Chamboor: The southwest senators supported the bill yet my Igbo brothers will still insult us, the SE senators voted against the Lagos special status bill but supported the Northeast development commission bill, who is fooling who?? S.E senators should step up their game ,stay clear from politics of east vs west but rather unite to form an alliance in the hallow chamber.. They did not,the bill was amended to add two more state, what they are saying is that lagos should not be only state in Nigeria that will have a special status, the adding of Kano and Anambra to the special status state is the best. You people will not gain anything if lagos continue to be the only big city in Nigeria. |

EmeritusMbaM: Shameless hypocrite. Why would i hate you when you are the one trooping to my land, go read the thread of the Lagos bill, you and your kinsmen were rejoicing and insulting the Yorubas. Una never see anything, what do you need the bill for since you said your region is the most developed that you even develop other regions. You even said you dont need the federal government, so why the tears? Hypocrite Nobody is against it,they are saying that two or three more state should be giving the special status in Nigeria. Why is it that you people want everything in Nigeria to revolve around lagos, does that make sense to you people, other countries are developing big cities in their country but in Nigeria it is only lagos. South Africa have 6 standard ports and 4 standard international airports that covers the entire country. Pretoria,Durban,Cape Town,Johannesburg, etc, why is it that you people dont want Nigeria to develop. |

deedeedee1: Now i want to ask you a question. Would you have supported it if the bill included the whole south west? The North have North ecological fund,North East development commission,Niger delta have NNDC, the SW and SE can come up with their own development commission. The special status for lagos is good, but adding Kano and Anambra to it is the best and development will spread. Other countries have many big cities, Nigeria cant keep on having only one state of exit and import activities. |

takenadoh: I think it is a shame, trying to get the FG to allocate money so we can further share what the Niger Delta is producing , they will tell u the Niger Delta has a development commission, this is becos they are bloody feeding the entire country even the so called FIRS and Customs monies are greatly tied to Oil gotten from the Niger Delta, if you were to ask them to fund this so called commission by their states in the region contributing solely for the purpose or IGR then they will refuse. The north have;North Ecological fund,North East development commission, so other region apart from North can have that also |

What will you gain from lagos been only single state to be granted a special status ,the bill was modified and two state was added to it. |

Those who can't see before their nose end up biting their fingers. What will you gain from lagos been only single state to be granted a special status , they have North development commission,NDDC,SE and SW can have their development commission also. You people in Nigeria dont want that country to move forward, there is nothing wrong in making Lagos,Anambra and Kano a special status for development which the house did to Lagos Special Status bill, which is an excellent decision, with that development will spread in Nigeria. Nobody kill the lagos status bill |

senatordave1: What does the ibos need the development commission for when they claim there are as developed as the south Westt? What special mineral resources are they producing that is ravaging their land apart from crude oil and coal? It seems they also want the north west and south west to bring their own bills.if they must create it,let it be from their own share of their igr or federal revenues.let the south east fund it and cater for it like the ailing northern nigeria development commission.the only thing the east suffers from is erosion menace and the ecological funds is providing for that.again, the landmass of the south eaztern states is very small which means that they csn easily develop their region faster than even the south west.the various town unions are doing a good job in providing basic infrastructure in ibo land, state govts should support them more.up apc,up buhari You are a bitter soul, at least the world is seeing the heart of men that Igbos are sharing the same country with. |

The bill stands opposed! Nobody gang up against the Bill, the bill was modified to add to add three states in it, you people dont want other regions of Nigeria to develop except lagos,if people flock in it,you people will start shouting again. |

You people are very greedy, because another two state was added to lagos special status bill, you people become very angry, what did SW gain in lagos been the only developed state in Nigeria. In South Africa they have so many developed cities. |

tinsel: Igbos can never thrive in the politics of hatred and always feeling marginalized every time things did not go our way. Politics is all about accord and concessions. The other time the yorubas came out with a special bill for development of Lagos. Igbos in the house were in the forefront of people that killed that bill. How do they want same people to support them this time. When this bill for Lagos state was killed they took it and did not cry marginalization. Now, we are crying. We will continue to lose as far as continue to play bad politics. One thing out people in the south east have failed to realize is that PDP is using politics to destroy the south east. Suddenly people like Fayose, Fani Kayode and that one omokri all have became champions of Igbo cause. Nobody threw away the lagos bill, stop lying, three state in Nigeria where added to it which better and will spread development in Nigeria, if other people flock to lagos now,you people will start shouting that they should go back to their regions, you people want everything to be going to lagos and non to other regions. Fani Kayode, fayose,Reno are usual yoruba talkatives, they are champining any Igbo cause but for their personal interest, IpoB Biafra movement is doing so as clearly demostrated in may 30th sit at home. |

You ibo should get prepeared. Once you get your biafra, you are all leaving Nigeria Where did I bank on the north,so northerners are not doing businesses in Biafra land or Nigeria wont need Biafra market,is it only Biafra that will need Nigeria then why not them have the Biafra, then you will understand what I am talking about. |

APCsupporter: nop you are very wrong about that. first, there are thousands of Igbos here in the north who come here, buy those stuffs and take them back to the east. they are the ones that will suffer. if you think the average Hausa man will want to have relationship with you after all that you have done then you are very wrong. just like the way they easily give up their lives for minor things, they will not hesitate to leave those businesses especially when they will have less competition with the igbos. yes. if you go to any market here in Kaduna you will find thousands of Igbo traders. on the other hand, your "retaliation" will only affect those gatemen(who are mostly nigerriens), suya sellers, shoe shiners and nail cutters . stop deceiving yourself bros. if not for the oil this biafra thing will be .very great for everyone. I admit that here in the North we don't have a very high number of graduates and those who are graduates always have to compete with the igbos for jobs. imagine if all of them are sent back. how will you even find jobs for the millions of igbos that would be forced to forfeit their jobs, Businesses and properties and kicked back to their Biafra? they will most likely turn to crime. this thing is beyond calling Nigeria a zoo and assuming That biafra will be an instant paradise All of us will count our loses,it is not a one way thing as I said earlier |

9icest: Arrant rubbish and stark contrast to the topic discussed. Yorubas are currently on alignment with the North simply because the Ibo's turned GeJ government as a tool of political punishment against us. Who protested for GEJ while he was been pocketed by Tuari Yaradua? A Yoruba Pastor by the name Tunde Bakare and a professor called Wole Soyinka. The Yoruba's had nothing against GEJ, the ex president simply betrayed our trust, as Obasanjo and Tinubu did more campaigning for him than any Ibo leaders. The Ibo's were quiet and like a coward watched from distance until their so called son became the president. And then they did everything within their power to malign the Yoruba's and turned GeJ against us. Now this same people are shouting marganalization, the same medicine you pleasurably metted to the SW for a whole six years under your son GEJ. This was your voting pattern in 2011, you divided your vote as usual and sit on the fence to know who will win between GEJ and Tunibu candidate Ribadu.Yoruba didnt do anything for GEJ, you sat on the fence,Igbos made GEJ the president of Nigeria with the help of North central and never the SW.

A man who spent a third of his life in prison is also a Yoruba deemed coward by the same set of people who can't point to one leader who had died for their cause. Fawenhimi through series of incarceration got his regressed cancer into profession thereby dying a broken, sad yet respected man by every single tribes in Nigeria. Ordinarily, one shouldn't speak Tiv and EXPECT someone who bears Omenka to understand, just the same way one can't speak Igede and expect someone who bears Tersoo to understand.
But lucky me, I do understand Tiv and speak it fluently, but I bet the idiot wouldn't understand my own language. By the way, understanding Tiv is not a proof of Benue indigenship. The same way understanding Wawa isn't proof one is from Enugu. The guy's post smacks of crass ignorance. You may not be from Benue state from all indications, you are not sympathetic to Benue people even if it is not your tribe that is been massacred in Benue on daily basis by fulanis, you are more on the side of Fulanis than Benue people. |

I love this thread, i was laughing when someone said they will dialogue with the zoo in sharing assets etc lol. I thought Nnamdi kanu said he will burn down the zoo.
All the same you guys should do quick and go, all those agberos boys that you normally abuse here, are waiting to take over your shops in brown roofs Ibadan You SW guys are naturally lazy, hoping on someone property to become somebody, the northerners will surprise you guys because they also have huge businesses in Biafra and supply agricultural stable food to Biafra, which they will not like to loose. Biafrans will not be the only looser if such scenario of confiscating people property play out in Nigeria,Biafra will retaliate with their own economic sanctions against Nigeria, the north will not allow that to play out. When a Southerner is at the helm of affairs, terrorists in the North will start throwing bombs, when a Northerner is in charge, Southerners will start bursting pipes or crying for their country. But the people, I mean ordinary Nigerian are foolish. They do not see the dialectical game being played on them by politicians because they think they have their OWN politicians. Shame on us all.
