We know the people who are sleeping under the bridges in Ojuelegba, motor parks in mushin, oshodi etc. We also know the people who own the biggest number of property in lekki, festac/amuwo odofin etc. You can do the maths yourself. Even for your people who live under a supposed roof, we know how they live at mushin, isale-eko etc. Your problem is envy that Igbos have taken over almost everything in Lagos while your type continue to die of hate and envy.

I'm sure that your Landlord is an Igbo and all you live on is provided by Igbos. Is your life not pathetic? Very soon, your children will come and work for Igbo employers because 80% of the informal sector is controlled by Igbos. After the announcement of the presidential election results, a lot of Igbos were deflated, and where not interested in voting on April 11th, but this funny man has unwittingly provided the Igbos with the perfect catalyst to come out even more than they did, to teach this so-called 'Oba' a lesson that he and his generations will not forget for a very long time. If PDP had won, would he have been making this silly comments about a man that put in everything to counter the APC lies and propaganda. The elections have come and gone, this is not the time to come and be pointing fingers at people who were the shining armour in the PDP arsenal against the forces of lies and propaganda. If fingers must be pointed, they should be pointed majorly on the northern PDP caucus who betrayed GEJ despite all he had done for the north. What baffles me is the confidence with which you divulge half-baked ideologies and reasons behind GEJs selection. It is on record that Odili was the touted name but Obasanjo, on receiving Nuhu Ribadu's EFCC analysis, decided to renege and seek another unassuming Niger Deltan. It had absolutely nothing to do with the militants and the sooner you come to terms with that, the better for you.

President Yar Adua signed the amnesty deal in 2009, yet the militancy festered till 2012 and someone is here telling us about chimerical crippling effects the so-called militants had on the economy. As though, Obasanjo was saving stones and not dollars in the FR.

FYI, Obasanjo's stop-gap military approach was not as a result of the pipelines for goodness' sake. It was because of the foreign nationals that were usually taken as hostages during reprisals. It just made sense for the military to tread cautiously. Did the Militants have any effect on the economy? Sure they did. But it is not as pronounced as you would have us believe, so get the full message.

Lastly, and most risible of all, save that 'I-don't-want-to-give-you-a-breakdown' bla bla. My sister works with the DPR. If I wanted figures, I'd get it from her. If you cannot see that with 700k bpd and oil at 40-50$ Obasanjo was able to do more than your man with your supposed 2.3M bpd and 50-115$ (from 2011-2014, 2014-2015) and yet devoid of militants, then keep Stevie wondering through life. Very soon, you'd concede that it is the willpower of the leader that gets things done and not the actions or inactions of misled miscreants A.K.A militants.
The key points here was that the number 2 position was zoned to the niger delta as part of the moves to calm down the militancy, and GEJ got it. The kidnapping of the oil workers apart from increasing the cost of oil production, also forced a lot of the IOCs to declare force majeur. Despite whatever savings you claimed OBJ was making, the fact remains that over 1million bpd was knocked of our oil production, you can confirm that from your sister. You can also ask your sister to confirm to you what is presently happening to the Yoho field, operated by ExxonMobil. People like you who leave in self denial are always the worst hit in times of crisis. The earlier the incoming government starts putting together a strategy to implement the confab report, the better for everyone.
The military option is what the militants are itching for, because it would raise the stakes beyond just resource control. The incoming government would just be playing into their hands. Implementing the confab report is the way to go, else, ruthless sabotage and the eventual collapse of the system would be inevitable. You can continue to dish out incorrect figures inorder to downplay the adverse effect militancy had on the economy, during OBJ's government, but the reality will remain. The only reason why GEJ was hand picked to run as running mate to Yaradua was to appease the militants. Yaradua, came and followed up with amnesty programme. APC has pressed the reset button, so let's see how the other party responds. It is only positive and genuine engagement with these aggrieved region, with the aim of permanently dealing with the issue of resource control, in a fiscal federalism, that can guarantee peace.
The military option was used exhaustively by OBJ, and it failed woefully, because he realized that the thearter of this insurgency was riddled with the oil and gas pipelines, which made it difficult to take out the militants, without taking down the country. Your line of argument is mere bravado because at the end of the day, those agitating for resource control through restructuring of Nigeria will prevail.

Let me end by correcting some of your distorted figures, before the militancy, Nigeria was at 2.1 million bpd, I don't want to start giving you the breakdown from the various IOCs and local marginal field owners. At the time of handing over to Yaradua, OBJ was at below 700,000 bpd, and that is the fact. As at today, we are doing 2.3million bpd, and Osun and Benue are owing workers salaries. Any form of sabotage will result to mass sack of workers by both the states and federal governments, not to talk of the federal government. Such a scenario will just bring down the government. The only way to avert this is to restructure the country. God bless Nigeria.

They knocked out about 350K barrels in total at their peak period of militancy. If Production dropped to 700-800K does it not show that production should have been between 1-1.1M as I had earlier said?

Now Yar Adua signed an amnesty deal and the activities still continued. GEJ came with his largess and let these militants carter as much as 400K per day just so Nigeria could produce between 1.5-1.9M, tell me is that good governance? And what is to say if the full armour of the military is directed at the militants Nigeria will do any less than the 1.5M?

Men, stop over-exaggerating the effect of these militants. Especially when we have to consider who they're going to be fighting with should this show of shame linger.

Let me work with your own incorrect figures, say, 1.7million bpd, and the militants knocks out, say 1million bpd, at today's rate of 50 dollars per barrel, that is over 50 million dollars per day.kindly do the maths for one year so that you will know how desperate it was for OBJ, which forced him to go and pick GEJ as Yaradua's running mate. The ultimate loser is the FG who will go virtually broke. You will have to come to terms that in present day Nigeria, the niger delta are the ones who pay the piper, and will ultimately dictate the tune.
