It is our Christian DUTY to educate others, Martin Luther could have simply kept quiet over the sale of indulgence instead of writing 93 thesis to buttress his point. FREEWILL giving is expected of Christians not a 10% tithe or tax on members, No one is cursed for not paying a percentage of their income to a Church. Coolsegun: Malachi was addressed to the LEVITES, are you or your Pastor from the house of Levi? You guys need to take a moment and study the WORD for your self and come back with another take. |
Tosinaded must have a different Bible than most people or have an interpretation so different that we might benefit by listening to what dude has to say. It is one thing to correct a wrong and it is another thing to regurgitate the same old doctrines that has nothing to do with a Christian but your "MOG" Paul was wrong to "rebuke" Peter right based on your logic? Tithe is not Biblical and those that chose to pay can continue but be rest assured that God has no interest in your money but your SOUL, the greatest good you can do for God is what you do to others Christians or not. Name a Nigerian "MOG" you can compare to Daniel or Elijah, with the explosion in the number of Churches in Nigeria, why does it seem the country is going backward morally as opposed to going forward? Jesus Christ said when you give, your right hand is not supposed to know what your left hand is doing, giving is not for SHOW ![]() |
^^^Tithe as preached for Christians is a SCAM and when you employ tactics to try to "shame" folks into this unholy crowd pleasing antics. You need to "read and assimilate the Bible" to discover this scam or else, you will just roll with the herd instead of "working on our own Salvation with fear and trembling" |
nuclearboy, I am not assuming him to be anything because I have not been to that place in Ota and only wrote what I wrote based on the images provided. One can see the "influences" in the design. Support for the state of Israel is a POLITICAL decision not a Christian one, There are those who have tried to make it a Christian movement ( Ecumenical movement) but our FAITH does not hang on a political support for a political entity. The devil remains the god of this world and we have to be careful as Christians not to accept anything because "higher ups" have done so. You are cool my man. |
nuclearboy, Judaism is a religion not a race of people, Christianity is not about the Jewish culture is is about our Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins. Have you seen any Jew who accepts Christ? Not many out there right? |
Their new style stood out because I just started noticing it, we see things for the first time and think it's a one and done occurrence but when it is announced as basically a "directive from the GO" one can only wonder. Folks have got to wake up\ to the fact that one can't buy God's love. Shalom. |
Any wonders why Nigeria can't move forward ![]() @OP: Let's assume you visited a few circle of folks who didn't give you the time of day maybe because they got your schedule too late, is that an offense? We need to learn to respect other people's choices and preferences instead of trying to impose our self/own preferences and choices on others. It was Mamman Vatsa who said " a lean freedom is better than a fat slavery" back in the day when Nigeria was still good talk less of now, I don't have any problem with those I know in Nigeria that visit often but I do insist on proper notification so I can make time for "baby sitting" ![]() I prefer Hotels when I visit the cities in Nigeria because I want to run the AC and not worry about "gen" polluting the air and okada/car honking at all times, but we still love the country because no matter the level we attain anywhere, we are still tied to Nigeria even if we don't want to be. "Can't we all just get along, " ![]() |
Arsenal lover, you're way behind the 8 ball on this one, I already asked and was informed it was a "directive" from "HQ". I just wanted to find out if other "parishes" are doing this. I don't pay "tithe" as you know it and no amount of "show" will change my mind on that unless God directs me to start giving that way. I can say I have had reasons to give a day's salary to a "stranger" in the past and don't need to show it in fron of any congregation to make it worth my while. Stick to what you know dude. ![]() |
I am wondering if anyone has seen RCCG's new way of collecting tithes: Those who are tithing on any Sunday now are called to the alter and receive separate "blessings and prayers" before the general "offerings" are taken. It begs the question if this is another way to "shame" folks into ponying up the dough because they might not want to be seen sitting all the time during these calls, does anyone find this Biblical? ![]() |
fyneguy:LOL, in the spirit of the World cup soccer tournament about to kick off, remember that a DEFENDER has to study the "OFFENSE" very well to be able to plan proper defenses but maybe you stopped playing recreational soccer or never did. If you don't educate your self about the other side, you will fall for their charms or games. MLK put is best ", Those who don't stand for something will fall for anything, " ![]() |
I can only say back to school for those who can't see the obvious symbols from the images posted by nuclearboy and others before him. There are folks who will tell you there is nothing to worry about the denver airport symbols and stuff but one has to KNOW that these things don't happen by accident, these are DELIBERATE and serve (or will serve a purpose). As Christians, we should be very careful and watchful for the things we think are there to "glorify" him actually does the opposite, trust no one but God only. ## Don't get me wrong, I don't know anything about Oyedipo's church but I have seen a "few" stuff about his 'mentor' KC and we are often judged by the company we keep if I must add. ![]() |
Sleekymag: Take a GE tour of the whole campus and report back dude, these designs/signs have become almost unnoticeable due to their heavy use everywhere we look. I don't want to scare you but they are everywhere not only in Nigeria but the World over yet many are not aware of their true meanings. |
WOW, You guys need to lay off biomes2001, things are not always the way we think they are, there are mysteries that only those in the know can figure out. While these two photos might not portray him as one of "those guys", the design of his Church clearly points the other way: |
I am going to have to AGREE with Pilgrim.1 here "The LAW was made for man not man for the law" "Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there", you can worship God any day and anywhere, Jesus Christ came to remove the "bondage" associated with the law and set us free. How can you then want to return to that same "bondage" you were freed from by him shedding his HOLY blood? Saturday="Saturn" day right? I like to view/see everyday as Christmas and not one day of the year, the only celebration Jesus ever took part in was the PASSOVER and the last one he had before being crucified for our sakes, |
Pastor Joagbaje, I don't know much about your man "Pastor Chris" to know his "affiliations" but we are sometimes judged by the company we keep , right? The Bible CLEARLY pointed out that the devil was the "prince of this World" so the Eagle on the Nigerian coat of arms and the design may well hold hidden meaning to those in the "KNOW" Take Currency for example, I have seen lots of different currencies and each one (Including the Naira) has a simple or text that majority of that population can't interpret, coincidence? I think NOT. Leave a squabbles aside and concentrate on HOLINESS folks for without it, no one can SEE GOD. May God help us all. |
petres_007, Hidden in plain sight is an ART FORM, some of us might have one time or the other made gestures we saw others make but had no idea what hidden meaning it had, there are lots of that going on these days. Those in "high" positions certainly know what they are doing, don't defend what you don't know or can even comprehend, as monkey talk, "i can vouch for the child I am carrying in front of me but not the one on my back cause I can't see what he is up to" " Be wise as serpents and gentle as doves" ![]() |
When folks who can't control themselves with some "stuff" get in "positions" to make "law", they tend to gravitate towards their own desires, "if I can't enjoy it, no one should" mentality! Soda and the like will kill someone way before beer if two people were to consume them at the same quantity through a certain period. Soda and most of the so called "juices" are worse than beer in case you still don't know. A little drink every now and then is good for you, if you can't CONTROL your drinking then by no means should you even try a sip. Matthew 15:11 (King James Version) 11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. |
babaearly, you don start again ooooo, kilo she bobo ye papa! I thought the Ishans own Benin, no mind me ooo upper lawani/sakponba and all ![]() Benin and Ishan, who do juju pass? esoro fun wa! |
This thread reminds me of a quote ascribed to a big name rocker ", I am spiritual and not religious, Religion is for those who are scared of going to hell when they die, I've been to hell and back, " Jesus Christ said " where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there" he didn't say Thousands or millions, "Many are called, few are chosen, " Some folks go to a particular Church/sect just like others go to a particular country club or what have you, social/class identification so we can't condemn those who worship in small groups for we know not how effective they are at what they do and how they do them, some maybe more comfortable in those settings and actually learn as opposed to a big gathering where it might take Months to get a question in or get an explanation. God made each and everyone of us UNIQUE for a reason, those with twins in the family can attest to the fact that even when they're so identical, they still do things/act differently. The Bible told us that "each of us will have to work out his/her Salvation with fear and trembling" , it won't matter who you fellowshiped with on that great day, (Fellowship is an IMPORTANT requirement of our Christian faith) HOLINESS (without which no one can see God) is way more important than who you "roll" with ![]() |
^^ That's a classic piece right there, good job nuclearboy. I find it hard to believe these CEC/Love World inc. folks don't know what they are doing for the most part. Don't forget Kunle exposed Pastor Joagbaje as Goodluck's local CEC branch Pastor here on NL but he refused to accept he was the same guy mentioned in the article. Not even the birthday greetings to 'Pastor Chris' where he showed the same email address could sway him otherwise. I have learnt a lot on NL, not all that glitters is gold and not all that claim Christ even know him. |
Joagbaje:Pastor Joagbaje, No one is above mistakes especially when it comes to typing, it does seem like a calculated (intended) mistake as one of your fellow CEC folks already made the same "mistake" that was pointed out. same with the capital C and lower case c mistake on both right? We strive to be like Christ but we are not Christ as he can't be replicated. |
Joagbaje:Pastor joagbaje, tonye-tithe is around somewhere to assist you because nuclearboy is taking you to the cleaners man. Remember that God will not share his glory so don't give any MAN what is God's because our God is a jealous God. I am tempted to call Jo names but I won't get low, this is not about who is right, it is about what is right and of God. Performing "miracles" don't mean they are of God we must remember, Every waking moment is a miracle I believe. We always seem to forget Satan was dismissed along with a 3rd of the Angels and don't be surprised they get front row seats on Sundays in most of these so called Churches. |
nuclearboy:I understand your point nuclearboy, I do have a study group that meet informally any chance we get even via teleconference sometimes. We can't "forsake the gathering of Saints" so as not to our growth in Christ Jesus. It is also our Christian DUTY to educate those in "spiritual bondage" self or "MOG" induced! |
^^^ Kunle took the words right out of my mouth, I still fellowship with a local RCCG branch close to home though I don't share some of their beliefs anymore. I do believe a "Church" doesn't make the Christian, the Christian is the one that makes the "Church" and the Temple is the Christian. Some of the American Churches are even worse when it comes to these worship of "MOGs", most of the Nigerian Pastors took the page from their US counterparts ![]() One don't have to buy fully into what they're selling (tithe, seed sowing, etc) knowing who we really SERVE is paramount and practicing the kind of AGAPE love Christ preached and LIVED. |
^^GBAM, nothing more to add ![]() |
^^^ Ganjaseed, Pastor Joagbaje already stated on this thread that the Pope couldn't afford a private jet hence he doesn't own one, now you see the kind of information he has access to for him to draw such conclusions. He might need some EDUCATION for him to understand Church WEALTH vs the HUMILITY, AUSTERITY lifestyle required of Christians. |
kalabi:I am interested in the Bible verse to support this " administrative doctrine" of yours Matthew 15:7-9 (King James Version) 7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. |

). This can only be achieved by technology. That is why everybody love Pastor Chris. And he is a great giver. Listen to his messages.
