lol.... U de craze I swear, which kind answer be dis?

U know what, I kind of agree to a certain extent to your philosophy that u can't hustle all your hustle just for the sake of your off springs to the extent you do not even enjoy life for yourself. Work non de finish, they themselves must hustle for themself albeit they will not be starting from the very bottom.

I just came across this post below almost at same time as your post and it explains what can happen when your kids where parents have done all the work for you can become, Too much time on your hands, many of which will not be used for productive use,

SeaTrade:
Well,I'm not a good man. cheesy
I had a talk with my oldest daughter a few months back. A ceratain young man had been around her.... I noticed she had begun to "hang out" in the evenings more often after work and, can now take Smirnoff ice (a soft alcoholic drink) I crashed in on her phone conversations many times and they were mentally exhausting. She was always explaining herself to this character. I recognised a pattern. I knew I had to cut the rope and crash the bridge. A 22yrs old did not deserve such mental stress. Heck! No human should have to deal with insecure friends or partner. Our talk revealed the most. I told her the words of my father when my ex came begging. "Every relationship affects you either positively or negatively". It is not a lie that a person is as good as the company they keep. This boy (new money) is a highschool friend turned lover and a son of a serving Senator. He did not do any work, but had his father's money and cars to live on. Not that there is anything wrong in resting on one's father's riches. But they were world's apart in principles and values. She, an aspiring cosmetic surgeon, understood the importance of work. She was secretary in her organization and often delivered pitches or seminars at top government parastatals. She had a crowded itinerary, he didn't.
I told her "he will bring you down to basic, leave him now".

If you are with a partner or friend whose face does not light up in excitement when they hear of your dreams and successes, you are in the wrong company.
She eventually found a reason to cut ties and all is peace again.

The way una de call money, e go come be like say non be this country I follow de.

In my own estimation, the number of workers who have 1 million naira liquidity saved somewhere in their account as they are retiring are not up to 1 million workers.

Most small towns and villages don't need millions to survive. Places where you are able to get 3 bedroom flat for 130 - 150k non need you to be millionaire.

Health is the humbler though. Some terminal illnesses have no respect the individual

I think the use of the word scammer without proof is what is being contended, perhaps using a more cautious word like "beware of this guys, this is is the kind of message he sends around" would probably have seem more appropriate.

But the way some of una stick out una neck for the guy shock me sha. Asking a stranger for 300k with a promise of 10% in one month is a red flag na. Haba.

As hard as it is to believe that anyone would fall for such cheap scam, there might be someone out there who might have fallen prey to him were it not for posts like mine. I am alerting people on threads he has posted to be aware of him, and you're coming out here to defend him or criticize me? Maybe you're one of them else you won't be defending him. When a standing fan begins to have a humming sound when on and only starts rotating when the blade is rotated, what needs to be repaired? The capacitor at the regulator part has been changed, the refusal to rotate still persist.

All the fan repairers I used to see in the area seem to have disappeared.

I do not know if she was paid, but she was clearly not happy from her narration on radio that day. She said she had even threatened the man that she would kill herself but the man simply refused to bulge.

But some non wan work at all sha.
emmanuelewumi:
Some African men will not allow their wives to work.

When my brother-in-law asked my sister with Masters degree to stop working. I told him my sister would stop working immediately he transferred her salary for 20 years into her account.

If he wanted to pay in installments, I will keep the fund for her until it was fully paid

Funny enough he told my sister to drop out of the Master's degree program when they were dating eventhough he was not the one paying the school fees, because her maiden was on her first degree and will also be on her second degree. Can you see mentality.

8 years after the guy has not been able to transfer her salary for a year into her account.

The female doctor who decided to be a house wife for 16 years because of her husband, do you know if the husband paid her N100 million to stay at home and she has invested part of the fund, thereby making her personal money

This is so funny.

I still struggle to understand why someone will take up a space in the University and then finally opt to stay at home doing nothing.

This is different from those who genuinely seek for jobs but the high unemployment rates doesn't allow them.

Some husbands do not help matters, I listened to a life program on the radio one day and a woman called to say she had not worked for 16 years because her husband prevented her from working. Funny thing is, she was a UK trained medical doctor. She said her father had also refused to speak with her in those 16 years because of that, yet the husband non gree am work.

emmanuelewumi:
Most landlords will tell you that most of the problematic tenants are those whose wives are full time housewives. They gossip, don't mind their business, jealous of others women in the house who make their own money.

The husband will give them money to pay for Utilities, they will spend it, give her money to pay the children school fees, she will use it to sow seeds in her pastor's life or invest in MMM or MBA forex, she will owe money in the community and the husband will be expected to come and settle the debt.

The financial responsibility of her own family ie sibblings and parents will also be solely on the husband. Can you see why it requires grace for such a man to be financially balanced and not die before his time.

Can this water be used directly as a form of manure?

Some companies pass such water through a water treatment plant.

PeaceLoveJoy:
Of course, it will not smell because bacteria acted on them (ammonia), but there are bad bacteria which are still there. Bro, the water is filled with diseases. In the real biogas on farms, water doesnt come out of the digester. It is wrong. Water comes out because there is excess water in soak away. You need to find a way to not flush with water. It is as simple as ABC. Human stool has more diseases than livestocks' dung.

It is a good concept, but to pass environmental sanitation, find a way to deal with the water. And I'm telling you, the best way is to do it like normal biodigester which doesnt have excess water like soak away. You dont needs to force your own pattern. Find a way to do it rightly..

I think just as we have people with different characters so are there people who are either frugal or extravagant. Having carefully observed lots of people, I have come to the conclusion that a frugal person will continue to remain so even if he knows next month is his last month on earth while the extravagant one will rather spend all his money on frivolities even if he knows there are important bills to pay and there is a future ahead.

Funny thing is that both parties believe they are right and sneer at the behavior of the other party. Both parties never understand why the other do the things they do.

Dead capital in real estate, what does that mean?

emmanuelewumi:
I think PENCOM should allow workers to borrow against the retirement savings for home ownership.

We have a lot of dead capital in real estate, government needs to look at how to resurrect the dead capital in real estate to catalyse the economy

According to PWC, we have between $300 billion to $900 billion dead capital in the Nigerian real estate market

The CBN can argue that they did not ban crypto and in all fairness, they do not have the capacity to ban it. They seem to have only said that the banks and other financial systems under their control should not allow themselves to be used as facilitators.

jedisco:
Then what was your point?

That fraudulent folks have ised a system does not mean it should be banned more so when they in their minority. Every system has been abused at one point or the other

No one who has a fair knowledge of crypto can say it is fraudulent, at least even in the post you quoted, I still did not say that.
jedisco:
You guys keep saying same thing.
Just that the amount is large does not mean it is fraudulent.

How exactly is it fraudulent? That's the question I'm asking

Try and understand this, that 10 billion was traded does not mean exactly 10 billion Naira changed hands. Trader A has 1 million naira. He buys and resells btc with his 1 million naira for like 6 times a day for a total profit of 50k at the end of the day. For the exchange, that's 6.05 million naira volume traded in total but in reality, and for Trader A, it's just his 1 million Naira that is traded six different times!

Crypto and Forex on their own are not fraudulent, but people seem to abused Forex investment due to greed and crypto because of its untraceable nature.
But CBN did not remove them from the banking system because of fraud I believe. It was purely from monetary policy reasons

Every single good thing in this country has been destroyed by scammers. Back in the day you could easily walk out to buy a sim card of your choice but when scammers and kidnappers began to abuse the process now one needs all forms of documentation and Nin to either buy or retrieve your line.

I believe crypto must have started as a profitable venture until scammers turned their searchlights on it again and abused the process.

How do you change your circle of friends and family? Not so easy bro.
Most people will turn your discussion to politics and blame game. Also depending on how old, girls, runs, clubbing, strip clubs, premiership (football), Zeeworld and relationship matter will fill major discussions.

Very true about staying friendless than having people around you that add or have no value.

emmasoft:
Put a span to Your Waiting

It’s obvious that January has just one more day to go in fact as per official working days for most corporate entities January ended already.
Have you been waiting to start saving and investing?
Wait no further you lost 30 days already, perhaps one of your resolutions was to start saving and investing this year 2021. This is the time to start because you are getting late; yes, did I hear you say haba it’s still January na? ok let me let you know that if you planned to save 1000 every day you have lost 30,000 already, if you have to make up for that you make extra sacrifices to meet up your target. Do you know if you planned to buy zenith bank shares as we started this year you will have to spend extra 4,000 or more if you are buying it now? If you just kept that money laying down fallow without investing it at least in a mutual fund it would have depreciated by at least 1%. I can go on and on.
So folks don’t just wait start something now. If you are new to investment do not hesitate to learn quick and hit the ground running a little here and a little there you will be surprised what you have by December 2021.

One good way to start is to share your income into percentages and try as much as possible to stick to it. A very popular one is the 45, 20, 20, 10, 5 rule or pattern. You can modify it to suit your current income or investment drive.

50% - The most have ie essential things to the survival and well being of your life and family. House, food, transportation, and the likes fall into this category.

20% - Good to have ie things that is good for your comfort but life is still complete and can go on without them. A better phone, designer items etc Mind you depending on your lifestyle, income bracket and purpose of this items or services, what is good to have to one person is a must have to another because sometimes those items or services could be use as way to increase network or even income.

20% - Saving and investment. This is money meant for you. Every other percentage of your income is exchanged for goods or services. It is only this portion you can actually call your money. This is what the popular slogan “pay yourself first” means. It is what you save and invest that is yours.

10% - Obligation to God. We must always show appreciation to God. He gave us power to make wealth.

5%- Charity. This is what you give to the truly needy. Mostly the people that do not have the capacity to return your kind gesture in terms of giving you back especially cash. This is another way to invest. He that give to the poor lend to the Lord... Proverbs 19:17.

However, as earlier stated these ratios are not cast on stone. You can modify the ratios to align with your specific goals at a particular period. For instance, the month of December being festive period and time to reach out could warrant increase in percentage to charity.

Before February starts Put a span to your waiting and start immediately.
