Ebonyi people don't contribute anything to Anambra state except poverty, agboro and armed robbery. By the way, what's the meaning of "Abacha" ? That must be from the animal jungle. Your father represented everything evil in this country, a stigma and sad comment on his family. Your father made himself a tin god, killing other people's fathers and mothers at will but the living God showed His hatred for your father my smiting him in a useless way - dieing in the arms of a prostitute. Part of his stigma on your family and the seat was to be the first to die in power. He was the first head of state whose dead was a cause for jubilation across the nation. You should forever hide your heads in shame if you had any iota of shame and dignity. The daughter of a terrible man of evil. Igbos should stay back in the east not minding any perceived plot of the FG against the region.
Your destiny is in your hands. Stop trooping to other parts of the country in search of the Golden Fleece.
Prove your acclaimed development mettle. And you are planning to run away from Nigeria, many Yorubas that live in Igboland or north should go back to Southwest also and all the Yorubas living abroad should come back to their enclave. Igbo prosperity in lagos is what is making yorubas envious of Igbos, having Biafra will not make Igbos to stop living in lagos or other Yoruba land. There are Yorubas living in other peoples land all over the world. |

That's why i and many discerning mind believe the war was unnecessary especially when their leader that promised them that "even the grass of biafra will rise up and fight on their behalf" but he did not wait for the biafran grass to rise up before fleeing with his family to safety.
You ibos should be grateful you surrendered to the ilk of OBJ, had it been someone like Katsina or abacha etc........many of you ingrates will not be around now to pour scorn on your "water"- the yorubas. You think that it was Nigeria that handled the surrender, it was done by UK, they negotiated no victor no vanguish. If not for the British and Russia, on normal ground could Nigeria win Biafra in that war. Shouting 3 millions souls like mad man, 3 millions little children that was starve to death by Awolowo.

resurgent2019: Odingo and the rest igbos here, if you are waiting for other tribes to suddenly "like" igbos and on account of that, dash you the Presidency, you are on a long thing. Because most other Nigerians dont just like you and they are justified for not liking igbos. So many reasons i wont bother going into.
Igbos should quickly do two things:
1} Develop igbo land aggressively, and 2} Inhabit Igboland—your brightest and best should stay in the east.
Failure to do these will ensure that other Nigerians will continue to view igbos with scorn and derision.
Igbo problem is very easy to solve but they prefer crying that others hate them.
And if all these fail, prepare "adequately" for war. They cant develop their land without regional autonomy otherwise it will be sabotaged, they have tried that and it was sabotaged by the Hauas-fulani and Yoruba gang up. Enugu international airport is not operational because of this gang up, they shut Enugu airport down from Abuja recently. |

And going by your response, it seems you do not want armed struggle right? So, what then happens if the country is not restructured? To me, armed struggle doesn't make sense if one see what is happening in Syria, Yemen and others. If Southern Nigeria and middle belt can team up,they can get it done but lack of unity is the problem. |
Politics › Re: Who Is Afraid Of Igbo? by Odingo1: 2:46pm On Jun 14, 2018 |
resurgent2019: I am with you on this—ditto for millions of yorubas. And i believe we would get this through diplomacy, failing which the south will have no other option but to engage in armed struggle.
Pending that time however, we must eschew hate and see how we can maintain the peace. I have always been an advocate for what i call "structured aggression". It means that you must plan adequately before going to war. You dont just rush into war without planning it well. The igbos made a mistake going into the biafra war without adequate preparations. This is where the yorubas diverge with the igbos: We wont fight a war with the north without planning and deploying "active measures" that covers a multi-pronged approach to warfare.
You can call it cowardice, but we call it sophistication.
Igbos should just calm down and plan properly. I see them as the least prepared for armed struggle among the major tribes. I think that the war issue is has gone now, this is almost 50 years after the war, that generation has passed, if Nigeria is a serious nation they should have integrated all part of Nigeria. Germans of today use to say that they should not be held responsible of what their forefathers did in the second world war, in the likewise Igbos of today should not be continuously be reminded of the civil war that happened 50 years ago.Restructuring is the key that will ensure that Southern Nigeria reap from the fruit of their labor, brewing companies cant be producing alcohol in lagos while their bottles and crates are being destroyed in some state in the north, after the same state that is destroying their business will come and open hand and collect the tax money paid by them. |

In all this, Igbos are just trying to re-enter Nigeria politics after years of battered image. This connection are just shallow, the real deep bond are between Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas because they always forget their differences in fighting the Igbos despite been in opposition parties. |

resurgent2019: So, what do you think is the solution to all the perceived wrongs against the igbo?
Nigerians are listening.... The best thing is to restructure the country and allow Igbos to develop their region at-least if they cannot get anything from FG, let them have power to build functional airport and seaport and manage their region, I believe the hate will disappear. If an Igbo man want to fly out of the country let him to go to Enugu or PH and also clear his or her goods at the nearby Onitsha river port or Calabar or Onne rivers, that is how they do it in South Africa and it attract development in all their region. |

T9ksy: I guess you are about to tell us how the Yorubas aligned with the Hausa-Fulani in the first republic to spite the ibos.
In the second republic after the war which saw 3million ibos been led to Golgotha by their boastful cantankerous warlord, which section of the country aligned with the same Hausa-fulanis?
Of course, the middle belt region must be populated with m.o.r.ons who can't see, read nor hear hence it was easy to poison their minds against the ibos. They must have been blind, deaf and dumb when you ibos invaded and occupied their ancestral land under the pretext that you want out of the new nation.
According to you, "The middle belt are been slaughtered all because the yorubas don't give a damn about them as long as they are able to feed off their master's table", however the ibos that were concerned with the plight of the middle belt region were the same ones inundating all social media with the words "Karma is a bitch; serves them right for fighting against the ibos during the civil war".
Igbos are the only ones who gloats whenever the hausa-Fulanis unleashed their murderous act on the middle belt people.
3 million Igbos that died in that war are mainly small children, all because of Awolowo policy to starve little children to death by getting Cameroon to block bakkasi and he later committed suicide by drinking poison after been trampled upon by the Fulani people he served. Man to Man fight, the combined British and Russia backed Middle belt,Hausa-Fulani,Yoruba army couldnt defeat the Igbo men for 2 and half solid years until Awolowo started food blockade by getting a deal with France for Cameroon to block their front line, today Cameroon have seize Bakassi because of the job they did for Nigeria so that they can win the way. Yoruba use their lagos-Ibadan expressway media to blackmail the Igbos. The middle belt fought the war for the Hausa-Fulanis despite the fact that Igbos are christians like them, they were brain washed by Hausa-Fulanis and Yorubas and even other tribes in Niger Delta. Imagine the state of dilapidation in the most Niger Delta area and yet they believe that Igbos want their oil despite living with Igbos as their neighbors for centuries without any war with each other all because Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba propaganda. |

They should shun nepotism and all their effort of dividing the nation, and being independent on their own should be aborted. A nation divided against itself cannot stand. Take a look on Nigeria and tell me why the country should remain one. A country that have only one viable seaport and one viable international airport all because they don't want SE to develop or have easy access. Go to South Africa and see what we call country that want develop every part . South Africa have 6 standard international airport and 7 standard seaport. You cant live in Cape town and be going all the way to Johannesburg or Durban just to leave the country or clear your goods. somebody that live in Pretoria cannot be mocking somebody that live in Durban that they don't have railway because their federal government can never build railway in their region or do any good thing in their place and you expect them to be happy.. |

ComradeWonder: Igbo have the constitutional right to contest any office as far as Nigeria is concern. No one can deny them that. The writer of this piece is well acquainted with the historical genesis of what transpire to lack of trust, ethnic jingoism and religion bigotry the Nigeria geographical location. Igbo people are hardworking people with steadfastness and capability to achieve. Their greatness cannot be doubt by anymore, but with due respect to them, i think Yoruba and Hausa deserve unquantified respect as well. If Igbo want to produce president, they would have to imbibe the spirit of inclusiveness and sportsmanship encapsulated in love, trust and unity. Not when the two tribe continue trapping upon the Igbos, for almost 52 years now they have continue stampeding on Igbos. GEJ did not do well in the office because of Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani just because GEJ put some few Igbos in key positions. GEJ renamed UNILAG with Abiola name all hail was losed but Imagine if Buhari renamed the same university with Abiola name, they will gather and celebrate it and give thanks to Buhari. |

Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani are the ones afraid of Igbos. The more they team up together to isolate the Igbos the more Nigeria become a stagnant country with new militia springing up like Boko haram. They poison the mind of middle belt and other tribes in Niger Delta against the Igbos.
Today middle belt are been wiped out from the surface of the earth because Yoruba don't care if the Fulani wipe them out as far as they are picking their crumbs from their masters table.
Igbos are concerned but cannot act because the middle belt also hate Igbos. |
