You cant lodge any complain during the exam cos it will make no effect since you deliberately omit Maths during your registration. Use the "new choice of course" option when registering for the Post-UTME and that will rectify it.

UNILORIN started Pharmacy last session though it is not in JAMB Brochure then but it is online during the Post-UTME registration. People are just hyping this issue of catchment maybe becos of their "admission fear". People from other states have a good chance of being admitted. You need not falsefully claim a state becos of admission. My two cents anyway.

Having two sittings is not a problem cos I know quite a number of ppl who had it and were admitted.

I do not know much about Info and Comm Tech Dept. Though if the competition is low, you have a better chance of being admitted even with average performance in UTME and Post-UTME. Few examples will suffice. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine commenced operations last session with 7 students. The faculty officer said those 7 were the only ones who apllied for that faculty both in UTME and Post-UTME and all of them were considered and admitted. When the Department of Telecommunication Science (CIS) started last two sessions (09/10), 11 students were admitted and the reason is probably not different from that of Vet Medicine.

Though there may be some preference for Kwara citizens as Kwara is under the catchment area of UNILORIN and also the host community, this may not account for Kwaran domination of the school. It should be noted that majority of applicants are always from Kwara which gives the state a considerable portion on the admission list. Being from Kwara does not guarantee you a slot on the admission list and being a "foreigner" does not take away your chances of being admitted. Concentrate more on your UTME and Post-UTME and get better results so you can lay claim to merit when you cannot claim being an indigene.

I'm afraid Bus Admin is impossible without Maths in UTME. Even if your name luckily gets into the admission list, you cannot scale through the screening exercise and may be moved to a dept you never liked. The link below states that Bus Admin requirements for UTME include English Lang, Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subjects. You may go for the core Social Sciences (Geography & Environmental Management, Political Science, and Sociology) when registering for your Post-UTME cos they do not require Maths in UTME.

Unilorin do admit students from states other than their catchment area though their catchment area (especially Kwara and Kogi) takes prominence. About 7 out of 10 students in my class came from those 2 states (both real and claimed).
