Kuda is not a portfolio bank right? They are a microfinance bank.
I don't know about the others but I think kuda is popular with diaspora because of its options that allow easy remittance.

richforever123:
I use Kuda too, this Fintech is so customer centric, for example if when I use GTBank and have a disoense error, I have to call, follow up for weeks, go to the office and shout before my money is refunded, however with Kuda, the money is refunded automatically without me calling, Kuda wil also let you know when the reciepient bank has received the transfer, these Fintech also hold online seminars and give financial advice

I am not advertising them or saying ab=nyone should use or invest in them, they are licence by the CBN and promoted by the Vice President to fill up the gap the financial institution cannot fill, they are target at the young Nigerians and Millenials

Also their rates are not outrageous, Cowryrise offers the investment offered like the SUKUK bond, although there are other Fintechs popping up that are shady like Stashbox.ng and the likes, those ones may likely go bust

LOL... The guy/babe will do very well as a Risk Assessment Officer or Manager. He is very suspicious of everything,

Every financial institution, project or idea needs someone like him that wears the kind of hat (black hat) he wears to draw the attention of team members to potential loopholes that may have been overlooked, particularly useful when everyone else gets carried away by the shinning object syndrome. You need at least one person to tell you to also look at the other side of the coin for balance.

I guess you will say pension and some other institutional investors.

emmanuelewumi:
I may be wrong, I want to believe N100,000 to a Nigerian in Nigeria, is about $1000 to an American in the US.

How many Americans have $1000 in their accounts.

How many Nigerians have 100k in their accounts, among those with 100k in their accounts what percentage will consider paper Investments like Treasury Bills and fixed income.

Those of us who buy Treasury Bills are in the minute minority.

How does this effect or affect us?

At the end of the two-day bimonthly MPC meeting, all policy levers were maintained following a unanimous vote of all committee members.

• Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) - 11.50%
• Asymmetric corridor around the MPR - +100/-700bps,
• Cash Reserve Ratio – 27.50%, and
• Liquidity Ratio 30.0%.

You know this argument does not hold water right?
The market does not allow direct sale person to person because it is an exchange, so how will the person offload on just you when he does not control when you are interested in buying so that he can ensure that it is his own specially that you buy.

Everyone who has some small knowledge of stock market will know that some stocks sell faster than others. Even GTB sell faster than Vitafoarm and expectedly REIT are likely to also be low in the liquidity pecking order but I hate to think that because someone shared his or her opinion on a particular investment option that he wants to dump it on you when he or she has no way of controlling who buys what he or she is offering on the exchange.

Do you really think it can take up to 6 months?
I am asking because I know that some houses can take that long to sell if not longer. Getting occupancy especially with high end houses can sometimes take years.

emmasoft:
You can't say exactly. Anytime there is an available buyer who agrees at your price there will be a deal. It can be in minutes or days or weeks etc

Thanks for pointing this out, lazyyouth. I was writing something related, but decided against it....

REITs are very illiquid. When you need urgent money is when you will know what you entered. This, as well as the other factors the moniker has stated should be put into consideration, not just the dividend.

Pros and cons of an investment are good to be shared so people understand what they are getting themselves into. And not just jump in blindly

And the guy never has to worry what type of tenant he has or waiting endlessly for a tenant to occupy the building plus things like land use charge, estate dues, development levy and risk of fire burning the building.

Oga, solar works especially when properly sized, that I can tell you for free.

Most people have an energy mix of Solar, Gen and PHCN.

There is a very active thread for solar, you will be properly guided on how to go about it.

The rule of thumb is usually to start by powering just you most essential appliances and grow gradually from there as you begin to understand the system.

Biafran4life:
Since you have used it.I have not.
I will like to find out something from you
1.How many panel and size are you using
2What appliances is this capacity covering for you
3what duration does it last or supply power
4.What is the total cost both for installation and gadgets
5How long have you been using it.
6What is the maintenance cost
Please this is just to know whether to switch from generator.

Baba, u wan break the glass? It is usually the aluminum part that is slide on the ladder.

Personally, I prefer using a decommission 10mm cable . The strands in the cable serve as a strong form of support, I don't trust those ropes if they will be able to hold for high rising buildings.

ceaser:
Thanks.

In sliding it along the ladder, I suppose the glass surface of the panel will be the part that slides on the ladder for smooth movement.

I think the ropes those Hausa sell that is used for fetching water from inside water wells will suffice. They are usually strong and taut ropes.

When it comes to operations priorities differ in the various units of the Holding company. Realities differ from what is on paper most times. You should be able to get FBNQuest through FBN but it may waste your time. The best thing to do is for you to be at the specific company in the Holdco that is in charge of what you need. In this case go to FBNQuest at kaffi Ikoyi.

I do not think we have ever had one exchange rate in recent memory, even during Abacha's time when he pegged his exchange rate at 22 naira, the black market was around 77-80 naira, the major difference between then and now was the lust for imported goods.

jedisco:
You're getting me wrong. It isn't about comparing the past and the present. But then, when Sanusi was there, we has a pretty much even rate.

I'm not necessarily against CBN fixing an exchange rate. I believe every central bank (more so of developing nations) should have good control over their currency. This can be achieved via multiple means. CBN can say 1 naira to a dollar... No problem...but they should defend it. They should not use the commonwealth of the whole nation to subsidize forex for a few people. The effects of devaluation are felt by all Nigerians so I don't see why a select group of people have access to subsidized forex.

My point is that all Nigerians should access forex at same rate (whether 1 or 1000) because we all bear the effect of devaluation. If the government wants to support a group, there are multiple ways to achieve that.
Foreign Affairs › Re: I Contemplated Suicide - Meghan Markle Accuses British Royals Of Racism by ojesymsym: 4:29pm On Mar 08, 2021
This looks like what a British press would write. Did you write this yourself?

Jakumo:
The first question that springs to mind when one considers the incessant public whining of Mrs. Megain, is just what the heck she hopes to accomplish by badmouthing the British monarchy. Regardless of whether or not Shrieking Megain's catalog of grievances has even the most abstract factual basis, the entire premise of soliciting paid press conferences just to complain again stinks to high heavens of self-absorbed narcissism, arrogance, and hubris.

Harry committed the monumental blunder of a lifetime by marrying an aging bitter divorcee already known to be despised by her entire family. Casting himself as a 'whupped little cowering poodle in Megain's repertoire of silly pet tricks will only compound the long-term repercussions of being associated with such a toxic individual as Megain The Complainer. Both of these two comedic characters will soon be forced to rely entirely on mercenary press interviews to stave off bankruptcy, which is a Shakesperian fate many would regard as richly deserved.

Rather than announce her plans to commit suicide, Mrs. Megain ought to simply get on with it and end her miserable existence as a public service that will delight millions of observers worldwide. With a global pandemic still raging and the entire planet reeling from the devastating economic consequences of the contagion, all Mrs. Megain can think about is her next paid press interview, and which new set of complaints to concoct for public consumption. One cannot but pity Harry as his life and heritage implode for all to see on the world stage.
