I strongly belive that giving every corper 1m after graduation will be a better option becos the service has lost it core value but imagine allocating 1m to every agric, engineering and accounting graduate after service. I am sure 50% will employ three graduate after a year of opperation. I belive we can look at such angle or try that option for two years and monitor the results. The present NYSC staff will keep tab and monitor the new graduate and give report on the progress. |

Stop this crave for super star develop your self. In my school civil engineering student 200 level and above live large by drawing plans and suppervising projects. If boko harem were attacking govt officials tha are not developing Nija many people will support and join them but they (bh) kill poor people that are turni.g to God for healing becos they cannot afford to travel to abroad for medicals and people who depend on divine provision for food, employement, biz connection and good health. Just passing by. Sometime ago FAO send some expert in fisheries to teach us how to inject and raise catfish. We ended up teaching them infact they were amazed and wonder why they (FAO) negleted our technology. They have the technology but we strive for the raw knowledge. 3 Likes |

My ppa was at Gashua in Yobe State. The people call 50naira note yobe. They like copers i served in the local govt. On my first night i woke up 4am and dressed for work becos by this time it is like 12 noon in lagos. No phone or laptop at the end of the month the chairman share money to everybody in the town and wait for next allocation. Got involve with NCCF and preach in the villages around. Yobe was peaceful then except that some times people from neibouring countries use to attack travellers. Gashua is about 9hrs from kano in a dirty tata bus. The Delta people their were friendly and accomodating while all the bizness were owened and manage by the ibos. It was 1999. Nice time |

As a kid growing up in the village. I was shamed booed and floged today. I can look back and say thank you for letting me know that it is wrong to allow myslf to be shamed. Most perants dont want proper training for their wards if you cannot give a controled flog to a child or shame him how do you correct. 1 Like |
