Family › Re: Are Best Friends Worth It? Mine Abandoned Me In The Streets Of A Foreign Country by OChimex: 5:08am On May 19, 2020 |
slyfox35: Best friends or closest friends as some people term it is quite normal in the life of 80% of world population, I had one too.
We grew up as teens together, matured as adults together, he came to our house always and ate all his meals with us. My mom was really nice to him when she was alive. He wore my clothes and never returned them. I did not ask because my parents always provided for me although they were average citizens.
Then the worst thing in my life happened. I lost both my parents within the space of four years. Things turned downhill for me (orphans do suffer a lot.. Too much suffering for you to believe there is even God in heaven who takes care of the fatherless and motherless).
My friend travelled to an African country. He kept telling me to come over there to work that things are better there. I kept declining but after a year of constant pressure, I decided to man up, packed my bags and travelled to meet him.
Guess what? I did not stay up to 5 days with him!!!
His attitude changed by the second day, he yells at me at every given opportunity, from his best friend, I turned to his boy, the heat he was given me was so bad that when he leaves the house and he comes back, I get scared just by hearing his footsteps. I virtually turned to a nonentity to him. I had no money on me because the little I had left, he collected it when I arrived. I knew no one, I felt so miserable and alone and I started regretting why I left Nigeria.
On the fifth day ,I woke up early in the morning and shook him up. I don’t know what got into me (but I am glad it did), I told him I can’t stay with him anymore and I want to leave. He did not even feel bad about this, he did not think of the fact that I know nothing and nowhere in this country. He let me go.
I packed my bag amid tears and went into the street. Mind you, I had no one to call back in Nigeria... It was tough on me but as a naija guy and as God will have it, I did not spend even a night on the streets. I was shocked that a total stranger took me in, clothed and fed me. He taught me everything he knows. I worked for 6 months and was able to make 2 million Naira. This was like a dream to me (If you get money ehn, to praise God Dey sweet o)
I came back to Nigeria, rented an apartment, furnished it and continued working from here.
This so called best friend of mine saw my posts and pictures on Facebook and video called me to check on me (I guess his eyes did not believe what he was seeing) he asked me if I am in a hotel, I said no, I am in my apartment. He was shocked (me I nor keep any grudge against you) he told me he was coming to Nigeria and that I should please forgive him and forget everything that happened. I told him I can forgive but can’t forget.
What surprised me most are this exact words he said “my guy, if I come, na your house I go relax first abeg”
Now my fellow Nairalanders, I am asking, how should I go about this?
I have forgiven him but should I allow him into my home? I now see why people get into trouble, because of stupidity. Someone treated you the way he did after all you did for him when growing up. and you still never learn your lesson. Second, you never said you invested or want to invest from the two million, all you said was you started living large. be careful, money has wings can fly away anytime. start to invest now so that u don't go back to suffering. You called God out saying and I quote you "Too much suffering for you to believe there is even God in heaven who takes care of the fatherless and motherless" but you never take out time to shower your gratitude to God who blessed you in just a few months, and failed to retract your previous statement. Thats a sign of ingrates. Finally, you didnt mention your kind of work, hope its legit? Run away from such viper as friend, such ones can kill because of jealousy |

fairfora: Lemme educate you a bit and I'd come down to your level instead of using medical jargon ..not every patient needs be on a ventilator except those who are in a critical condition, those who have underlying respiratory illnesses such as asthma. The way covid-19 strikes makes it mandatory for such category of patients to be put on ventilators. Boris Johnson didn't need a ventilator because his condition was stable. In most cases, patients may only need continuous flow if humidified O2 while some wouldn't need any before recovering...your immune system too is a determinant of your quick recovery from covid-19 if you contract one.
In the west, their immune system isn't as strong as ours. Where an average Nigerian could live and survive, an average westerner wouldn't. An oyinbo fit die of malaria after bitten by a mosquito whereas here, make 10 mosquitoes bite us...which is always the case, we are still waxing strong. You cannot compare our body system with theirs over there. Hardly would you eat their food without crossing sugar. They drink beer like pure water...all these do cause health issues amongst them especially when growing old. Many end up being diabetic, hypertensive and with renal issues. If you've been to their hospital and seen many strange cases, you'd be amazed if such illnesses ever existed in africa. Many of us don't go to hospitals. Over there, every family or citizen has a doctor. Our chances of survival here is high, given our climate and what we are exposed to. I stand to be corrected.
On inflation of covid-19 figure, nothing is impossible in Nigeria especially in the north where patients are being discharged in less than 2 weeks of isolation...that's the issue we have been talking about as health workers lately. Maybe they too want to get the kind of funds lagos is getting on covid-19. Don't get me wrong, people are really dying in the north due to covid-19 but they're downplaying it for the reason best known to them. It takes an average of 3 weeks to discharge a covid-19 patient. What's happening up north really calls for a concern. I can't trust mallam for anything because they are the most controversial people or tribe on earth Good that you agreed that the numbers are questionable. Everything you wrote about the white and what happens in the Western world is totally out of ignorant. Pure ignorant please if you hadn't left the shores of Nigeria do not talk about them from what you hearsay. My wife is Caucasian, so I know you are so ignorant..... Mind you, you have more strange diseases/deaths than them, but you choose to ignorantly tag them either mysterious/strange/diabolic/attack/village people. etc. How does this popular statement sound to you "he died after a brief illness"? The brief illness no get name? on beer, they don't rather they take wine more. On immune system, you are ignorant. Get an average Nigerian men 10 check their immune, 8 out of 10 have low immune. no be only rice and garri u dey eat there? who get money buy fruits and vegetables and vitamins and supplements? Finally, studies have found that blacks are more likely to die from covid19 than Caucasians. research this. Did you know that an average white leaves longer than you blacks? my wife's grannies are alive in their 80s and 90s very sound physically and mentally. Una dey go routine medical check up for naija? never but its a routine amongst westerners. no be agbo Una dey drink when sick, how many dey visit hospital, not until the agbo wan kill Una finish. On malaria, you are so ignorant. Do you know that malaria still claims millions in Nigeria yearly? research too. one thing about the body is when it is exposed to new diseases the immune systems is overwhelmed and outclassed faster, but aftet sometimes, the immune will start to withstand he pressure. and thats exactly with whites and malaria. expose them more, they will begin surviving it. All those colonial masters why malaria no wipe them off all those years they lived in nigeria and colonised them? on boris johnson, he got worse and was transfered to ICU where he was put on ventilator for weeks. anyway, back to topic. covid19 in naija is inflated.. na acute malaria most of them be. |

fairfora: you said...They accused people wrongly of the virus and arrest them and force them into isolation center? She obviously was asymptomatic as at the time of testing and she should thank her God her condition was not at the worse stage before being tested...maybe she would have known what's up by now. Covid-19 is real. I know of people who have narrowly survived it. I always work at the isolation centres in Lagos. I think the government needs to show the doubting Nigerians some of our isolation centres in Lagos alone, once in a while on the tv to see the way people are battling for survival.
I was there when one Mrs Dafinone who was having symptoms after she returned from the UK was tested. Hers was a narrow escape and I was happy she shared her experience on channelstv weeks later. The fed govt could make the faces of patients blurry if they like when showing nigerians on tv like they do abroad. The figure is actually much more than what is being announced. Had the testing capacity been expanded, many more would have been detected.
Many have died in their homes unannounced and many are still dying. Kano's death is another proof. Many of their notable people have died. The 70-year old abuja woman who cried out after her son inlaw died in kano due to kovid-19 is another proof. There is no more ignorance once the truth is told...you can only be ingnorant of something you do not know anything about...same way people once said HIV was a scam.
I hope Donald Trump who also doubted the existence and wildness of the virus would win his second term because his ignorance has caused america and the entire world losses of lives. Once america coughs, others shiver. Other countries also relaxed after trump under-estimated the dreaded virus and now, the world is paying for it. Our people also travel to those countries where people died in thousands daily and returned home with the virus unknowingly like aba kyari did and were busy infecting nigerians.
We should be grateful to God because the rate of spread is infinitesimally low in Nigeria and other african countries and this could be as a result of our climate which WHO is yet to accept. WHO actually predicted that by April, millions of Africans would have died of the virus, the fear which caused all the western countries to evacuate their citizens here in April...but we are still here, kicking and people are recovering in large numbers from the virus. You are correct, but read me well. i dont doubt the existence of the virus, but I said, they inflate the figures. Simple. Do you guys have ventilators up to 1k, so which ventilators are serving the so called over 5k? At least out of 5k plus, 2 or 3k should be on ventilators. but hell no. people recover in two weeks here. is that the recovery period in US and other hard hit countries? I want to see pictures of people in ventilators blur their faces. want to see dead bodies going into body bags. crazy dumb country with dumb citizens that don't question their roguish leaders which is why they play them for fools |

You really don't get the point. Your friends might be at the isolation center the same way the girl spent 17 days there. The truth is, this country inflate anything figures to loot. They accused people wrongly of the virus and arrest them and force them into isolation center. Dokpesi said this, now this girl. Nairaland General › Re: Help: I Think I'm Too Soft For A Man That I Am by OChimex: 10:43pm On May 14, 2020 |
evansjeff: Recently I've been very bothered about myself. I'm a guy of around 30 but some things that still worry my heart is really disturbing. I will start like this.
1. Something embarrassing happened some time last year when I travelled home for visit. They bought a goat and was looking for who to kill it, me knowing I'm the most senior man at home jejely went into ghost mode, everyone started looking for me, in the end I had to come out but shamelessly told them I can't kill it. They had to call a 16 year old opposite neighbour to do it while my younger ones helped him hold the goat. I couldn't even stand the sight of seeing the goat struggling for life while receiving knife in the throat. I left there immediately.
2. You might think it's normal for goat until I tell you that I can't kill a chicken or rat, last Christmas, I badly wanted to buy a life chicken because I beleive it's more healthy, but who will kill it? Bae was around, I don't want any embarrassment so I jejely bought frozen chicken . There is a wall gecko strolling around my room for weeks now, but I can't kill it, it becomes embarrassing any time I have a visitor
3. The most recent is, there are two birds trying to build a house in my lobby, I kept destroying the house but they didn't give up, it got to a point, I felt bad for the poor birds, what if they don't have a house? what if I'm the one building a house with all my strength and government keeps destroying it? I had to leave them to build. My neighbour said he killed the birds that tried doing that in his house but me can i do that? No. i just tire.
4. Lastly, When travelling and there's an accident, people rush out to watch but I dare not else the trauma will remain for months, I can't stand the sight of blood and body cuts.
Any time I think about killing an animal, I ask myself, what if I'm the one being held by boko haram or killer herdsmen and about to be slaughtered? How excruciating the pain can be.
Any time I think about crushing a cockroach, I ask myself, what if I'm the one trying to cross the high way and dangote trailer crushes me?
So guys, am I normal? Do I need to see a doctor or a psychologist? No, you aren't normal. You be mumu from birth. Na your kind their wife dey beat... Lol. joking But on a more serious note, are you sure say you no be gay, because na gay dey behave like that... Mr man you better start to man up or else, you might end up becoming a full blown woman inside. T |
Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Physically Assaulted Me Over My Own Money !! Help!! by OChimex: 10:27pm On May 14, 2020 |
ken711: I have been dating a girl for about 18 months now. Very pretty but my brothers, let me tell you... Look before you leap when it comes to pretty girls.
From the minute I met this girl it has been one money request after another. If it was small sums I guess I wouldn't really mind, as I have always worked for blue chip companies and can afford it. The thing is, her requests are always very big!.....20k this, 20K that.....but my brothers, I have to tell you the one that has made me even disappointed in myself.
She lives with her parents and they are the most dysfunctional family I have ever heard of... Everyday one person is fighting the other, and this my girlfriend, as fine as she is, is the most arrogant, prideful, violent & rude person I have ever met. She hounded me everyday that I must get her an apartment of her own, so she can escape her home, and I agreed to but by saving monthly.
Would you believe, one night, when she was working at a bar as an usher for guinness, she gave her number to 2 different men just because of this apartment. My spirit kept telling me that she gave her number out, but she kept lying...only for me to catch her texting one of the men when we were at church of all places.......
She even went as far as going to meet this rich man at a hotel, but the man ran away when she made that request, and I as a fool decided to finally do it for her. (I suspect she cheated on me that night and I always tell it to her face because she has cheated on me twice before)
I live on the Island and tried to get her to rent here as well, as I really want to keep an eye on her..... She has too many guys around her who live in that area and she is this kind of person who cheats out of revenge, even over small things.....this girl refused and threatened to break things off!....bro, as a mumu I sent the money to her to rent the place and for other things, about 400K.....
Ever since that money left my account, it's like my eyes cleared!!! I couldn't believe that instead of saving my hard earned money, I went and sent it to a girl that has cheated on me twice (or even more), lied to me, slapped me and done so many things.....but I just decided to leave everything for God, seeing as she was desperate.
The problem now is that the demands for that apartment is now becoming too much!!! The expenses just to get the place finished are such a burden on my financial and mental state...
The worst happened about two days ago, she wanted me to pay 20k. Infact I just got so tired of bills that I kinda was stalling on it, but what happened next truly shocked me. Would you believe this girl started punching me, slapping me and even tore my shirt cos of 20k. She even threatened to break my office laptop (working from home) until I sent the money, after that she left........
Now she is trying to apologize so that I will pay for bed and gas and the remaining things....my brothers, I know u will say am a fool!...I accept...I am a handsome guy, studied abroad, I just don't know why loneliness made me fall in love with such a sadistic user... My only problem is, do I pay for the bed and just finish what I started or just free the whole thing and the nearly 500K I have already spent...
Please help! Your problem started when you left abroad (Europe/America), left all oyinbo girls wey they there, then your village people come drag you come back Nigeria... Don't you know say everything for Nigeria na trouble? |

HappyPagan: So, bro, how would you investigate poverty? Has anyone you known been arrested for being poverty? Who commits this crime called poverty? In a sane clime, poverty is a crime against humanity which is why they hate to see their citizens poor, hence making all efforts to eradicate poverty. You investigate poverty by fighting corruption, since stealing by government officials makes both the country and its citizen poor. Anyone with humanity in him detest poverty and hate to see people being poor. Its horrible that you and your government don't see poverty as something worst than crime which why you have so many poor people and nobody cares to lift them out of poverty. If your govt invest energy investigating why so much Nigerians are poor and fight it like they fight other civil crimes, I bet you nobody will be poor in Nigeria. I am not defending emoney, but I want to put you right that poverty is a crime, in fact it pushes people into crime. countries that have more rich citizens have less crime rate, investigate this. |

And if I may ask, how did you know her boobs and ass sizes before buying her underwears? You sound confused.
