In today's glorified secondary schools called Universities. What are the courses for admission studies .All you hear of are __ Department of Business Administration, Department of Political Science, Economics, Social Studies, Law, Psychology, Arts and Culture, Philosophy, Journalism, MEN and Women affairs, so on and so on with little or nothing to hear of Department of Science and Technology , Engineering, Medical studies and the resultant effects are what we are seeing today on mass unemployment of our so called graduates from the GLORIFIED SECONDARY schools.
Gone are the days; recall during the era of our great world recognised MATHEMATICIAN, Professor Chike Obi in the early 70s he said University admissions should be 70% Science and Technology and 30 % social sciences such admissions was ongoing for quite a long time then when we use to have Industrial factories � sending their Industrial products to Science Departments
of then Universities for further researches and development of their products and heavy monies are sent in for such researches and development. So then, not much was being requested from the government for University services.
But today reverse is the case as admissions into the glorified secondary schools called Universities admissions are opposite it has become 80 _ 85% in Arts and social sciences and 20_ 15% intakes in Science and technology.
In Nigeria because there are no Scientific research and development, we get everything imported from fly covered meat to Television.
So glorified secondary schools leaders when the head is off it will be too late to cry again.

Recall the British Colonial started the construction of KAINJI HYDRO POWER Station in 1955 proposed to be 12 Units at 100Mw per unit ie 1200Mw but after the handing over to the 1st Republic not much attention was given to the completion of the HYDRO STATION by the government in power but by 1969 by Gowon Military administration he said has completed the HYDRO STATION with just 4 Units at 80Mw per unit =which was just 320 Mw instead of the 1200Mw as proposed by the Ontario HYDRO. and by 1975 one of the units has collapsed bringing the HYDRO STATION back to 240 Mw.
Also where were you during the Babangida military Administration when he said government Authority will not spend money on NEPA again because they produce and sell like the National TV Station NTA and N B C National Broadcasting Corporation and this brought about the NEPA Strike of 1995 or 1996 Recalled the 11 JAILED NEPA MEN ( Nigerian Newspapers publications) when Babangida said they should killed for Treasons before they were eventually sentenced to 10 years jail each by the Kano HIGH COURT but were eventually released by Abacha Military administration but quite a number of them died back home after their release.
