just the idea we have and the way people treat maids in Nigeria that's causing this negative response.

armadeo: Which better strategy. Jermaine stands to gain by association with square than square with him. The dude is broker than poo.
Well the point I'm trying to make is that they have a connection with the Jackson family in general and not just Jermaine. It's gonna pay them in the long run.

medoty: Yes. That one is for the Presidential awardees. But this one is for all.
I don't think everyone got this mail. Please anyone that got it should signify let's know what's happening. Cos I don't see them interviewing 1200 people.
Business › Re: Youwin Business Competition 2013 by obiscolly(m): 1:42pm On Jul 21, 2014
stagger: This can only mean one thing: The YouWIN secretariat has got wind of all the people who had proposals written for them as well people acting as fronts for others behind the scenes. There were no such interviews in YouWIN 1 and 2.

Well, to those who wrote their business plans themselves, congrats. You have a chance. To those who fielded business plans written for them by others and those acting as fronts, this is the end of the road.
Can't say for sure. During our workshop in ph, a youwin 2 awardee that spoke to us said she was invited for an interview. She was selected among those with the best business plans. She said they needed it to choose the best for the zone or the country...can't really remember.
Business › Re: Youwin Business Competition 2013 by obiscolly(m): 1:24pm On Jul 21, 2014
I got the mail too. Interview again huh I thought it was straight to shortlisting successful candidates?
Education › Re: Not For The Weak Minds; Try This Quantitative Reasoning Question. by obiscolly(m): 1:15am On Jul 21, 2014
1) 10% not 12.5%. 12.5% is the percentage of the money she had at home.
2) 70% is my best guess. For the profit to be calculated there should be a mention of the cost price. And that wasn't mentioned. However since 'decent profit' was used in the question it's safe to estimate the cost price to the initial price of the radio (assuming the initial price is at zero profit).
Original price= profit + initial price
35= profit + 25
Profit= 10.
So 10/14.27 * 100 = 70%

Politics › Re: Miraculous Delivery Of Oga Jonah By Chimamanda Adichie by obiscolly(m):
Great write up. She addressed the main issues GEJ needs to focus on. Also love the way humour was infused to the whole story to make it sound not so offensive to Oga Jona. All those criticizing her should take a chill pill. This is what God has given us talents for-to make an impact in our generation. She's channeling her creativity to a just cause and I'm pretty sure GEJ will get to read and learn one or two things from this story.

May God grant me a wife this brilliant wink
Romance › Re: How Do I Keep My Long Distance Relationship Sparkling by obiscolly(m): 5:41pm On Jul 18, 2014
I've never been in one. Something I'd love to try out though. Sounds interesting wink @op even though I don't have the LDR experience, I'll advise you set time out to pay her a visit and make the experience one she will not forget in a long while. Skype and IM are also cool. Just try to keep track of the important things in her life on daily basis and make sure you have a great sense of humor and wild sense of imagination wink

Thebrightest: Don't tell me you believe blackberry OS is the best OS because if you really do, then you should be the one who needs to wake from a slumber which was propagated by excessive ignorance.
There's a big difference between BBOS and BB10. Google is your friend. You can do a quick search on the recent popular polls conducted. The picture I even posted says much so i can't bother myself arguing without facts. Do your research and come up with figures then we can take it up from there.

Great day! smiley

frainc: do you expect me to lie like some here that I use something bigger?

And tell me
Why should I buy the BB10 while there is something more lucrative I can do with the money?
Nobody is saying you should lie. But at least if you don't have first hand experience of the latest model devices, we don't expect you to even make any comment. Stop showcasing your ignorance. You'd have been better off as an observer. Bold 6 that I dumped 3 years go undecided Do you know how many new models and OS updates that have been released since then?

The only thing I believe that make BB more enjoyable is the subscrebtion and nothing more

If naija network operators can have a special package for android phone like bb
Then BB will be a forgotten issue
Which BB exactly?
