Hi, Re the bold, i also just want to ask what my chances of receiving visa are but please read below: -I want to go as a visitor (friends) I used form VAF1A for visitors, what may i ask my friends whom am visiting to put in that letter - thanks. -I used to be a student (stayed for 8 years (completed my Ba Honours and Msc) -I was asked to leave the country cause they refused to grant me (after my studies) a skilled migrants visa. so i took 8 months before leaving. Its been 2 years since i last went to UK. now i want to go visit and get my valuables like books etc (although in truth i want to go and assess viabilities of returning. -I intend to tell them the truth, and include all documentation from Home office re request for "immediate leave" -Also, i lost my job in July. But have proof of income from sponsors from then to now. My job wasnt great paying but it put food on the table. Is it better to include mothers bank stats or my own still. and just say i do temporal agency employment and last finnished in July ![]() I know this is a lot but thanks. Ps. also, must you buy a ticket before applying? |
thnx taking the time |
Hi, I am looking for a song by Jahdiel, not sure how you spell her name but she is a Christian, Fashion forward lady and her song sort of goes: "This now my culture, this now my heritage, this now my tradition, I will follow the gospel wellu wellu in love no dey die. I will carry Jesus O I will carry am O" Please holla if you know it Thanks. |
Good morning Landers, Whats the best way to return to UK if one lived there already as a student for almost 8 years and finnished their studies there. i cant use the post study visa because i have been out for more than a year since graduated. getting an employer who will apply for you from that side seems a nightmare going back to study is too much money unless i study some silly short coarse and then take it from there what other options may be there all replies appreciated |
wow thanks. i feel like i spend forever on nairaland and yet on 350 something plus posts. oh well, its all good. |
Ok, thats sounds much much better. things look rosy indeed. i guess am glad you stuck it thru, i just dont want you going through worse. take care. |
you have to at least have the power to make him wear a condom. poster above - she did what she could to invite him in before the supermarket even took off, each time he rejected. i dont think he is feeling emasculated, if they feel that way, they still will keep other areas stable. this man is reacting on every level. emotionally, mentally, physically, sexually, family wise (daughter and all) to me she sounds submissive enuff after following her posts, i think the guys got the problems. |
Who would you pick? (Say its a perfect world, and you are both single and available) I would go for Davidylan, or Reindeer, maybe Debosky these guys are smart, your turns |
this is just out of interest but when looking at other people's posts they are like 28 850, or 16 000 or 37 800 and then you ask yourself what do these people do for a living man? do they sit on nairaland all day? dont they have jobs, wives, homes to go back to? i am not talking about people who are not well. just curious as to how someone can have 40 000 posts |
Sleekman your advice is bad Ok must she get another STD and they then both land up dead? what use is that clever people are not saying divorce but seperation - UNTIL HE GROWS UP the dude has 10 women for goodness sake, its not a marriage struggling were by he has one other woman - 10! you probably cheated on your wife tons of times and are expecting this one to lay low forever too. so stop using your poisonous medicine on other cases. "sleek" man indeed ![]() |
And PLEASE. buy that book by Suzie Orman called - WOMEN AND MONEY it is literally a financial goldmine. I am telling you it will help you climb out of debt, save, do a will, choose if to marry in or out of community of property - all that. |
You are a good lady. And your heart is pure (ofcourse you are not perfect) - but i can sense your heart. Some people on this site said things like maybe you made him feel threatened by your success and crap like that. It doesnt work that way. A relationship CAN survive a successful spouse - it just takes maturity. And i know they go through phases, and men change and stuff, but there is a limit. Its not fair for you to carry all this weight. You are honest to yourself - i can tell, but take time to really think. And think hard. this is a battle you were created to face - its a test you must pass. whether you stay married or not - you can come out of this properly. your daughter doesnt need this. you can see. sometimes they say seperation cause maybe your husband needs time alone to grow up. you certainly dont need him to put you or your daughter through that. get some time, clear your head and hers, and counsell her. |
was he (the pastor) paid to save the union? how do you even do that? with all the evident buggage. pre marriage counselling is meant to find out if peeps are compatible. if yes -good, if not yey - you will save someone a lifetime of misery. |
I am sorry you found out all this buggage about him before you had to commit to him (maybe it was a wake up call). but you still went ahead. you allowed him to beg you into giving in. listen one of you was gonna suffer, he was if you left him, or you if you went ahead. but now look. its you. are you still gonna keep suffering in the hope that mysteriously it will all work out, wake up and stop dreaming and save the rest of your life. I wont advocate divorce (its not my place) but seperation yes. maybe then he will fight for you (to come back to crap )YOU have to hear God for yourself. no one can. and follow that voice. I hate to say it but your on your own. its your choice whather the rest of your life is good or bad. but it really really can be good - you must fight this. |
the pastor said from what he can see, I will regret for the rest of my life if I should marry him. you made your bed, - lie in it . |
I am sorry. I sort of beg to differ. just watching that channel, its too good to be made up - the accuracy of those prophecies, i just dont know. |
Some serious research needs to be conducted as to why by far the majority of girls and ladies like this family of colours. Pink and Purple (pastels) |
There are two camps: Camp stay married Camp head for the hills How about reaching heaven and God asking you what you did with your destiny and your reply: I gave it up for my marriage ![]() We all have only 1 life. and you can be happy |
ya thats good |
It depends what debt. If its credit cards etc. 1. Inform all your creditors that you are making a plan to pay them, when and how much. 2. Then you start paying off your lowest debt - complete that one and move to the next and so forth. Ofcourse dont commit to pay all your debt too much, as long as you have an agreement - the excess amounts should go into building your emergency and other funds (developed personal assets are more important) - so just pay off minimum / agreed and the savings should be invested. |
You know you are watching a Nigerian Film when half the film is crashingly loud commercials and for it only to end 30 minutes later with a "to be continued in Part 2" |
1,2 I am not giving credit to white people by saying they have done some work, But call a spade a spade. Fact is South Africa has been developed A LOT by the white man. Whether it was for thier own greed is not what am discussing here. My point is, why does a white man have to be present for there to be order? Have the Shanti towns not always been there And they still are. Who stopped the black man from expanding himself in those shanti towns. If a white man can arrive in a place with only the clothes on his back, but 5 years later when you come back to that spot there its industrialised Our problem is not lack of resources, we are lacking somewhere in the mind. Eat that. It take guts to stare this ugly truth in the mirror. but we cant grow until we embrace the pain. Maybe SA yes, also has black people who are trying nower days post aparthied and yadi yada. But in the past, the engineering of infrustructures, the medical leaps SA has made over the past decades, Its wine and beautiful vineyards, - black man worked but white man thought dont shoot the messenger, we need to learn something from these people. |
peopo please stop. you are all interested, i bet all of you have logged onto the given website so please |
I know what she means though, its not hate but even Beyonce said it herself that she was gonna get oscars, grammys, be top this top that, "I want it all" its no mystery that she is popping it out of every hole |

The black foot has 6 toes or am i counting wrong? |
SALAMSM Alot of ignorance and envy characterized by rancor on this forum. South Africa is appealing because their people care about their country and strive to make it great. Something Nigerians seemingly lack. These pictures should inspire us to do better and not settle for average and sub standard infrastructures. However, we have the habit of hating things that are always better, rather than appreciating beauty. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We must learn to seperate issues. What RSA is trying to show is the beauty of this country. if you wanna start a forum on the xenophobia, i am sure some are already on this site. what salam said is word. when white people come to africa they always take crap pics of the continent. fact is a lot more than is given credit of southern africa is VERY VERY WELL taken care of. in my years in the western world, some of the places there could never rival southern africa. maybe we should all just try and make our countries to look good, to take excellent care of them. why do countries have to have white administration for them to look this good? where there are black people majority there is always failure. i am not dissing us, i just think we have too many resources to be lagging back economically or otherwise. sometimes our greatest enemy is the fact that we cant construct our criticism to our own good. and therefore we fail. what these pics are doing for us is showing us we all can rise up as africa. now i dont excuse what SA did, in the Xeno attacks, in fact - i was quite hurt. i was really hurt that a country that people cried about in aparthied, that in Nigeria back in the day, you were not an artist if you didnt sing about the ills of apparthied, and then come this. my heart was so hurt to see my people, mozambicans, zimbabweans, you name it, being burned by their own brethren. that is something i will never get past, and even how the SA gov took their time (in my opinion) in dealing with these attacks. i was so hurt. and now those same SA people, the poor black ones are angry that other people are just looking for bread and butter in a land the white man advanced (cause really its the whites who keep doing this stuff) - it was just too buffling. but lets seperate matters, this thread is about the beauty of Africa, SA in this case. and what can we do as a united people to make us more beautiful (landscape wise) than the west? Big Hugs my peopo. Madam |
Dolemite, You are too smart. thats bang on what i was looking for. thanks again. |
THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW LANGUAGES WELL, ITS NOT MEANT TO BE SOME DEBATE SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO ASK You know how every word has a root, or origin for instance moderate - is related to or rooted from "modus" or manner of doing something, oversee, control, "modus operendi" greek etc. The name God how did it come? I know He is good and that may also have to do with it (God - good) but in the english language or whatever language - how did it come about? Where did it come from? |
