PoliticsRe: Forget Ogbunigwe, Ever Heard Of Autonov 1? by obstead200(m): 2:44pm On Nov 14, 2011
If I was the president, I would have ordered the the IG to deploy "Otumokpor", sorry! "Otonov" to all Nigerian police formation in the North to aid their escape from all directions when Boko Haram strikes. Before that, adequate training will be given to the police drivers so that they will not drive from all angles at the same time lest they disintegrate the "Otumokpor", sorry! "Otonov" in panic.
I cant stop laughing.!!!!lwkmd!!!!!

But funny enough, he is not the person pulling the strings. He is only the puppet being manipulated.
Corporate America is the real evil genuis pulling the strings.
Foreign AffairsRe: Ghaddafi Is Gone, Now They Are Killing Themselves by obstead200(m): 12:19pm On Nov 14, 2011
[size=13pt]They have not seen anything yet. They will keep fighting and killing themselves while U.S  and their allies will keep supplying them weapons from their scrapped armoury at inflated prices whic they will pay for with their oil.

Lybians will never enjoy that oil again. they felt killing ghadafi will better their lives. they will now know the meaning of suffering.

[size=13pt] The One thing I love about the boko haram guys is how they utilise any available opportunity to waste members of the Nigerian police force. I wish dat is the only thing those guys do (I wish they dont kill innocent civilians). I will support them and if I have the cash, i will even fund them.
I've had several issues with naija police and each of those encounters only serve to ensure that my hatred for those cursed sons of satan grows in exponetial proportions

If u dont want to b her ATM den dont u ever slam her. U cant drain all her energy and leave her weak she will need a refill. Lool
What does she refill with? Is it blackberry, recharge cards, mary kay, shoes and bags?

I think it should just be pure water, yoghourt, locozade boost or plain old glucose.

@OP: Abeg, follow your lust, smash de babe and get it out of your system before its too late. Anyway, by the time you return to 9ja its unlikely you can pursue the relationship any further and neither would your gf get to know - unless of course you tell her, or else you will forever for the rest of your life be left wondering what if?
My sentiments exactly.

F.U.CK her and get it out of ur system. else u'll spend a lifetime wishing u did (especially when u see some1 dat looks like her)

PoliticsRe: Breaking News: House May Close Crude Oil Account by obstead200(m): 11:21pm On Feb 05, 2011
[b]it is common knowledge that in this country, as far as capital expenditure and overhead costs (not personnel costs) is concerned, for every N1 the government spends, they, (due to constantly overbloated pricing) receives only N0.20k value for money.

if the government is to increase efficiency, honesty and tranparency by bringing this value for money to, say N0.60k for each naira, we would have effectively cut down our capital and overhead cost by over 60% without foregoing a single benefit. that also imples that we would have cut down our total budget by at least 40%.
Now tell me, if we have the above indices, will we have to borrow? will we have to close the excess crude a/c by increasing our crude oil benchmark pricing?
Now what about the elements of those overhead and capital cost items, are there no areas that are purely unneccesary to incure expenditure on e.g why import fuel and pay heavy subsidy when we can get our refineries running and produce enough for our use?
I'll keep on saying that our problem in naija is corruption, hypocrisy, selfishness, and sabotage.

just my two cents.

we in africa are totally against homosexuality. but nothing, I repeat nothing, (but murder) can ever justify taking of an human life.

I personally believe homosexuals are sick and are to be helped, not forsaken.

how else could u describe a situation where are man leaves all the beautiful, soft and moist pu.na.na and ny.an.sh and decide to f.u.ck another man's bu.tto.cks?
Christianity EtcRe: Why I Took 65-year Old Wife, By Kumuyi by obstead200(m): 8:31am On Oct 30, 2010
@ pafuri, tudor and others like u.
kumuyi is one man of God I fully believe in his ministry. I respect him a lot b'cos, like someone said, he is the only man of God in naija without a single controversy to his name and standing.

I beg u, never in your entire miserable life to insult him again.

you may insult other men of God and get away with it. that is probably b'cos God knows that what you are saying about them is partially true.
But Kumuyi is innocent and righteous. the whole world can see it. if u are not silly, you can see it too.
I you slander him, make no mistake about it, God will punish you.

NB: I'm not a deeperlife member. Infact, I have issues with their strict doctrines. But I respect many of their leaders and members. Their righteousness simply cannot be faulted, if you want to be objective.
CareerRe: What Is The Best Thing U Like About your Workplace by obstead200(m): 7:56am On Oct 30, 2010
Formerly, I use to work in a bank as an Internal control officer. I love my job b'cos as far as that branch and all other branches I control is concerned, I am the boss. My word is law, even to the branch managers!

Ooooo! how I love being boss!!, I dont get to see my boss, who stays at the regional office in PH for at least 6 months. so there is no one to breath down my back about issues. I just make sure I send my reports on time.

Now, I work with a federal tertiary institution. full of older men and women with much less knowledge about contemporary issues in finance and IT. I love being the reference point, the solution master when it comes to issues that have failed every body. I am respected and even seen as a genuis.

, and before I forget, I also luv seeing all those beautiful female students and having the freedom to chose the best among them for a fling.

FamilyRe: Is The Fight For Equality Ruining Marriages by obstead200(m): 11:55pm On Aug 08, 2010
Now u guys are really beginning to scare me. I've always believed that submissiveness in marriage should emmanate from love and mutual acceptance of the man as the head of the home. The man should behave himself with honor and love his wife very much. Wherever the man needs to assert authority in making decisions, he should make a sincere effort to tell the wife why his decision is the best for the moment.
in return, the wife should love her husband and add submission to it.

from what I read in this thread, it seems that submission will only come as a result of age difference between the couple; This is what scares me cos I'm in a relationship in which me and the lady are about same age. In fact, she may be older than me by a few months, but I dont mind since i love her deeply and I mean to marry her.

does that mean dat she will seek to control me by default?
RomanceI Need To Win Her Love. by obstead200(op): 9:03pm On Aug 04, 2010
I know dis sort of issue has most probably been raised in NL before. All the same I'll still want suggestions on the way forward on this issue.
I have had quite a number of romantic relationships with quite a number of girls. As a matter of principle, i prefer not to deceive girls and I always endeavour to tell them upfront that my intentions were: purely sex, friendship and companionship. I never dangle the marriage carrot cos I know within me that I cant see myself marrying any of them. I also try to ensure that each of these relationships were terminated only by mutual understanding.

I recently met a girl with whom I have fallen very deeply in love with. For the first time in my Life, i saw someone whom my heart wholly accepts as a life partner, a wife. She is all i think about all day long. The constant puzzle in my head is, How do I make Onyinye happy? How do I make her see I'm crazy about her?

Of course, I approached her and sought to be her friend, which she accepted. I felt this will give her an opportunity to get to know me so as to decide if she would accept me for a husband.

After about three months into our casual friendship, I laid my cards on the table; I told her in summary that I love her and wish to marry her. She said she is not interested in a relationship right now. according to her, my personality is not the problem b'cos as far as she is concerned, I meet all her requirements in a husband; but she is just not interested.

I find that answer to be absurd since she is a graduate, she is about 28yrs and she is presently working. her answer really devasted me and I've not stopped wondering where exactly, I got it wrong! I mean, I cared deeply for her , more than I have cared for 20 of my past girlfriends combined, both in terms of money and in terms of love and affection.

I also feel I have most of the attributes even the best girls want in a guy. i'm tall, chocolate skinned, slim and athlectic, intelligent, a good job and a very nice car, very educated and also ambitious, generous and very caring (if I'm in love), a good dresser e.t.c I may not be drop-dead hansome but i'm certainly not ugly. Not to mention the fact that I come from a very good and honorable family that can hold it's head high in anyplace.

I would have assumed she is interested in another guy but she has repeatedly assured me dat she has no other relationship.

So where did I get it wrong?

I'm so much in love with her. do I continue hoping she would change her mind or do I just forget about her and take a walk?

can anybody suggest to me what else i should do to get her to be interested in me? i am willing to do anything proovided it is not an atrocity.

EducationRe: Which Course/subject Do You Like Most? Why? by obstead200(m): 6:59pm On Aug 04, 2010
I loved Coy Law too. I'm also an accountant, working on being chartered (biz keeps gettin in d way). It gave me practical insight into company registration, Winding up, partnership etc. I was about registering a company then, so it was invaluable information on-time. I hated the fact that sections of CAMA 1990 had to be in my head, word for word. On that note, i don't envy law students.
I read accounting too. am also chartered.
but i hate company law with a passion. The story is just too much and most times not very relevant to our present day business environment in naija.
But I'm in love with tax laws, financial accounting and, code hacking!
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Police Plan New Law Of The Jungle by obstead200(m): 10:48pm On Jul 26, 2010
Having read the above article, I was quite shocked with the phrase ' will enable the police to take on-the spot decision and action'. I don't know about anybody else's view but in my book that is licence for the police to run amok. We are talking about a corrupt, incompetent, poorly trained, inept and un-professional police force that even with the current checks in place still manage to commit attrocities beyond comprehension. So imagine that same force with a carte blanche power to do whatever. I shudder to think what will happen next, suffice to say that many innocent Nigerians are going to suffer. I do recognise that the menace of Kidnapping and other heinous crimes need to be checked, but giving the Nigerian Police Farce, oh sorry, I mean the Nigerian Police Force such powers would undermine the rule of law and our democratic values.
word!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is nothing else left 2 say.
RomanceRe: Open Relationships: Would You Have One? by obstead200(m): 2:00pm On Jul 25, 2010

there is nothing like open relationship. If u guys are tired of each other, then say goodbye, the world will not end because of it.

Pls try 2 realize that there is much more to a relationship than just f.u.cking each other.

I learnt that after several failed relationships. that is exactly why I'm not finding it easy to get back to a relationship.
EducationRe: Which Federal University is the cheapest in Nigeria by obstead200(m): 1:55pm On Jul 25, 2010
I really dont think u guys are correct.
There is no way the cheapest federal university will be in the southwest.

where are the northerners on NL? please come up with ur prices so that these posters can see! the cheapest University in Nigeria is BOUND to be in the north. Remember their government has to practically beg them to go to school (i.e until very recently.)

Mind u, I'm an Igbo man.

These corporate aquisitions always comes with some staff shake-ups.

PoliticsRe: Which Is The Most Corrupt Government Parastatal? by obstead200(m): 4:17pm On Jul 09, 2010
I will give the gold medal of corruption to the Nigerian police force. They also won both the silver medal and the bronze medal.
Other parastatals and government agencies will have to make do with the consolation prizes in the corruption competition

Anybody who disagrees with this has obviously not had any encounter with the police. in fact that person does not live in Naija.

LiteratureRe: What Kind Of Books Do You Read? by obstead200(m): 12:00am On Jul 07, 2010
WHEN I'M NOT READING FOR EXAMS, I PREFER TO READ BOOKS THAT WILL ENTERTAIN ME. TO BE ENTERTAINED, I NEED TO BE RELAXED. THAT MEANS I ONLY READ BOOKS THAT REQUIRE A MINIMUM LEVEL OF CONCENTRATION TO UNDERSTAND. IF U ARE CONCENTRATING TOO MUCH ON SOMETNING, U ARE DEFINITELY NOT RELAXED.

THAT EFFECTIVELY PUT MOTIVATIONAL BOOKS AND NONFICTION BOOKS OUT OF THE COMPETITION. GIVE ME CRIME, SCIENCE FICTION, MYSTERIES ETC ANY DAY.

BUT I MUST ADMIT THAT 4 MY OWN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, I'M SERIOUSLY TRYING TO FORM THE HABIT OF READING MOTIVATIONAL BOOKS.
