Concerning Akingbola's resignation from the pastorate of RCCG I think he should be commended. He didn't want to get the church mixed up with his ordeal. If he sinned, then he sinned alone without the church and if he is innocent it won't be said that the church pressed buttons for their member. I'm not a member of RCCG and don't plan to become one, but I see a lot of good in what he did.

As Christians, we are REQUIRED to server GOD only and not man no matter what title he goes by. In these parts, when someone "falls" even in the circular world, even the charities return his contributions because they want no part of that man/woman but not in Nigeria where everyone becomes a lawyer all of a sudden.

God loves a cheerful giver. the tithing mentioned in the bible is not said to be every month. so the tithing of today is not completely based on the bible. its just a way for some churches to get regular income. the best thing for me and from what i see in the bible is to give as much as you can at all times so long so you have it.

You find it even in the local Church where an ambitious Pastor fills the " finance" committee with folks who are basically yes men and then turns around and tell you "nothing is done by me alone, the finance committee came up with the idea", accept it dude, it is pure BUSINESS the way they run it now.
