I swear suppose I non de Naija, I for think say na another country una de talk about. Check listing sites before you reply me, most 1.5m are for detached duplexes. Most people who can afford to rent a duplex are more likely to be able to afford to build their own house.
Housing for 3 bedroom in kubwa, Ajah axis is way less than that 1.5m. Ibadan is far cheaper. Abi make all of us relocate to garki Abuja.

Grossly exaggerated. My fear about blanket statements like these is that someone who went to church today thanking God for his 100k job will suddenly come online and hear that he actually needs 40k a day to be a human being, that means his salary is supposed to be spent in 2 days and half. Then he slips into fraud mode and enters Yahoo Yahoo or even worse kidnapping so that he can meet up with the new 40k a day target.
Or the wifey who was okay with ogas 200k salary now reads that 40k a day is the new Target and starts putting pressure on oga, oga may now start defrauding his company and before the company realise they are broke and need to sack workers. No one will be able to trace the source of all these to some innocuous statement made online.
OgogoroFreak:
it's exaggerated bro. How can you believe we need about 1.2m monthly to live a good life in Nigeria?

Average rent for 3 bedroom in Lagos is not 1.5m. not everyone stays inside lekki. Do you buy a car very year? So you as a person will agree to pay phcn 40k a month when you are not running a factory? 180k for calls annually when they are not business calls which in that case it becomes an investment.
I can contend food but I'd leave that for now.
September holiday is an optional activity. If the whole country go on holiday in September, who go run the airport when u wan follow commot.
Haba, make una de fear God.

TotoNaRubber:
I will explain this in details, the statistics of 40k per day inflation rate to live a good life in Nigeria is real. Let us start with housing;

I collected some information ahiboilandgas posted;
Lagos rent - 1.5m
Car - 2.5m
Nepa - 480k
Fuel - 240k
Calls - 180k
Dstv - 140k
Food - 3 person 1.2m
School fees - 1.5m (for a bit above average schools)
Data - 120k
September holiday - N3m
Car for madam - N2.5m
Hospital(Nhis) - (This could go up to N1m or more depending on bad roads, poor health facilities, dangote truck failing break)
Cloths - 500k

If you add up this value and divide by 365 days, you will ariive at N40k per day.

He is right. Most of us in Nigeria are just existing.

You guys will just come online and throw unsubstantiated accusations, pluck fake statistics from thin air. How can anyone say our inflation rate is as high as Venezuela and Zimbabwe?
You say we need 40k a day in Nigeria to survive? Why are we not all dead then?

Abeg let us leave this thread for TB, there is section for politics when we can churn out statistics the way we like.
TotoNaRubber:
The problem is the technical know-how. The Nigerian economy is being run anyhow, there are no proper decision making board who makes beneficial foreign investors policies.

The ones that are there collect bribe and do the basic minimum to retain their jobs, the ones that know what to do are not even employed in that sector, so it's a Nigerian governance/culture problem.

The inflation rate in Nigeria is as bad as Zimbabwe/Venezuela, if i was in the Nigerian foreign investors policy making board, part of the bargain for foreign invetors will be to invest 30 percent of the liquid assets in the real economy to employ at least 500 Nigerians depending on the size of the company, could be lower then reduce taxes for these companies in certain capital expenditure.

Any foreign investor who invests in Nigeria deserves a reward apart from all these Lotto, Baba ijebu Lebanese thieves, Nigeria is run on inflation, the cost of living doesn't reflect the quality of service received. It will cost you N40k per day to live a good life in Nigeria if you factor in cost of medical expenses, security, electricity, food, stress meanwhile you could enjoy this same quality of life for less than N15k per day in a developed country.

We have to take it easy with the CBN governor. The CBN governor is like the account officer to the fg. That means he is to act in their best interest. TB is one instrument at their disposal so if they feel that the loan bill is getting too much, it makes sense from the position of the fg to want to reduce it. As citizens we take advantage of such instruments depending on the direction it is going.
We should not forget that has to ensure the general health of the economy is treated with the right medication they seem fit. It is not the same medication you use for headache that you will use for migraine, not the type of solution you use in year 1 that you must use in year 2. Seriously from the position of the CBN, think about it, if guys are still subscribing at 6% , what is the incentive for wanting to pay any body 18% when there is still high demand.

Still functioning. Just got 112 days secondary for 6% a few minutes ago at 11:35. This is 11:40 now. I had another option for 63 days at 5%.
What I did, I took the phone number of the person that received my filled form because at the time I filled there was none available. So from time to time I kept calling from time to time to prompt the person to check, don't forget they are also busy and won't remember to do that for you without the very polite prompting.
My experience in life is that simple cordiality and respect gets things done.

But, is there really no hope in the villages or other towns apart from Lagos, pH, Abuja and to a lesser degree Kano? My principle is that everyone cannot be in Lagos we can see that from the congession in the city. Even China de complain say everyone wan go stay Shanghai. But in the book Acre of Diamond, it says if you look around your environment you can find that niche that you can compound to etch a living for yourself.
There are very many people in Lagos who live their life on hope when they probably would have been more productive in other smaller cities or towns.
Adiwana:
At times its better to just burst out into the wild without knowing where you are going and the dangers that lie ahead. Many people die poor because they're are not ready to take that extra step.

I remember one day i was talking with a friend of mine.I told him i rather remained unemployed than to work in a bank.He showed me the reason why he would do so. He said that the banking was a very good place to meet rich people. You do the man know man thing.Get to be his unofficial personal financial manager.Make life easier for him through depositing and withdrawals, then get close to him. That way things, luck could smile on you. If you look at it from the stress point of view, you could easily pick up a tricycle for yourself. Its stress free and you are your own boss. But as a bank staff, you easily have access and know rich folks. The probability of getting connection through bank is higher than getting that connection through picking a rich customer.

Many Igbo boys come out of their villages to serve their ogas with just nylon bags. Many of them go to serve people they have never met. Many that serve dont even know the type of trade their bosses are into until they enter shop. But at the end of the day,the ones that have sense make out something with what they were given.

What am trying to say is this. You can stay in the village and wait till you see a clear path or you can come out and create that path for yourself. At the end of the day,you are responsible for only person. That is you

I do not know about Abuja, I can say for majority of lekki. All the advise you have that guy was top notch, I just don't want the guy to rush to lekki only to be shocked that 400k non de, his already broken spirit may become shattered and we don't want that do we?

I know you are trying to psych the guy up but let's also be a little careful about the info we push out. There are very few schools if any that pay as much as 400k salary even the ones collect millions in school fees do not pay as much.
Typical salary is from 40k to 75k then. Then you have the next category that range around 100k to 120k, not even coronna do I think will dare pay 400k.
I am only putting it out there so that some people will not start looking down on themselves.

I have done quite a couple of solar experiments that are not recommended by the textbooks or engineering principles but this I haven't so I won't argue with you too much. How long has you been using it by the way?
I remember when I used to use 1 solar panel, two charge controller for 2 battey set up. You need to know what you are doing to attempt some of these things knowing that things can go wrong and you can loose your equipment. In this case you may even lose power because I think pwm will just clip out the excess.
SolnergyPower:
Oga, I yield up to 20A instantaneously from 4 panels of 150W connected in 2S1P in a 12V setup.

Forget what you read in the books and do the experiment.

Besides, the manufacturer that rated Max PV input of 12/24V PWM to be 50V isn't stupid
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojesymsym: 5:56pm On Oct 14, 2019
I am not sure connecting it in series is good advise. Not when your charge controller is a pwm.
Topmost11:
Thanks.
I have a question. If I connect the panels in series, it becomes 24v which the cc can accommodate. But my inverter is 12v.
If 24v enters the cc, will the cc change it to 12v that is the inverter intake?

My understanding is that since my inverter is 12v, I must ensure everything stays 12v. So no series connection as that is adding voltage.

I ask this question because I have another 600watts(150watts×4) panels wired in parallel to a 12v/24v 60a pwm cc because of my 12v inverter.

So will 24v(12v+12v series string connection) inputed to 12v/24v convert and output as12v for 12v inverter?
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojesymsym: 5:52pm On Oct 14, 2019
Are you sure of this your number 2? We are dealing with a pwm charge controller and not an mppt.

I think you are wrong. If they are 2 panels and the system voltage is 12v the panels have to be connected in parallel not series.

SolnergyPower:
1. Solar charge controllers operate in a range to voltage to charge batteries. That's why the current produced at different times during the day from the panels is not even. Most PWM solar charge controllers rated 12/24V can take up to 50V from the solar panels.

2. You can connect two panels of that your 17.5V in series to your CC and it'll still work very fine.

Autos › Questions For Car Importer Experts by ojesymsym(op): 10:20am On Oct 10, 2019
An US based automobile agency I did some work for requested my input on the automobile industry in Nigeria with regards to importing 2nd hand cars into Nigeria. As this is not really an industry I understand in details other than the basics, I am hoping that some people who have the expertise can respond to the queries as outlined below.

In 2017, an Import Tax to protect local production was introduced. Is this tax still in place and if so, who much?

• I have read that used import cars may not be older than 8 years; is this true?

• The import car market must be served by many dealers of various sizes. Is it possible to classify them into categories, like I am outlining?

- Micro Dealers, with 1 to 10 cars

- Dealers with 11 to 50 cars in inventory

- Larger Dealers, capable of importing directly from foreign markets

• Is it possible to identify dealers of the 2nd category, that are not in a position to import cars directly?

• Where do these type of dealers get their cars from? Wholesale Importers, or…?

Thanks in advance.

Okay. Thanks.

the article contains the whole process how it is done in the developed world.
maybe you have to read toward the end of the page.
care is taken during the harvesting stage, then they are washed with chlorinated water, in some Cases they are made to go through UV light I don't if this is applicable to tomatoes but I it is use in some fruit sterilization then they are stored in a unique temperature depending on their state of ripeness.

and yes there are automated process for that, but its money intensive other fruit and vegetables can be preserve in similar way.
if I have the time I will look video link and attach

Maybe I'd have to go through it again. I was thinking of a more practical way, maybe an equipment or something. Or how a particular country does it. I am thinking we allow too many items to waste between farm and market.
