SamNaijaboy: LOL... Let's wait till 2023 please... They can contest all they want. As long as they don't get the PDP and the APC tickets. Because those are coming down south. And should both not come down south, they can rule over a balkanized Nigeria. The Yoruba will only agree to stay in Nigeria if a Southerner is president after the 8 years of the north. Anything else and we will leave. And since we are the glue that holds Nigeria together, everyone else will leave. We prefer to be beaten to the post by another Southerner than have another Northerner there. If you are from the North, perish those thoughts. Na your Southern oil block you dey play with so. I guess this is a way for the SE to try to achieve Biafra. Hoping the North makes the mistake to try to keep it for themselves knowing Yoruba will revolt. But the Northerners are smarter than you give them credit for. Greed to hold on to the presidency will break the country. Fact! They won't even try it They will do it and nothing will happen. Infact, all they need to do is to gather the support of a few strategic Yoruba backstabbers leaders and the deal is sealed. Knowing the yorubas, this won't be difficult |

Dont forget that Obj became president as a concession, same will happen 2023. Imagine from prison to President. He was chosen by the North and they will choose someone to hold it for them again.
Jumping from one political miscalculation to another is what the PDP is known for right now. They miscalculated in 2015, spending money like tomorrow no dey, even crashed the economy but failed. Used very stupid propaganda in the build up of 2019, it crashed. The 2019 election, they miscalculated heavily thinking campaign turnout and social media polls will give them victory, now they convinced themselves falsely in one of the freest and fairest elections of Nigeria so far to be a rigged one. Unfortunately, they began miscalculating 2023 already. my dear, get a paper and write this down: THE HAUSA/FULANI WILL NEVER HAND OVER POWER TO THE YORUBAS. IN 2023, ANOTHER NORTHERNER WILL BECOME PRESIDENT. Even If it takes breaking ties with the likes of Tinubu, Fashola and co before 2023, even if it takes orchestrating the death of Tinubu, osinbajo and other influential yoruba politicians, even if it will take liasing with the opposition parties to destabilise Lagos, the north will do everything it takes to remain in power. Christianity Etc › Re: Why It Is Wrong To Tell Nigerians To Dump God Because Of The Prosperity In China by obstead200(m): 1:24pm On Feb 17, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: These days, it is common to see people compare the situation in Nigeria, which has a huge population of Christians, to that of China a non-christian country. The people who make such comparison often say China which doesn't believe in the Christian God is prosperous with modern technology, industries, good governance etc, while Nigeria which they say is highly religious is filled with corruption, bad governance, infrastructural decay, poverty etc.
When these people make such comparison, what they are saying is that Nigerians need to put religion aside and devote their time to work for their country"s development. Well, it is a good thing to work for the development of one's country, but putting religion (Christianity) aside is one big evil advice. They are basically saying we should abandon God and chart our course ourselves.
The people who make these statements are usually the people against tithing and also against going to Church. According to them, how come China that doesn't pay tithe or have Churches is prosperous than Nigeria which has countless Churches and tithe payers? To an untrained Christian, their talk can make you lose the love for the things of God, but only those who read the Bible regularly are the ones who will not fall. They will not fall for those satanic lies of theirs because they stand on the word on God, which is what we will stand on today.
Hebrews 12:6-11 King James Version (KJV) 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Did you read the Bible passage above? It speaks of God's children and other children who are bastards. Did you see what the passage said about what happens to the sons of God? It says they will be chastised because God loves them i.e if they do wrong, they will be disciplined for it. It went on to state that any son who doesn't get chastised by God is a bastard son or not God's son.
A quick illustration is this: If your child asks you why you don't beat the child across the street who does whatever he likes which are mostly things you hate as a father, what will be your answer? You will simply tell your child that that kid across the street is not your child and so you are not going to spank him for doing whatever he wants. But for your own kid, you will spank him when he errs and reward him when he does good.
This is exactly what is happening with China. They are not God's children because they reject Christianity. They have decided to chart their course by themselves and have removed God from the equation. To them they are right in their own eyes.
Proverbs 14:12 (KJV) There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
God is not punishing them because they are not his children. That's why they prosper and get away with many things until judgment day.
But we his children, even though we may be going through trying times, we still prosper in the end. Example is Joseph whose brothers hated, sold into slavery and was locked up in jail. What later became his end? He was made second in command to the pharaoh of Egypt and was mightily blessed. What about Job? He was the most perfect and upright man in his region at the time but lost all he had in one day. He lost ten children, his cattle, sheep, camels etc. It became worse that he was even covered with sores. What was his end? God blessed him and all he lost were restored more than before.
Did Joseph or Job abandoned God during their trial period? No, they didn't. So, why are you paying attention to the voice that says you should dump God because Nigeria is going through a rough time? Why do you want to stop paying tithe because Dangote or Bill Gates who doesn't pay tithe is richer than you and they keep prospering? If you disobey God, he will discipline you as a father would. The reason why billionaires and non-christian are getting away with disobeying Good is simply because he's not punishing them because they are not his children. But he will destroy them in the end because he's their maker whom they failed to acknowledge.
Yes things are bad in Nigeria, but are they totally bad? Have you been to some African countries like Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone etc? Even Ghana respects us very much. But because we are not like China that is older than us, we are now being deceived to dump God and do whatever we like.
The day of reckoning is coming for all those who have abandoned God. Their destruction will be Swift and unexpected. But till then...
Joshua 24:15 (KJV) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD , choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD . this is nonsense!!! So far, religion has not brought us the required chastity, discipline and uprightness required for development. I strongly believe we should give religion a back seat in this country. All this bullshit about being children of God and China being children of devil is just hilarious. Plain stupid talk!!!. So are u saying that God chastises us by giving us a continuous string of bad leaders,,? Or ensuring we always have corruption in our lives? Are u for real bro?? Are we the only ones commiting sins? Are there no Christian countries that are prospering? Those countries are they all saints? This should tell u that Christianity is not a factor in deciding how a nation prospers. So maybe we should give it a back seat and try to do things differently. I actually feel that religion is a major part of our problems in Nigeria. We use it as an excuse to do so many things wrongly. |

Saying an average middle class can afford US university means you don't know what you are talking about. The student debt in the US is $1.5 trillion. Meaning most are taking loans they can't pay till they die. Bros, whenever I see ur Monika on my mentions, I don't bother replying to argue. Ur case is hopeless when it comes to matters such as this. Facts are: 1. Private church universities are not affordable. This is bad because it limits their ability to make the greatest impact in the society. Impacting on the lives of a few wealthy kids have not, and will never make the difference in Nigeria. Am sure u won't be stupid enough to dispute this. Most of those kids are either too isolated from the common Nigerian or even leave the country when they graduate. 2. I won't dispute the fact that the high costs in some schools like covenant is worth it. At least there, the students get real value for money, but that does not solve the problem of affordability. 3. Personally, I believe that when the cost\benefit analysis is carried out, most courses taught in these schools are not worth the high fees paid on them in terms of marketability in the Nigerian labour market. No matter how rich I am, I won't pay outrageous tuition for my ward to study business management, economics, mass communication, international relations, mathematics, statistics, etc. Plain waste of funds. |

Bagehot: $10,000 - university fees in America? Please don't make me laugh. Most poor or middle families in this same america you mentioned start saving for their children's university fees almost as soon as they are born, and in a lot of cases, the students take loans from the government that they struggle to pay back for decades. And even at that, how many graduates do $75,000 immediately after university?
In respect to Level 15 civil servants being upper class, you couldn't be more wrong -at best they are middle-class. Thats how poor their pay is. Level 15 officer is upper class by Nigerian (income) standards. Don't be silly. $10,000 - $15,000 per annum is the average foreign students pay in standard schools in the US, do Ur research. And yes, a graduate earns an average of 60,000 to 75,000 USD per annum, before taxes. Even if they earn only $50,000, Someone with kids of University age would have advanced reasonably in his career to earn more than this. Again, do Ur research. HigherEd: Ask the white missionaries of today why none of them has any free university today. I think that is the logical comparison. All the Catholic universities I know in the US are severely expensive. oga, expensive is relative. Average starting salary for a graduate in the US is 75000 dollars a year. Someone who earns that much won't see 10,000 dollar tuition fee as outrageous. Not to mention the availability of student loans that make things easy. So do you still feel that education is Soo expensive for those who live in the US? It costs them money agreed, but it is still within the range of what an average middle class worker can comfortably afford to spend on his kids without stealing. Can u say the same about the fees in covenant University and co? Can a state civil servant on level 15 comfortably train even one child in covenant University? And u can barely call a level 15 officer middle class, he is rather upper class!! |

If Oyo and Osun, two oil and tax(compulsory) funded states can't successfully fund one university properly how do you expect churches backed by donations to build a university and then run it from donations..
Where in the world have you seen a proper university run exclusively on donations? Universities owned by wealthy governments in the US, UK still charge thousands of dollars from their own citizens much less foreigners. Just enjoy your '3 months on 3 months off' public universities and let churches be. Lalasticlala Bros, Ur reasoning is twisted. Anyway, I recognise Ur Monika as a well known praise singer of the money churches and their deeds, whether right or wrong. Arguing with u is totally pointless. But the dude u replied is right. It does not make sense to build universities that can't impact on the lives of many because of the high tuition costs. I am convinced that 90% of these church universities are built just to stroke the ego of the church leadership. It has become a status symbol for big churches to own universities. Nonsense |
