Hov63: hello house to God be all da glory.I had my interview in Ghana on da 22nd Jan and was successful. Arrived at embassy at about 6am and had to wait till 1pm for ma interview since it was moved frm 7am to 1pm. Experience will follow 2mrrw since I lost ma fon and hardly go to cafe. Tnx to everyone ESP taatus and adzovia. God bless y'all. Da Lord is good indeed.

Gentiger: For anyone going for interview anytime soon, please read this and follow suit. I witnessed about 6 DV visa denials yesterday. The black Angel denied 2 different DV applicants and the white Angel denied as twice as much. I listened to the line of questioning to discover what they seek to establish before they approve DV lottery win.

Some other countries don't get the kind of academic scrutiny we get for the following reasons:

1. They are academically sound and their schools are ranked high globally.
2. Academic fraud is impossible in these countries unlike our beloved country where even a serving senator or governor is using 'Toronto' certificate. You get what I mean.

DV lottery is meant for two reasons:

1. Cultural and ethnic diversity in the US.
2. Injection of best brains to boost economic growth in the US.

The reason for the academic drilling is to ensure the person coming into the US will be economically relevant and viable. They need innovation and productivity not liabilities or lay about. Before your number is called by the CO for interview, I observed some staff behind the counters crutinizing each file. They make recommendations and draw up possible questions to ask which is placed inside your file for the CO. The CO is merely asking predetermined questions drawn up by experienced minds. They know what answers they seek. You must perform credibly well to merit a visa.

Now when you appear before the CO, they want to see how well and confidently you can express yourself. If you cannot sell Your self credibly well, you can't sell the American ideals. If you can't exhibit matured reasoming, you would be considered a liability.

The few DV selectees who were denied yesterday could not make confident statements without annoying grammatical blunders. Most don't answer the questions asked. They choose answers which are unrelated to the questions posed. Please avoid this. Some contradict what they filled in the form. I saw a lady denied because the CO accused her of lying on oath. Another was denied because he couldn't list atleast 3 topics in mathematics. Another couldn't defend his O'levels. Please tell me of what benefit these categories of people would be to the US economy?

Now here is my advice, prepare well. Please prepare very well. Polish up your English a bit more. Read your best subjects. Now let me tell you something else I discovered. You are the one who determines the course they ask you questions from. I heard CO's ask each applicant their best course at school. I was asked. I told her contract law . I chose contract Law because I lectured junior students for free while I was a student. It was my favorite. If you wake me up by 2am, I can cite over 50 law cases on contract with their facts and decisions. This was why I could lecture the CO and her mouth was agape. I don't mean to boast, but I don't think anyone ever addressed that lady the way I did. She was speechless. I held her spellbound. You can do the same.

Choose your best subject. Begin to read. Please read hard. Pick up your dictionaries and learn new words. Dont allow the skin colour of a white person intimidate you. Don't allow her phonetics subdue your self confidence. Rise above the board. You can do it my brothers and sisters because I did it. Go and face the CO. Come back here and testify.

Lastly, I met a young guy who probably couldn't be above 25 yrs with a girl of probably 20 who he claims is his wife. They were denied. The CO didn't even look at their pictures. It was the black angel by the way that denied them. They know the average age Nigerians marry. They knew they were players.

If you married after your eDV application but before the results were released, you got no problems. If you married after the results were released, you got a big mountain to climb. Your chances are slim but not impossible. With God, nothing shall be impossible. Wearing uniform as a couple is not the key. Cuddling while waiting for your number to be called only shows your hidden guilt. Your best bet is to maintain your single status after you've won if you are still very young in age. That's my personal opinion. Your chances are so slim if you marry. Goodluck to all interview hopefuls. Goodluck my dearest friends on Nairaland. Guys lets shout haleluya to his name. I had my interview dis morning, its interesting because dis forum has been soo much of help to me ive read thru peoples interview and prepared enough for dis but i was surprised after payin my visa fee to d cashier and waited for about 40mins i was called to window 6 where a white gentle man interviewed me but u wouldnt believe dis he didnt ask me any question, all he said was come dis date for ur visa and i answered thank u.

i ve learnt sumtin today guys if u knw u meet d requirement jst prove it with d needed documents don't go with soo many documents because it sumtimes pop soo many question.Thanx to God n every1

She denyed so many ppl and devil wanted to used her against me and my wife but GOD WAS MORE DAN THE DEVIL AND OUR VISA WAS FINALLY APPROVED. IMCOOL AND WIFEY, WELCOME TO AMERICA(TEXAS)... To those who are waitn for their date of interview, e.g, Gentiger, I pray that the good Lord will go before u, that as you have found favour in the site of God, so shall u find favour before the CO be it whyt or black, which ever window she sits be it 13, 14, 15, 16, 99. We shall all rejoice and be glad in ur testimony.
To those who are through wit their interview but are yet to leave the country e.g chirpwest, I pray for journey mercy and safe trip. The land u go shall be fertile, u shall be favoured in all ur endeavors. That u will nt look for job rather jobs will be knocking @ ur door.

ienny: This is my story... myself,wifey and daughter applied for dv 2013 on the 1st of nov.2011. We had our daughter jan.2011 and my wife was again 8 months pregnant at the time we applied. The boy eventually came around dec.2011 which boils down to the fact that we had 2 babies in a single callender year. To the glory of God we got to know we won mid month of may 2012. We included the boy in the form we sent to KCC not minding whether or not we will be schrewed by CO to defend that the boy is actually ours as he was not included in the initial application or that the CO might find it a little difficult to believe that we actaully had 2 kids in a single calender year.Our interview was schedule for 7a.m jan 4.We did all the security checks, paid for 4 of us and all our documents were collected. Trust me i follow this thread on per second basis, so all our docs were intact and well arranged. Meanwhile my kids were playing all about in the hall such that they were noticed by all fellow 'interviewees' . We expected to be interviewed like around 10a.m cos so many people were ahead of us only for us to see our tag number flashing on window 13(the black american angel).The white lady had been engaging a woman with 2kids before we realised we the next to be interviewed.We quickly jumped up went straight to the black angel, at that time i knew is a done deal already based on the testimonies i have heard about her.My confidence was over doubled and i felt so relief as she engaged us on the below

I sincerely appreciate all the contributions and efforts of all in this forum to actualising this great dream.May the good God approves all waiting for their interviews, those that are current but yet to receive their 2nl and to all those waiting to be current. This journey requires a whole lot of patience ooo and prayers. I also really really enjoy most of the comic relief i get from some of the wonderful people in this forum, they actually helped me a lot to ease the stress of waiting and tension. Please stop dropping number of any police offer here, whoever want to get police report should visit police station and get it done.

loconzo00: If KCC tells you that you are scheduled for next month, this could be true if you submitted you forms early enough ,for their answer may have been based on your confirmation number.
However if you submitted early, i believe your 2NL might still be available anytime from now minding the Xmas holiday's out of office hours on the part of KCC.
Its much better if you wait and obtain your 2NL before you go for your medicals. If you do your medicals too early since you do not have your 2NL yet, this could count against you at your POE if your interview or departure date is more than 3 months after your medicals. Your medicals i understand expires after 3 months particularly if you haven't taken a follow-up Herp. B/A vaccine. I stand to be corrected.

emybaby2: Hurray, i've been given my visa today, am so happy. I woke up early and arrived the place and we were checked in by 6:30am. Passed through the security check and got in. We did the documentation i.e gave my original and photocopied documents. I forgot to include 2 photocopied marriage certificate rather it was one and they wrote it down in my form that one certificate is out. That was the only error i made though i was nervous. Then we waited again. When it was time for the interview, window 16 who is a white lady was so tough with so much drilling of people with questions. The first couple for DV there were rejected by her. Up to 5 people went and she either refer them for the next day or told them that they have failed. A particular woman with a family of 5 children and her husband were denied their DV visa. What i come to know is that if you can't answer or defend your education and also know dates of birth, time you went to school etc, then there will be problems. The woman in window 13 was so nice and was handing down visas like water only denied one man. Who wasn't a DV applicant.
After praying that i should not pass through the white woman, believing God for window 13 when i was called to window 16(the white woman.)
