Miaraka: I need time and space to help you see the point oif view and pain of ordinary South Africans. Clearly, you have no clue what some foreigners do in this country. Some of the things which hurt us deeply is when a guest or an African brother pulls out a gun and kills a traffic cop who's asking them to stop so that he can do his job or lures a little girl into sex slavery or invites investors into SA in order to rob and torture them to death or rob their own countrymen and blame it on South Africans or when they quarrel and kill each other and blame it on South Africans. and all that is enough to justify ur countrymen to take up arms and embark on a mass genocide of foreigners; (blacks in particular)? Really........? who is more evil? o not forget that the war cry as at then was "the nigerians have taking away jobs from the indigenes" it was never about all this factors u mentioned because let just face it; black south africa have seen a lot of violence and oppression. it is only natural if they exhibit the same violence towards other pple who "they assumed" cross their path. |

Miaraka: The criminal justice system in this country works like a well-oiled machine and without fear or favour. We are not perfect but we cannot be counted among the countries where there is no rule of law. If the man is innocent, let him ask his country's embassy to intervene or get himself a lawyer. Stop poisoning the minds of Nigerians. We don't hate Nigerians. We hate the horrible things that some of them do in this country. If we hated them, we would not fall in love with them, appreciate their music and movies, worship God with them, go to school with them, give them scholarship, allow them to compete with us for jobs, offer free medical care to those who can't afford, etc. Stop serving the interests of backward fiorces which cause conflict between Africans and thrive when Africans are at each other's throats. Lastly, stop defending the indefencible. maybe YOU dont hate nigerians. well, just ask ur fellow countrymen who are less enlightened. Ask ur traditional rulers. i am sure their opinion will differ from yours. |

Have u considered that this doctor might be genuine but is being persecuted because he is a foreigner in a plume Job or he must have fallen out of favor with whoever is in power over there. U know how much black south africans hate nigerians. It is not therefore far fetched to suggest that the charges might have been trumped up.NB: This is just a possibility. the lesson is that we should always examine issues from several perspectives. |

depressedsoul: PLEASE DON'T IGNORE
I was born and bred in Lagos Nigeria. i am over 30 but swimming in poverty. i attended a university in Ogun state but i dropped out due to the loss of my mother who happened to be my sponsor back then. My father died before i was 4years old so i had no one to fall back on. I am the only child and life has been so cruel to me. I have no job at hand. My fathers family has taken possession of his property at Agege Lagos because they insist my mother had me for another man due to stories i'm hearing for the first time since my parent's demise. The story of my life is so wide, bitter and depressing. The moral of my epistle is that i need a casual job to survive. I am contemplating suicide at the moment and i almost drank sniper insecticide today. This is my last attempt at survival before i do the needful on my existence. Nairalanders please help me find any legal job be it unskilled labour. I have tried and tried but to no avail. Pardon me for been incoherent. I am a depressed soul waiting to see if my life can have a second chance.
This is not fraud nor scam. if you really want to know how real my story is kindly send me a private message. yet u have money to buy MB and post on nairaland abi? I can help u. I want to send u a bottle of sniper solution so that u can just end it. |

Already, some insatiable ibo ingrates are already beating theirs chests saying he was the most qualified for the job and the school hand no other choice. What a pathetic tribe, the ibos. . @ the bolded; please keep bias aside. The regulations dictates that u appoint one of the DVC as acting VC in the event a VC leaves office. So technically and by law, he is the most qualified for the job. However, I will be very shocked if an igbo man is confirmed as d substantive VC of a state owned university in the south west. Even igbos (I am an igbo) will not appoint a non-igbo to such a sensitive post in their state owned institutions even if it is just in acting capacity. It will be a very bad political move for the government in power. Their opposition and the masses will crucify them for that. Such is the level of our ignorance and senseless tribalism in this country. I pray we all change. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Most Youths Give God Peanuts? by obstead200(m): 1:30pm On Nov 08, 2015 |
CrazyMan: Good morning and happy sunday to you all.
I'm writing this piece to notify most christian youths of their giving attitude towards God. I remember last sunday when I went to church, when it was time for offering, the girl sitting close to me just removed N20 (yes you heard me right TWENTY NAIRA!) From her purse, inserted it into the envelope and dropped it in the offering basket.
Looking at this lady, her sophisticated dressing, her phone, the kind of perfume oozing out from her, then dropping N20 to her creator.
To me I saw that as an insult to God. It would have been better if she didn't give any offering at all than embarrassing God.
If you love someone and want to appreciate him/her, even if you lack the funds to do so at the moment, you'll still go beyond your limits to prove to that person that you really love him/her regardless of what it'll cost you.
Likewise God. If we say we love him (God), then we should prove it by the kind of offerings we give to him.
If you have a boss you want to appreciate for a promotion he gave to you, would you give him a gift of N20 or N50?
Or you're a final year student whom your HOD just waived a course for so you'll graduate with your mates, would you buy him a gift of N20?
You'll end up provoking him and make him regret offering you that help rather than being commended for the gift.
In 2Samuel 24:24 David said.
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
So if a whole king like david refused to take a land offered free of charge by a law abiding citizen. How much more we who battle with foundational principalities and powers on daily basics, and still come out victorious. Thanks to the power in the name and blood of Jesus.
I want to charge us today that as we go to our various churches, we should appreciate God, if if we have nothing to thank him for, our being alive should be a testimony of his love towards us. So double your offerings by giving him something that cost you much and I'm sure that he in return would bless you abundantly.
Happy sunday to you all. please, Everyone reading this stup.id thread shud join me in telling this stu.pid OP to shut the f*.ck up
I am sure his father is either a pastor or he himself is the theifing church accountant. To make matters worse, look at how he is using twisted analogies and distorted bible verses to support his longthroat for offering money |
