If APC had not execute any project, then why are you wailing on a thread about the work starting on New Ibadan - Railway project?. You must be PDP sycophant.
PDP=APC, emancipate yourself from been politicians ass licker, what I am saying is that the rail project should cover the all the region in Nigeria.
APC is not the initiator of new Ibadan railway project, there was a railway that passes through Ibadan before,Gej resuscitated dead railway transportation in Nigeria and APC picked up from where he stopped.

We all know the difference. While stealing was not corruption under your hero, now stealing is a crime. Despite the huge sums of money that accrued to the FG under your hero, with next to nothing to show for it, now we are discussing project execution.
Your hero did not pay contractors since 2011 despite all the money that accrued to the Govt due to high oil prices. Now a serious Govt is executing projects. You see the difference?
You are just an APC sycophant, stop all this your rant, APC have not executed and completed any project

Obingo, take am easy. Stop lying to yourself. The Abuja - Kaduna rail was started before GEJ and he did some cosmetics work but not enough. While China had release their own counterpart funding for the project, your hero was foot dragging, and stealing money for the projects for years. The issue is that your hero looted all the money for projects and you continue to hail him. It is about time you deny your support for your hero having finally realize that he is a failure.
Universityhuh Another cosmetic project good for the optics but of no value. He established new universities while the existing ones were poorly funded. What is that?
Let us even assume that he did all that, can you compare what he did with all the money that FG made from $140 per barrel crude?
Common, quit this your pretense and face reality for once.

Here is another link to other projects completed by your hero..

You are still lying... Kontinue.
If GEJ has built all this in all regions including the one built in your region and the 2nd and 3rd Niger bridge, plus all the roads, you should not be seen complaining just 20 months after your hero left office. Don't you realize that two opposing group of people can never be victim of lies? If the person being lied to is ignorant of the lie being told, the person doing the lying will surely know that he or she is telling lies.

PoliticsRe: South-East & South-South Summit Holds In Owerri Today by Odingo1: 5:48am On Apr 19, 2017
fratermathy:
I don't really care about this summit because it is not the first and won't be the last. So far, nothing has been done. South-South minorities like us never fail to realise that the Nigerian nation recognises only THREE ETHNIC GROUPS (IGBO, YORUBA, HAUSA)! The rest of us are like pawns and the nearest neighbour, being the Igbo, never fail to use us to their advantage, with sinister motives or not. I don't want to go into the politics of this forceful SS/SE union but I want to make some facts clear here as an Urhobo/Isoko, a Deltan and a SSner.

1. Obaino860 declared on this thread that SS is 90% Igbo and that all SS groups, including IJAW, speak Igbo and bear Igbo names. That is a blatant lie. It is lies like this that make us mistrust the Igbo motive in our affairs. In the SS, ONLY Delta North (Anioma) and Rivers (except Ijaw, Andoni and Ogoni) have connections with Igbo in any way. These people do not even make up to 20% of the entire SS region so where then have Obaino860 gotten this fact from? Urhobos/Isokos speak their own mutually intelligible languages that ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO IGBO EVEN REMOTELY, Ijaws speak numerous mutually unintelligible languages that ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO IGBO, Ogonis speak their own mutually unintelligible languages that ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO IGBO, the Ibibiod ethnic cluster speak their own mutually intelligible languages that ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO IGBO, Ekoi/Bette-Bendi/Ejagham and other Cross Riverian groups speak mutually unintelligible languages that ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO IGBO, even some so-called Delta/Rivers Igboid groups, like Ukwuani, CLAIM to have their own languages!
On the issue of onomastics, the aforementioned groups, exceptions maintained, have no names that are similar to Igbo names. If there are any of such, it is pure happenstance and they definitely mean different things. Even culturally, the SS non-Igboid groups HAVE NOTHING in common with Igbo. This status quo is maintained politically and otherwise.

2. The SS/SE have every right to meet and talk about their future, just as the SS has same rights to do so with the SW, from whence many of the Edo/Delta groups politically evolved from. There is NOTHING special about this meeting. It is simply a political move engineered mostly by the SE, hence the Owerri location. The SS groups have different struggles from the SE. Although some of our struggles (such as true federalism) may overlap, we ultimately have different problems and aspirations. No matter how much we look at it, Igbo remains a MAJORITY ethnic group in Nigeria and thus, directly or indirectly, its people have joined the rest of the country to loot the SS region of its natural resources.

3. TippyTop, and many others, opined that the SS (especially the former Mid-Western Region) look up to the SE! This is another provocative lie to massage the Igbo ego. The former Mid-Western region comprises modern day Delta and Edo States and the people of these states, save for the 30% Anioma people in Delta and 1%(?) Ika in Edo, are IN NO WAY related to the SE politically, culturally or otherwise. In fact, I can assertively state that the South West and the North hold more influence in the SS (especially Edo/Delta States) than the SE does. This is especially true of our migratory patterns. Urhobos, for instance, NEVER migrate to the SE except something IMPORTANT takes them there. This contrasts greatly with the SW, where we have settled in large numbers. Same applies for Isoko, our sister tribe, and the pan-Edo groups. In fact, it is Igbos that settle in our areas.

4. The SE should start by getting its acts right and putting its house in order before extending whatever hands of friendship they want to. It also behoves the SSners to define THEIR FUTURE BY THEMSELVES!!! No group/region was appointed as our mouthpiece. In fact, no pan-SS group CAN EVER speak for the individual groups in the SS region. Each to his own tent. The only thing that binds us all together is the geopolitical term "South-South"! Consequently, the said summit that this thread informs us of is simply the device of a FEW people who have their own intents. As an Urhobo, I only pay allegiance to Urhobo Progress Union (UPU). Any other socio-political or economic group that claims to speak on behalf of my group is simply delusional!

5. On the issue of Biafra, which someone brought up, almost all the ethnic groups in the SS, including Urhobo (UPU), have made their stand clear on this. There is no need beating around the bush. Biafra is an IGBO ONLY affair and I support it wholeheartedly. Take your Igboid groups if they want but never extend your reach beyond your borders to drag actively or passively uninterested groups into it without proper consultations with the designated mouthpieces of these groups.

Finally, I stand for unity at all times. Nigeria, as a nation, needs unity. If this means that we have to extend hands of friendships to our closest neighbours, then we should. However, we must draw the line between unity and hegemony. When larger groups attempt to hegemonise smaller groups, caution must be applied. In Nigeria, political interest is all that matters. As it is now, the SS and SE have different political interests. Any act of unity is done simply by virtue of the NIGERIAN CAMARADERIE SPIRIT!!!!, NOTHING ELSE!!! So all those cogitating deeply on the said summit should stop reading meanings to things that are not there.

Semper Fi!!!

***If you quote me to spew bigoted bunkum, I will use your own medicine against you.
At least you are speaking on behalf of Urhobo,Ijaw say they want to join Biafra, when the time come your people should join the Northerners and Saw since you are more related to them.no be by force.

Igbos are just nothing but pathetic liars and crying babies.

I have always maintain d fact that Igbos deserve everything they got before the civil war, after the civil war and what they might get in the future. Evil people! Extremely tribalistic!

These bunch of greedy humans destroyed our flourishing regional system of government through their son called Aguiyi Ironsi despite all pleas from other regional leaders. Interestingly, the only people in Nigeria that kept mute about this repulsive development then were Igbos.

After the coup, the Ibos went to the streets of Kano and other parts of Nigeria to celebrate the death of Northern and Western leaders. How on earth did you expect these people to feel? Good i presumed. The question that remained unanswered till date is "Did Igbos expect other tribes to keep quiet and walk away without fighting back after the bloody massacre?"

Igbos wanted to control other regions of Nigeria at all cost and decided to destroy our regional government which later backfired on them. So Igbos should be quiet when others are talking about Nigeria state cos they don't have any moral ground to make any meaningful contribution

Let's take a look at this, how would Yorubas justify the killing of Buhari, Saraki, Ekweremadu, Dogara,Geoffrey Onyeama, Chris Ngige, Atiku, Ogbononnaya Onu, Generals from d North and the East when all the western politicians and generals from the West who are active cabinet members-Kemi Adeosun, Osinbajo, Tinubu, Fashola escaped d massacre...
This your argument is old lies and you know that...

Lagos state government built two bridges huh what an ill talk the flyover bridges in lagos mainland alone is higher than those in abuja, and all other 35 state combine (no exaguration). You can't compare lagos as the country's capital to lagos of 2day. Even abuja the FG hub can't outrun lagos.
The only brigde so far the lagos state government build is new Ikoyi bridge, the second one is not yet completed, I am not talking of fly over short bridge, when you go to lagos island you will see 3rd mainland bridge and other network of bridges that make lagos island thick, all is built by FG and colonial masters.

Do you really think that the Northern-dominatated Nigeran government are only interested in developing Lagos and the other Southwest states alone?

Akwa-Ibom state receives the Largest federal allocation, and Uyo during '11-'15, was arguably the fastest developing city in the country, right now its rate of development is 'not so fast'.
Enugu might not receive lots of cash from the FG but Chime did wonders.

Ambode might be corrupt, but he is doing very well, especially on the mainland. Good governance from the state level is the most important factor in infrastructural development.
The north is comfortable of Lagos been the economic capital of Nigeria and like to maintain the statue quo because they are just interested in stealing the oil money, lagos state government is trying but the government there inherited an already built state with 100% federal presence and support, since 1999 lagos state government built only two bridges, the rest is built by FG and colonial masters, they are just beautifying lagos, lagos state government is not the one that built lagos.

FG is the failure, so don't attribute Lagos achievement with FG, talking about the port. Lagos port has been booming right from aeons of years majorly for slave trade even before the British arrival not to talk about the existence of Nigeria, Lagos port is far older than Nigeria itself. It very easy to upgrade and then a popular port which will make trades even faster this was why Lagos port was given attention, as for the other port like port harcourt seaport and the others. FG built those port from trash, and even so the government there seems not to be lucrative enough to make utility of port for trade and bring in investors. Just watch even the Lekki seaport under construction by Lagos government will be more functional than those existing port in Nigeria coast outside Lagos. If not for Lagos government the so called Lagos port will be as ph of Warri port. And about those international airport, only Ikeja the city developed solely by Lagos government has the infrastructure to hold such airport. Even the Abuja airport environs is not fit to hold expatriates yet as that region is still undergoing lots of construction work. If wike widened those roads leading to port harcourt airport, clear the shanties around ikwerre. And garranty some measure of security. Then the federal government can come into play, This are what Lagos government is doing. And how has FG make Lagos the economic capital of Nigeriahuh Is it by situating CBN in Abuja, locating World Trade Center in Abuja, making sure every new bank firms situates it's HQ in Abuja. Lagos is economic capital of Nigeria because of the collective efforts of Lagos government.
That is the problem of your people in Nigeria,is only lagos that have the capacity and infrastructure to hold a standard international airport.
As I said before,Nigeria is not a true country and dont want other parts to develop, that is why South Africa and other African countries is developing ahead of Nigeria because Nigerian is a country deeply rooted in tribalism, nepotism and self deceit.

In good countries like South Africa, if you live in Cape town, you dont need to go to Durban to clear your goods or travel out of South Africa from almost a single point causing traffic congestion and multiple accidents.

Why will FG not standardize Enugu international airport, port harcourt international airport, kano international airport, calabar port or ph port or Ibaka sea part, onitsha inland port and benue inland ports.
Everything in Nigeria is based in lagos and some of you are beating your chest because Nigeria is not a true country.

Many of these children with no history lesson have come up again to relate Lagos development to the Nigeria factor. Lagos state name disagrees with such notion. The Brazilian Yoruba returnees change the face of Lagos From 1840s,1850s upward etc . Even before Nigeria ever think of existing, the families like JOAQUIM, VERA CRUZ, SOARES, TREZISES, PEREIRA, PINEIRHO, MARTINEZ, MARINHO, DA ROCHA etc made it happen for Yoruba land. No wonder that some people will be perpetually be playing the Second Fiddle To Yoruba.

Bros, this excuse is getting stale. The southeast is the richest in oil, yet they are still the most under developed. So stop with the stale excuse. Good leadership and governance leads to development. And there's no doubt that Lagos has had the best governors for the past 20+ years. Ogun state leads Nigeria with 75% of the country's foreign direct investment (abi you want to use capital excuse for this one too?). Yorubas dominate the film industry, the music industry, and the news media. These are just facts.

I am not attacking any other tribe in Nigeria, I am just proud of what my people are doing, as every tribe in Nigeria should be. If you are uncomfortable with that then too bad. But don't try to use excuses for our achievements because you feel uncomfortable with Yoruba success.
There nothing like Yoruba success here or been uncomfortable, Lagos was built by FG with Nigeria collective wealth and that is the fact.
If other state in Nigeria is build by FG with Niger delta oil money, that state will surely look like Lagos or Abuja.
FG make Lagos it economic capital after moving Nigeria capital from Lagos.
-Lagos receive high allocation from Nigeria.
-Bank headquarters, oil companies, airline, sea port,Embassies and what makes a country is all located in Lagos by FG.
All this is the source of economic development in Lagos and cause of migration towards Lagos.
