soe: OMG, whereas, in the UK, a fresh lecturer's starting salary is about £41,000 per annum ( Pls in the interest of health and safety, converting this to Naira without a four figure table is strongly discouraged) Bear in mind a 'fresh' lecturer in the UK, must have a PhD and some years of teaching and research experience. |

So rather than change the process, or investigate why certain candidates seem to be underrepresented, these bastards want to scatter everything. How do these idiots get voted into positions of authority? 'If its not benefitting us then it shall not benefit anybody' |

islandmoon: YOU ARE WORKING FOR MTN ON THIS THREAD? Right?? Omo jati jati! How much did they pay you? I don't work for MTN, I've never even had their sim card. Did you stop eating Suya because of Boko Haram or the conflicts in the North. Let's not be stupid here. MTN Nigeria has nothing to do with the Xenophobic attacks in South Africa, so why should they be punished? Furthermore, if hypothetically speaking of course, MTN Nigeria gets shut down today, for example, 500,000 Nigerians will lose their source of income. Does this make any sense to you at all? MTN Worldwide will lose one very profitable entity, yes, but they will continue with their operations and their lives. The poverty-stricken rioting South Africans who are looting food, will not be affected in any way whatsoever. Please let us use our brains before we talk. |

MrEdimulo82: Luxury goods? Really? you are part odf naija problems.....to have seen dstv service as luxury goods LOL. Nigeria's problem is DSTV bah? When I was growing up, only rich people had DStv. Maybe things have gotten so good in Nigeria that it seems like a necessity. NTA and AIT and Channels are free as air. If price of Dstv is a problem then stick to those free services. |

I dont understand when Dstv became a necessity and what grounds a law court has to dictate to a luxury goods provider how much to charge for thier goods. |

Amazon isnt cheap, neither are the products any more 'quality' than what Konga or Jumia supplies. The only way they will make any kind of meaningful difference is if they bring actual operations to Nigeria. |

theorbiters: Honestly, all these are just formalities. I can't imagine they are actually contesting against an incumbent president and think they stand a chance. Oh well, it is just a pity that all these would end up being a waste.
GEJ till our youth are ready to lead. So nobody should ever consider running against an incumbent, even when that incumbent has not performed up to standard? |
Romance › Re: When Did We Become So Tolerant Of The Other Woman? by ocheejemb: 4:30pm On Mar 25, 2015 |
mollysteeze: Over the years, in what is a total paradigm shift from the values a lot of our mothers had (well at least some), the "other woman" has now become tolerable. I am not sure when along the way it happened, and no one remembered to send me a memo but it appears to now be the norm.
But then, on the flip side, if you like smelling some other girls perfume on your man and having your kids run into daddy and "Aunty Bintan, the side chick" at the hotel near their school then go right ahead. Lol..paradigm shift? trend? LOOOL. No be today my dear girl. |

LOOL..So that's what you will do if you become President? LOL. Well, since that's very likely - you becoming President, I guess Nigeria-trained PhDs should be very worried in advance. President All4Naija is going to systematically ignore them as his first point of duty. Apoda. all4naija: Do you know what I will do if I have the opportunity to become the president of that country?! I will ignore PhD certificates from Nigerian universities and go by experiences and skills. I think many Bsc holders can do better jobs than most of you here. That is a big shame though! |
