ezenaija: The belief out there is that the Igbos are dumb in politics..easy to use and when being used, the boast about being the one in charge. The last election proved this hypothesis correct because the South South seem to have moved on leaving the short end of the political stick to Ndigbo after using them in the Jonathan election.
"Ndi ofeke anaghi ama mgbe ekere nku ukwa" you sound dumb, trust is true test of friendship, not betrayal,if not for Igbo support for Jonathan, mama peace would have been in prison today including GEJ |

TooNoisy: Igbos need to understand that the Yorubas have been and will be in the forefront of the actualisation of any dreams the Igbos may have.
I am glad that the comrade acknowledged that Fayose did what no other Igbo Governor would do. I am not a fan of Fayose, but the man has shown more courage than any other Igbo Governor. PDP today is supposed to be a SE/SS party. Yet today, the two most vocal members of the opposition are Wike and Fayose. No SE governor has been as vocal as these two. The SE governors are all busy trying to decamp to APC. Most of them have been rejected by the same APC they abuse daily. When will the Igbos truly stand on their own. Soludo and Chidoka recently came out to support Nnamdi Kanu for political reasons and we can see through that.
2010, when Yar'adua's kitchen cabinet was treating Jonathan like a puppy, it was the Yoruba Save the Nation Group, led by Wole Soyinka and Tunde Bakare that went to Aso Rock and demanded that Jonathan be made president. The South South fought their war and people like Wole Soyinka and Tunde Bakare supported them. When will the Igbos truly agitate for anything. The sad truth is that the Igbo can never play opposition politics. Their leaders are too greedy for that and the followers are too stupid to form a true opposition.
Now Nnamdi Kanu is agitating for Biafra and the first two names to be mentioned are Fayose and Fani-Kayode? Igbo ronu o. Igbo reflect on your agenda. Keep quiet, what have yoruba fought for in Nigeria except backing people and can back out at any time, when will they lead and others to back them ,Igbos are more courageous The real freedom are fought by masses not by the elite which do so for political and popularity purposes,Biafran youths are the most courageous, Yoruba want restructuring, how many time have their masses and elite come out to fight for it using demonstrations and strong verbal attactks to achieve as IPOB is doing for Biafra restoration. |

SirShymexx: In as much as disrespecting the man's crown is uncalled for...do some of you know the history of Lagos, the crown, and the people from Lagos? How can you even claim the place is "no man's land", yet be oblivious to the history of the place? I blame the Nigerian educational system that keeps churning out functional illiterates like you and your ilk.
In case you don't know: the Oba of Lagos isn't a proper high ranking traditional Yoruba king. He's more of a political king that grew in status, due to Nigeria and how relevant Lagos is, in the country. However, that doesn't negate the irrelevance of the crown amongst Yorubas. Even within Lagos - he's not the supreme king (he's more of Duke of his small domain). Evidently, no Lagosian who understands Yoruba history is going to DEFEND an inconsequential king who's brazen enough to be caught up in the Nigerian created hype, to disrespect his superior. And NO, Lagosians aren't migrants - they just have functional brain cells (unlike you) and they understand Yoruba history/culture/tradition.
The Oba of Eko is alone by himself in a sunken place. He needs to apologise and stay humble. Everybody in Lagos is a migrant, the original inhabitants of lagos are Eguns that migrated from Benin repulic. The white men sand fill most part of lagos and develop it.Aworis migrated later and settled, Ijaws also settled at watersides in lagos. The Binis later colonize lagos and gave the name Eko and hand it over to british. |

ObikeNkem: Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose and Femi Fani Kayode, both Yoruba men, were in court today in support of Nnamdi Kanu's bail Whereas our own Igbo leaders were no where to be found.
This reminds me of the civil war. Wole Soyinka, a Yoruba man, spent twenty two month in jail just because of his support for the biafran cause, while ojukwu and other members of the biafra high command were busy hiding in under ground bunkers.
Even Nnamdi Azikiwe, the man who composed the biafran national anthem, eventually ran away from biafra to support the Nigerian government against his own Igbo people. Nnamdi Azikiwe composed the national anthem of a country he had no faith in, yet Wole Soyinka, a Yoruba man was suffering and languishing in jail because of his support for biafra.
Well as an Igbo man, I can categorically say that Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose is greater than all Igbo men both dead and alive. Stop putting mouth on Igbo people matter, stop pretending to be an Igbo person.Igbos leaders have been visiting him in prison and a lot of traditional rulers had been coming for his trials. Your Yoruba people what have they stood for in Nigeria, always talking from both side of their mouth,is that support. |

[s][/s]It irritates and baffles me to see a scumbag with nothing upstairs except empty skull and his Kinsmen from the same wailing and erosion-ravaged region making all effort to change our national history so as to feel good about their repulsive past in our national history. Anyway, i am here to burst your bubbles by making sure that you and your fellow cunts are well fed with historical facts.
It's a shame to see Igbos being allowed by other Southerners to talk when it comes to Nigeria history... Why? 80% of our problems in Nigeria today was caused by your forefathers who lacked wisdom to see beyond their noses.
Shortly after independence, these saboteurs called Igbos went behind Southerners and formed political alliance with Hausas/Fulanis political Party and the result was what led to Tafawa Balewa and Nnamdi Azikiwe led government. At that point in time, Yorubas were left with nothing but regional governance.
Igbo coup of Jan 1966 was what followed. The coup was well planned and carried out by 98% Igbo officers. Ironically, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Okpara who were very active in the coalition government escaped untouched but opposition party which was Yoruba party was brutally dealt with. These leaders from the Nortn and West were brutally murdered in the presence of their families.
And what was Igbos' reactions in Kano and other parts of the country after this massacre? Joy. Total jubilation! These fools-your progenitors went to the streets and started celebrating this bloody massacre.
The next thing your selfish progenitors did after that horrible massacre was to destroy our flourishing regional system of government through their Igbo son called Aguiyi Ironsi who became the president after the coup. Despite all the pleas from the North and the West, he literally refused and went ahead and forced unitary system of government on us so as to control other regions. He was successfully overthrown and killed by Northern military officers in retaliation of the killing of Northern leaders.
Stupidly, Yorubas didn't retaliate and that remain a mystery to me till date.
Why are we blaming the North now instead of these greedy bastards? Hausa/Fulanis were cool with regional system of government until Igbos destroyed it and Northerners saw the opportunity and capitalised on it.
Shortly after all the above dramas, Ojukwu decided to take his dumb followers out of the country and expected Yorubas who are smarter to commit the same stupid suicide you all committed. Millions of your progenitors died as a result of that silly decision of Ojukwu.
Finally, after the civil war, guess who went ahead and formed another coalition government with heir masters again? Igbos. They formed another alliance with Hausa/Fulsnis political party which led to Shagari/Alex Ekwueme government. Who missed out again? Yorubas.
Igbos betrayed the rest of the South till early 80s. Yorubas only realised what Igbos were doing against the interest of Yorubas in early 80s and we decided to change the way we play our political games[s][/s] Always lying to fit your Afonja ego. Which tribe wage the first failed coup in Nigeria,is it not yorubas. Kaduna Nzeogwu that led the coup with a Yoruba is more a northerner and from Delta state, the people that you people use to tell us that they are not Igbos, when it soot you,you will refer to them as Igbos. Gowon introduced the unitary system and abolished regional government and created 12 states. Stop deceiving yourself with this your useless lying rant all the time. |

TheStronghold: I've always thought that the threat of a break up should be used to bring able true federalism.
And honestly, Yorubas would be the best off of it were to break. We already have our news industry with channelstv, Saharareporters, and many more. We already dominate film and music, and we have 75% of Nigeria's foreign direct investment in Ogun. Not to talk of the free trade zone, eko Atlantic development, and many more going on in Lagos. We would lose the size of Nigeria but would be on our way to become become the Switzerland of Africa with the 3rd largest economy in Africa with arguably the smallest country size. So to my yoruba people, don't vex. If you like, break up, if you like don't break up. We will prosper regardless. Yet you people are the one crying day and night for one Nigeria, calling for the heads of ipobs. Are you sure that Yoruba have all this resources because the way they cry cry is too much and epic, like people that wount survive without ipobs. |
