ANTlISLAM:Screen short and highlight or indicate the arabic word in 10:94 that translates to the Bible Abi images too get banned? You dropped the post or it was automatically discarded by the spam controller? |
ANTlISLAM:Simply translate yaqrauna al-kitaba min qablika to English and tell which is Bible. Go on to find The Qur’an By Thomas Ballantyne Irving and compare the verse to Mohammed Hegab' s. I am extra confident you cannot and wouldn't. You still refuse to define teenage in view of your 6 year teenage repeated posts. |
SIRTee15:The Torah or first five books includes the book of Genesis isn't It? Enoch is mentioned here isn't he? Why then is the book of Enoch not part of the Torah? Do you see the relevance of the Torah's compilation or canonization here? |
SIRTee15:Why can't you stay on the topic. We are talking about the Torah but the verse in Luke you share in support of Jesus actually reading is neither the Torah nor amongst the first five books of the Bible. Why do you insist on saying what isn't? I had answered the question on the Torah as if this is what the Pharisee and probably Sadducee elders or whichever other priests taught or shared with Jesus I cannot validate the authenticity as Jesus accused these people of lying. |
ANTlISLAM:Glad to see you now find your voice. I have directly asked you to show the arabic word or phrase in Quran 10:94 that translates to mean Bible and you cannot or can you? Do you even know how the Irving and Mohammed Hegab translation came about? |
SIRTee15:It's a straight forward commonality that as individually owned written scripture were not common in Israel in the time of Jesus similarly wriitten scripture was scarce at Mecca or even Medina when Prophet Muhammad pbuh was preaching. You keep emphasizing a Torah in Jesus hand but you failed to show a relevant point to affirm this. However you want to say it the Scrolls of Isaiah are not a part of this book. The scrolls of Isaiah are not a part of the Pentateuch, which is comprised of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The Pentateuch is also known as the Torah, and it is considered the foundational text of Judaism. The scrolls of Isaiah, on the other hand, are part of the Nevi'im, or the Prophets, in the Hebrew Bible. Isaiah is a book of prophecy, written by the prophet Isaiah, who lived in the 8th century BCE. |
SIRTee15:How can this be a valid yardstick? You didn't challenge my statements regarding what and what didn't make the cannon or how decisions about what made it were made? In any case when Jesus said in John 8:44, to the priests that 'You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies' was he not stating they were lying? Were these lies devoid about lying on the content of the scripture ? |
SIRTee15:As you mentioned in your earlier post regarding the Torah there individual copies of scripture were not prominent in Israel and though over 600 years after why will you expect copies to be common in Mecca when parts of the recitation were scribbled on tree backs, animal skin, rocks etc? You see the challenge with accepting a book between hands and not revelation? I don't follow Sam Shamoun but you may want to drop notes about his points or arguments. |
Namaster:It is good you get this in context. The depreciation in Venezuela is 51% but do you know the exchange rate there? 1.00 US Dollar = 3,622,107.41 Venezuelan Bolívares They are an oil rich country. May Nigeria not even get close to this. |
SIRTee15:I clearly say I don't know. The Bible says Jesus had debates and rebuking with them. As to what extent I cannot be sure if it was just them saying what they don't do or a case of also changing content |

SIRTee15:The limits or is it dangers of strictly relying on translations. The Arabic phrase “بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ” Bayna yadayhi is used in the Quran to refer to something that was revealed or given beforehand. In this context, it signifies the previous revelations or scriptures that were sent down by Allah before the Quran. Therefore, a more accurate translation of this phrase in Quran 5:46 would be “what was revealed before.” This translation emphasizes the continuity and interconnectedness of the divine messages throughout history, highlighting the belief in the unity of all prophets and scriptures. It underscores the idea that the Quran does not negate the teachings of previous revelations but rather confirms and completes them. By using the phrase “بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ,” the Quran acknowledges the existence of earlier scriptures such as the Torah and the Gospel, recognizing them as legitimate sources of guidance from Allah. This inclusive approach reinforces the concept of a universal message that transcends time and space, uniting believers across different faith traditions. in the verse 5:46, the phrase "بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ" occurs, which can be translated as "what is between your hands" or "what was revealed before". This phrase is used in reference to the previous scriptures revealed by Allah before the Quran. It serves as a reminder to believers that the message of the Quran is not something new or different, but a continuation of the divine guidance that has been sent down to mankind throughout history. The Quran acknowledges the existence of previous scriptures, such as the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, which were revealed to earlier prophets like Moses, David and Jesus. These scriptures contained valuable guidance and teachings for their respective communities, but over time they were either lost, corrupted, or misunderstood by people. This is why Allah sent the Quran as a final and complete revelation, to correct any errors and provide a clear and unadulterated message for all of humanity. By using the phrase "بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ", the Quran emphasizes the continuity and interconnectedness of the divine revelations. It tells believers that the Quran is not a standalone scripture, but a confirmation and a culmination of the previous scriptures. It is a reminder that the fundamental message of all the prophets, from Adam to Muhammad, has always been the same: to worship Allah alone and to live a righteous and just life. |
SIRTee15:I don't know what he learned and read from the priests and elders whom he challenged but he knew the truth by divine endowment. Recall Quran 19:30 Qaala innee ‘abdullaahi aataaniyal Kitaaba wa ja’alanee Nabiyyaa He (Jesus) said, “I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet. |
ANTlISLAM:Not as you put it Mr/Mrs or Ms. The verse doesn't explicitly say Bible or does It? Your translation of the meaning reads If you are in any doubt concerning what We have sent down to you, then question those who have read the Book (Bible) before you: Truth has come to you from your Lord, so do not be a waverer;but did you see other translations? Samy Mahdy So, if you were in suspicion about what We sent down to you. So, ask those who are reading the Book before you. Already the right has come to you from your Lord, so do not be among the skeptic ones. Sayyid Qutb If you are in doubt concerning what We have bestowed on you from on high, ask those who read the Scriptures [revealed] before you. It is surely the truth that has come to you from your Lord. Do not, then, be among the doubters. Ahmed Hulusi If you are in doubt about what We have revealed to you (o man) ask those who READ Our signs in the worlds before you! Indeed the Truth has come to you from your Rabb... So do not be of those who doubt! Do any of them say Bible? NO as that word is not directly in that verse. Do all the former people believe in the Bible? I doubt the Jews then accepted much outside the Torah and Talmud. Irving & Mohamed Hegab’s translation of these verses is: “If you (O Muhammad) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you, then question those who read the Scripture (before you), verily, the Truth has come to you from your Lord. So be not of those who doubt.” This ttranslation is a faithful representation of the original Arabic text and conveys the same meaning as other translations. They translate “those who have read the scripture before you” as “those who read the Scripture (before you),” which is a valid translation of the Arabic phrase “alladhina atluna al-kitaba min qablika.” The verse outwardly addresses the Prophet (SAW) but it implicitly addresses people in general. As Ibn Kathir says, this verse is to strengthen the faith of the Ummah by telling them that the qualities of the Prophet were in the previous revelations. Ibn Kathir also narrates from the Prophet (SAW) that he said (in response to this verse): Meaning, neither does the Prophet doubt in his revelation. And nor does he ask the People of the Book because he didn't doubt in the first place. Thus, this verse is for other people through the Prophet (SAW). The meaning of "ask those who read the book before you" is to ask the Jews who believed about the qualities of the Prophet mentioned in their scriptures. Most tafasir give the example of Abdullah ibn Salam (RA). Other people also give the meaning that we are told to ask them about the story of Musa and Pharaoh. This is because the Surah just before had mentioned that story. Islam did not begin with Prophet Muhammad (SAW), rather, it is the final reinstatement of God’s universal message of mercy and guidance to humanity which has been sent down through many messengers to various peoples throughout the ages of the earth... In Prophet Jesus’s revelations... •“I cannot do anything of myself. I judge as I hear and my judgement is honest because I am not seeking my own will but the will of the one who sent me” -John 5:30 • “It is written, worship the Lord, your God, and serve him only” -Luke 4:8 •“None of those who call me Lord will enter the kingdom of God, but only the one who does the will of my father in Heaven” -Matthew 7:21 •“None knows about that day or the hour, not even those angels in heaven, not the son, only the father” -Mark 13:32 •“Our father in heaven, hallowed be your name, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” -Matthew 6:9-10 Proof of Islam in Prophet David’s revelation. ”I will bow down toward your holy temple and praise your name for your unfailing love and for your faithfulness. For you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame. When I called, you answered me. You so greatly emboldened me.” -Psalm 138:2 Why do you say of Allah what he is not or didn't say? Q2:75:Do you ˹believers still˺ expect them to be true to you, though a group of them would hear the word of Allah then knowingly corrupt it after understanding it? Q2:174:Indeed, those who hide Allah’s revelations, trading them for a fleeting gain consume nothing but fire into their bellies. Allah will neither speak to them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them. And they will suffer a painful punishment Q3:78:There are some among them who distort the Book with their tongues to make you think this ˹distortion˺ is from the Book—but it is not what the Book says. They say, “It is from Allah”—but it is not from Allah. And ˹so˺ they attribute lies to Allah knowingly On another note why do you persistently refuse to define teenage? Amused are you?😊 Then plainly refuse to research the age of Mary when she bore Jesus. In art, Mother Mary is often portrayed as a fully grown woman. But how old was Mary when she had Jesus, really? Mary was actually a young teen when she gave birth to Jesus, historians believe. Just how young? Historians agree that Mary was most likely between 12 and 14 years old when Jesus was born. It is not appropriate for someone who Allah has blessed with the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood to say to people, “Worship me instead of Allah.” Rather, he would say, “Be devoted to the worship of your Lord ˹alone˺—by virtue of what you read in the Scripture and what you teach.”Q3:79 Emboldened is Tauhid or Monotheism. |
SIRTee15:The Torah known to Jesus or the Torah Jesus held between his hands? Which is It? When you include a book that isn't part of the Torah in your statement that isn't it's no problem reminding you. As it is it's best you ask Jesus as the selective Biblical canon is not free of human manipulation to determine what should and shouldn't be there. The call on you was to help antiislam show the arabic that translates to Bible in Quran 10:94 but this wasn't seen. Thanks for your time and contributions. |
SIRTee15:Wikipedia says The Torah is the compilation of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, namely the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. You related: SIRTee15:Is the Book of Isaiah amongst the first five books of the Hebrew Bible that make up the Torah? Do you not marvel at what you initially addressed me with in your statement quoted above in yourself? It is your primary scripture you are talking about and I should not point out this slip of yours to you. The scrolls of Isaiah are not a part of the Torah. SIRTee15:The Septuagint is a collection of Jewish scriptures that includes both canonical and non-canonical texts. The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Septuagint contain different parts of the Scrolls of Isaiah One of the most significant variations between the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Septuagint occurs in Isaiah 7:14, which is a well-known prophetic passage that is traditionally understood to foretell the birth of Jesus Christ. In the Hebrew text of the Dead Sea Scrolls, this verse reads, "Behold, the young woman is with child and shall bring forth a son," while the Septuagint version of the same verse translates it as, "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son. Your reference in Luke about reading from scrolls of Isaiah is not the same as reading from the Torah. Perharps you should have referred to Matthew 4:4: When tempted by Satan in the wilderness, Jesus quotes Deuteronomy 8:3, saying, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 19:18-19: In response to a rich young ruler asking what he must do to inherit eternal life, Jesus references Exodus 20:12-17 and Leviticus 19:18, stating, “You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Mark 12:29-30: When asked which commandment is the most important, Jesus responds by quoting Deuteronomy 6:4-5, stating, “The most important one is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” These are clearly of the Torah but the knowledge Jesus has of this doesn't translate to him reading from the Torah as having scrolls in which it was written between his hands. Jesus’ knowledge of the Torah is evident throughout the New Testament. He was born into a Jewish family and raised in a community that deeply valued and studied the Torah. As a result, Jesus was likely well-versed in its teachings from a young age. This familiarity is reflected in his discussions and debates with other religious leaders during his ministry. |
TenQ:Oga examiner do find your class and test scripts to evaluate elsewhere please. I have rendered literature on what Biblia from Greek means. Which group of Christians? Do you turn around to imply people of the book as stated in the Quran refers to only Christians? That is not tenable nor acceptable. In conclusion show otherwise that throughout history, there have been various books excluded from the final canon of the Bible. These books are often referred to as apocryphal or deuterocanonical books. The reasons for excluding these texts varied, but some common factors include concerns about their authorship, content, theological consistency, and widespread acceptance among the early Christian communities. So the early Christians chose what to accept and reject isn't It? If it doesn't go well with us remove it ![]() |
SIRTee15:ad hominem fallacy? How? My seeking clarification becomes an attack on your personality? SIRTee15:The Scroll of the Prophet Isaiah is a part of the Nevi’im, or the Prophets, in the Hebrew Bible. It is not a part of the Torah. The Nevi’im is the second section of the Hebrew Bible, following the Torah and preceding the Ketuvim (Writings). Is this implying you don't know what you have as a Bible? 🤔 Selah |
The word “biblia” originates from the Greek language and is the plural form of “biblion,” which means “book.” It is derived from the ancient Phoenician city of Byblos, which was a major exporter of papyrus, an early form of paper. The term “biblia” was used to refer to a collection of writings or scrolls, eventually evolving to represent what we now know as books. Please show Bible here! |
TenQ:Of course Nairaland is full of the Macabre dance of Tenq around issues without directly addressing them. Is the Quran 10:94 talking about origins of the word Bible or there is the claim by ANTIISLAM and supported or promulgated by you that Bible is distinctly mentioned in the Quran? Why should I answer a question unrelated to the actual question? Did I claim to speak Greek? Oh I forget the Bible is a translation of a Greek written Bible to which it was translated from Hebrew, Aramaic or which ever Israelite language. ![]() Is the Bible the only scripture used by the people before and more likely by some during the prophethood of Muhammad pbuh? Your friend SIRTEE15 clearly states Jesus reading a variant from the scrolls of Isaiah or are these scrolls too not scripture as the Book of Giants I mentioned earlier. Too bad you and your lot failed to show Bible particularly written in the Quran. Kindly stop your false claims. |
TenQ:Ehya! The problem of little knowledge. Now you are shifting from Bible to scripture. Is there a difference? Perhaps you will show the false dilemma you present being that all scripture are not the Bible or are they? ANTIISLAM boldly holds that Bible is explicitly stated in the Quran verse 10:94 and you agree and support him. The simple question you both fail to answer is the exact word that is arabic for Bible in that verse. I have been waiting for you to show me and you pull another one Scripture. Please isn't there a difference between Bible and Scripture from the point that not all scripture are the Bible. Clear case why so many scripture are excluded from the Biblical canon or isn't It? Did I not ask why the Book of Enoch was excluded from the Bible cannon? Is it not scripture? The term أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (Ahl al-Kitab) is a common phrase in the Quran and is generally translated as “People of the Book” or “People of the Scripture. The Arabic word كتاب (Kitab) has a broad range of meanings, including “book,” “writing,” “record,” or “scripture.” In the context of the Quran, it often refers to divine revelations and sacred texts. For example, in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:2), the Quran describes itself as “a Book whose verses are made clear and then detailed from One Who is Wise and Well-Acquainted [with all things].” The problem with people that do single word translation without considering other words in the verse or context. So because you know simple addition of numbers you are now equal to the Engineer applying complex mathematical equations to create working and reproduceable innovation to ease or tackle tasks? Get well educated and stop displaying stupid ignorance please. Unbaked flour dough. |
Can you confirm that initially the people were amazed at the words of Jesus and wondered at the gracious words that came from his mouth. However, their amazement quickly turned to skepticism and disbelief when Jesus began to challenge their preconceived notions and traditions. The people in the synagogue questioned Jesus’ authority and doubted his claims, leading to a confrontation between Jesus and the crowd. |
SIRTee15:Kindly clarify so you are well understood. Did Jesus read or have the Torah between his hands or the Scrolls of Isaiah? Are the Scrolls of Isaiah the same thing as the Torah? Assuming I get you right. What Jesus is said to have read in Luke 4:18 -19 is a rendition of Isaiah 61:1-2? Tell then why the discrepancies as Luke 4:18-19 reads: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,o because he has anointed me to proclaim good newsp to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” While Isaiah 61 reads 1. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. Concerns are emboldened. Which captives or prisoners did Jesus free? Which old wastes were raised and or repaired? Does this not show confirmation with Quran 2:79 So woe to those who distort the Scripture with their own hands then say, “This is from Allah”—seeking a fleeting gain! So woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they have earned? Or a distortion of Isaiah 61 in what is related in Lukec4:18 isn't obvious? |
TenQ:Fantastic work at upholding your dishonesty. Ohyoudidnt:Is the above without a definition of Bible or you didn't see It? What trash do you speak about Greek language and Bible? Is the word Bible explicitly said in the Quran and particularly in vs 10:94? Show the word and stop creating answers to questions you weren't asked. You claim كتاب (kitab) in Arabic means Bible where did you get this translation from? Show it here if you are a bit honest. As stated before: Ohyoudidnt:Once you can prove Kitab is Bible you are then worthy to ask other questions. |
SIRTee15:There is no direct evidence in the New Testament that Jesus held a physical copy of the Torah in his hands. However, there are numerous references to Jesus’ knowledge of and familiarity with the Torah. It is important to note that during Jesus’ time, physical copies of the Torah were not widely available. The Torah was typically written on parchment scrolls, which were expensive and time-consuming to produce. As a result, they were primarily owned by synagogues and religious institutions rather than individuals. It is unlikely that Jesus himself would have owned a physical copy of the Torah. |
SIRTee15:Did you read what you are replying to right? My submissions are in respect of Jewish belief in Muhammad not Jesus. In any case the Messianic Jews you refer to are more likely a smaller population than the Majority of Judaic Jews. Some sources suggest that there are around 300,000 Messianic Jews worldwide, while others estimate the number to be much lower. In comparison, the total Jewish population is approximately 14.7 million, according to the Jewish Virtual Library. You know very well the limitations of the Corinthians creed; who, when and why it was promulgated. |
TenQ:Let me start with your clear falsehood which proves you are incapable of honest discourse. You claim that the Arabic word for Bible is kitab? Do you know this is written in Arabic as كتاب. What translation to English do you have of this? Sincerely answer! If you can prove this means Bible then we may continue with you listing or discussing your claims of contradiction in the Quran however show proof that كتاب is the Arabic equivalent of Bible |
TenQ:Do these verses annul the corruption of the scripture by these people? Jesus often clashed with the Pharisees, a prominent Jewish sect known for their strict adherence to religious laws and traditions. One significant point of contention between Jesus and the Pharisees was their interpretation and application of the Scriptures. In Matthew 23:23, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees, saying, “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faithfulness.” Obviously you claim that Mark 7:8-9, Jesus condemned the Pharisees, saying, “You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” He accused them of nullifying the word of God by their traditions, thereby corrupting the true essence of divine teachings is a lie. IS THIS THE CASE OR YOU TOO DISTORT THE TRUTH TenQ:? Did I not share definitions of the Bible with you? Does Quran 10:94 say Bible or you make unfounded claims? Show the arabic word or phrase for Bible in Quran 10:94 if you speak the truth you and ANTIISLAM that is grossly ignorant of what he is against. |
ANTllSLAAM:Is what you know as the Bible not beyond the Torah and the Gospel? Mary: In the New Testament, Mary, the mother of Jesus, is described as a virgin when she was betrothed to Joseph (Matthew 1:18). While the exact age at which Jewish girls were betrothed during this time period is unclear, it is believed to have been around the age of 12 or 13. |
ANTllSLAAM:Answered. Now you stop shying away from answering ANTIIISLAM kindly show the word that translates to Bible Have you done research on the age of Mary the mother of Yeshua peace be on both of them? The latter you call Jesus. What was the age of Mary? Do you feel there's any extra speciality in Quran 10:94? What scriptures came before the Quran? The Torah, The Psalms are especially mentioned. The Injil was not collected in the lifetime of Jesus and I doubt it ever was. Is confirming the oneness of God from the former scriptures a folly or that Moses pbuh led the Israelites from slavery in Egypt? Is it about who David is and the battle with Goliath or what really is your point? Then tell what this makes of your reference to Quran 10:24 Quran 2:75-79 - These verses discuss a story where Allah accuses the People of the Book of altering their scriptures. The passage states that Allah gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, but they equal parts sold it for a small gain and unjustly devoured the property of others. As a result, Allah enraged them with anger and cursed them for their disbelief. Quran 3:78-79 - In these verses, Allah criticizes the People of the Book for changing the words from their original meaning. The passage mentions that they have forgotten a significant portion of what they were reminded of, and as a consequence, they have not retained the Book faithfully. Quran 5:13 - This verse states that the People of the Book have been commanded to believe in Revelation sent to them, but a group of them are transgressors. Allah accuses them of altering the Word of Allah knowingly. Quran 5:41 - The passage mentions that the People of the Book were given the Scripture and clear proofs, but they were not to remain steadfast in knowledge after the arrival of Prophet Muhammad. Allah criticizes them for not believing in the revelations and for following their own desires. Quran 4:46 - This verse discusses the story of Moses and the Pharaoh, where Allah accuses the Pharaoh and his people of being astray and corrupting their scriptures. Quran 4:48 - The passage mentions that the People of the Book were given the Scripture, judgment, and prophethood. However, they did not uphold the Scripture, spread corruption in the land, and follow their own desires. |
TenQ:1. In the Quran, there are references to a group of people who were reading the book before Mohammed. These individuals are believed to be the People of the Book, which include Jews, Christians, and possibly other religious groups who existed before the prophethood of Muhammad on Islam. The Quran acknowledges that these people had access to a divine scripture and that they were following certain teachings and commandments that were revealed to their respective prophets. The Quran mentions several Jewish communities and individuals in its text. According to Islamic tradition, the Torah (Tawrat) was given to Moses (Musa a.s) and served as a source of guidance for the Israelites. The Quran acknowledges that the Torah contains guidance from Allah, but it also criticizes some Jews for altering their scripture and disbelieving in their prophets. The Quran often mentions Christians and their beliefs. The Christian scripture, referred to as the Injil (Gospel), is believed to have been given to Jesus (Isa a.s) by Allah. The Quran acknowledges Jesus as a prophet and confirms many aspects of Christian teachings such as Jesus’ virgin birth, miracles, and his role as a messenger from Allah. However, it also criticizes some Christians for deifying Jesus and his mother Mary (Maryam), and for deviating from the original teachings of their religion. The Sabians are another group mentioned in the Quran as being “People of the Book.” Although they are less well-known than Jews and Christians, they are considered an important religious community in Islamic tradition. They are generally believed to be a monotheistic religious group that lived in Mesopotamia during the time of Muhammad. Some scholars suggest that they might have been star worshippers or followers of John the Baptist, but there is no consensus on this matter. 2. The books are the Torah of Moses, The Testament of Abraham, The Psalms of David and the injil of Jesus though there's no record of its existence as a book. 3. The Bible is a name given to the sacred scriptures of Christians comprising the Old Testament and the New Testament, the sacred scriptures of some other religion (such as Judaism) and is an obsolete term for book. However the verse 10:94 has no word translated to Bible or can you show me الكتاب المقدس in It? |
