ijigaparadox: Jonathan never crushed Ebola Virus. Fashola did crushed the deadly virus... The federal government were sleeping just like it slept when boko haram started very small and grew so deadly under its nose. Fashola and the Lagos state government should be given credit. When the federal govt saw how hardworking the Lagos state govt was, it jumped in when the work was almost done by the Lagos govt. Now he is claiming the glory. If not for Fashola, you reading this may have been contaminated by Ebola. Vote Jonathan out. He is not worth it as my Bishop (Okojie) has seen clearly into Nigeria's future as it is not safe in GEJ's hands... When he had bokoharam to fight, what did he do? Fashola would have ended bokoharam before all the innocent Nigerians lost their dear lives. May their gentle souls rest in the Bosom of our Lord, Jesus Christ.... Cheers. You are just an an incurable hater. Ebola was crushed with a joint effort between Lagos state and Federal Govt. And if the president says "we"crushed Ebola, he was talking as the president of the Fed Republic of Nigeria. He's also the president of Fashola. And concerning Boko haram, you are too naive. What was the US doing when planes were hijacked to blow up the twin towers? What were they doing when Pentagon was attacked by the same hijackers? Terrorism is alien to Nigeria and it requires meticulous plans and actions to nip it in the bud. If what your brain is insinuating had been applied, Nigeria would have been a goner. |
kennydee05: GEJ those who are against you are far more than those who are with you. Thank you. Your head dey there. |
folahann: You will crush them? What the hell have you been waiting for over 3 years after spending N973Billion on defence and still needing $1billion loan. Go and google how much the United States is spending in fighting against local and international terrorism and how long it took them to kill Osama. Shekau was gunned down in just three years. |
wittytezzy: In other news, no matter what great vision you may have for your dear country, APC has just told you - without 27mills, man - you can go to hell #OMaSheyOAnd some are shouting "change". I can't just stop laughing. |
Truckpusher: Of course he's already crushing them .Just that some quarters and a particular political party in this country that enjoys the political relevance that Boko Haram menace gives them are not happy that the monster called 'boko haram' will soon put them out of business till 2019. Thank you for the positive reasoning. |
donphilopus: Dude, you're bereft of ideas. If you think there's anytime Buhari would ever buy the form with his cash, then you're truly bereft of ideas. People are always there to support the people's General. And the "people's General will cover them up if found guilty of corruption as he allegedly did when protecting his stepfather found with 10 briefcases of dollars in 1985. I am just asking though. |
kristisking: Yes crush them and APC will bury their heads in shame.Mr President you have talked but you need to back it up with actions.I'm very optimistic that the insurgency will soon be a thing of the past. Thank you and God bless. |
kennydee05: So what has been happening since all these while. Zombie. Follow-follow. $40billion, $20billion, $10billion missing, Deziani is corrupt, Stella Oduah is corrupt, Oronsanye has stolen uncountable billions, GEJ is protecting looters and now, $9.3 million is been laundered in SA. Always gullible believing anything and crucifying everyone. Very soon you and your likes will be given the highest honour alongside Prof. Soyinka who never see anything good in a setting govt. Association of blind critics. Always happy bringing others down. |
Estimable: Same Old speech Oga Jonah...................... Yes, same old speech to your half stiffened ears and blind eyes. At least you must have been told or heared that Shekau has been killed. |
Genes1s: Who is fooling who?? The same boko haram he could not crush since ao many years ago? You are the one fooling yourself. Has the US crushed Alqaeda in Afghanistan and Iraq? Dundee United. |
Chinaimporter: May your oral cavity assume a permanent deformity for voicing derogations to a revered personality.so many fo ols online thinking they have discovered one wonderful thing.opinion nowadays have become so cheap since every fool can now express them esp those from THE WEST that got free substandard education. Seconded. |
uken73: Yes BH is already getting crushed. Are you surprised my friend? Please don't be. The stark truth is that there are so many on nairaland who are saddened and unhappy that the Federal Govt under the auspices of GEJ is crushing Boko Haram. And if insurgency is finally exterminated in Nigeria, what will be their major selling point to call the president clueless? There are two forces controlling the earth, forces of darkness and those of light and everyman or woman belongs to either of them. The same applies to nairaland. |
uken73: Yes BH is already getting crushed. Are you surprised about their comments? Don't be my friend. The truth is that there are many on nairaland who are saddened and unhappy that the Federal Govt under the leadership of GEJ is crushing Boko haram. And if insurgency is finally exterminated in the country, what will be their major selling point? There are two major forces controlling the earth, forces of darkness and those of light and everyman or woman belongs to either of both. The same applies to nairaland! |
HisSexcellency: Ok, he wants to crush them now with just four months to election. And if i may ask, which of the boko haram - the political boko haram that have members even in his cabinet or the militant boko haram led by shekau? Those political Boko haram members were the one time rebels who almost split PDP into two and they are now in APC |
aby1976: The president are we fools? Na wa oo. Even if u ve said it increased by 50% I wouldn't have taken it because I believed it's increased by 150%. Come out of the Aso rock. Go to states. Check under their bridges u will see nigerians living there. Even Garri and groundnut that people were living on b4 how many of us can aford it again? Don't worry u will win in 2015 as some fools are ready to return u. But I have one revelation for them 'nigerians will suffer more'. I know u will still take the fuel price to N150 under d guise of surep.prices of things will shoot up. Chai. I pray u don't get relected Mr. president. Amnt a party man. I don't care if it's pdp that will bring a president that will adress our suffering. Just know that there is God oo. I rest my case Are you attributing those menaces to GEJ and his government? You must be an unfair citizen. Were people not living under the bridge before the reintroduction of democracy in 1999? Was there no corruption in Nigeria before GEJ became president? Unfortunately, those problems will be there until the end of this world. It's not a curse but stark reality. In Nigeria, people can afford to spend N2,000 at a go on beers, lavish the little they have on Aso Ebi and naming ceremonies. But when it comes to assigning a small portion of their income on establishing small trades, it becomes a taboo. We know ourselves in this country. We are a people who don't want to contribute to nation's wealth but constantly expect the nation to spoon feed us! Citizens waiting for GEJ or any other leader to eradicate poverty in Nigeria are on a long thing. |
declaro: I'm not a friend of any politician at all, but he tried on the Agricultural low interest rates for farmers. I really love that much more than given low interest rates for traders that will only use the money to import finished products into the country instead of going into productions that will create more jobs and increase our economy. Agricultural sector is what will develop the forgotten ruler areas and extinguish hunger in Nigeria. It is very important for the youths to create jobs for themselves from this forgotten and untapped sector. Farming is good for graduates and undergraduates. I want to see Nigerians exporting made in Nigeria foods and agricultural products. Europeans have may phd holders in farming and one can become extremely rich from farming. May your days be long in peace and truth. |
gidjah: FROM AREAS like asokoro, maitama, and wuse of course,if u happen to reside in one this areas u will not want to believe that there is poverty in d land That's incorrect. Those living in those areas had at one time lived in rural settings. National surveys are nationwide. |
Justcash: GEJ may have exaggerated, but we need to ask ourselves some very important questions before burying him for this statement; Unreservedly seconded. |
pascyj: I agree they finally did Benin-Ofosu road. Took 15years. At that rate, they'll get the road to Lagos by 2100.That's all.Keep clapping. Focus on the lies.Jonathan/Pdp has increased poverty and destroyed the politicosocioeconomic life of Nigerians. The truth, that's it.The corruption in government determine the corruption in other spheres. It's simple sociology. If your father is thief, you'll most likely be a thief because you take after him, because he cannot morally or legally caution you. And the corruption in gej's time is oozing even from his mien. That's not true. Corruption in the private sector is not an offshoot of what entails in the government circle. Rather, it's the opposite. Do you know that many of our politicians had been in private practice in one way or the other before delving into politics. The Tinubus, Fasholas, Akpabios were all seasoned entrepreneurs before taking politics as bigger business. Do you remember the Sarakis and the Societe Generale Bank episode? That is what many of the politicians imported from their respective business worlds. GEJ can only try his best. Whoever tries to bend the iron of corruption in Nigeria might end up breaking his own spine and still end up not bending the iron! It's very very complicated. |
pascyj: If your supposed accurate "performing" president can knowingly accurately misrepresent info to score cheap points,it shows the man we've known he is. A great lack of integrity, a corrupt supporterof corrupt people who presupposes that the crumbs from their/his table fall to the poor masses. Poverty is in fact increasing by 99% as his pdp steal and wreck the country since 1999.Does who are involved always believe it's getting to everyone.A massive investment in electricity that has failed to trickle down since Obj.This is failed economics. The investment monies go to politicians not the 100 million struggling Nigerian poor masses. You'll not agree with me the monies follow the wind abroad. Not all are ignorant as you. I am not ignorant my friend. It's just that I refuse to team up with hardened critics who never see a ray of improvement in almost every strata of our society. What are the impetus for poverty reduction? Good roads, improved electricity, functional rail system. modern irrigation for agric production and favourable economic policies-all these are not in dearth in this administration. Now to corruption. Do you know one thing? Many of us are so delusional believing that corruption is only prevalent in government circles . My friend, corruption is in every fabric of any Nigerian family! That's the painful truth. I have worked as an external auditor and I can confirm to you that Nigeria is a haven for corruption both in the private and public sectors. The problem is our penchant for pointing accusing fingers at politicians without doing a self appraisal of our atrocious activities in places of work and worship centres. You might not agree with me, virtually all Nigerians are corrupt. |
gratieao: http://www.punchng.com/news/weve-reduced-poverty-by-50-jonathan/The president's rating might not be far from the reality. Whether 50% or less, the most important thing is the fact that Nigeria has moved forward from its poverty level some years back. One mistake almost everybody on this thread seems to be making is thinking that the govt is responsible for bringing food to the table of all citizens. No govt, I repeat, no govt can single handedly eradicate poverty from the land! If this is not so, why do they have homeless people in the US? Why do they have street beggars whistling for arms on the street of New York? The best any govt can do to minimise poverty is to create the enabling environment for the citizens to be self engaged and self sufficient and GEJ is truly working towards that. In Nigeria, with massive investment in Electricity sector, it's just a matter of time before artisans, manufacturers and other corporate bodies begin to operate at optimal levels. In the area of agriculture, this administration has indeed reduced poverty level through agric subsidies and loans to rural farmers. All these and many more may have informed the President's assertion. But most importantly, we must remove the toga of believing that governments all over the world have all it takes to eradicate poverty. It's impossible till the end of ages. |
millionaireman: Friend, the march to Islamize Nigeria is what Boko is all about, and the march started from northeast. Resistance from forces against the march is why the war has concentrated in northeast. Henceforth I stop replying yu cos you do not seem to understand what is behind the conflageration in northeast of Nigeria. Thank you. It's amusing there are still people who believe northerners are killing themselves! What Boko haram is doing is systematic religious cleansing. Most of the areas been attacked are predominantly christian dominated and that's what they set out to achieve. Their mission is two-facet; to Islamise Nigeria using the northeast as a starting point and in the process, make the entire country ungovernable for the sitting president. The few Muslims who were caught in the onslaughts were the ones seen as obstacles to the realisation of their objectives and that explain why majority of northern elders had been either pro-boko haram or sitting on the fence. |
millionaireman: I have never held the belief that APC sponsors Boko Haram, but sure, APC PROFITS FROM Boko Haram violence; furthermore, people whose public statements and actions are in sympathy with the cause of Boko Haram - sharia-governed Nigeria - are in top level mostly in APC. I shall not insult you back because I am not of the garbage class. God bless you. |
patrickmuf: you are a fool That goes back to the people that wasted their resources in bringing up a nobrainer which you are. |
Pataki: Another accursed ediot who thinks he knows better on how to defend the dunce he calls his president. I did not intend to tame a wild and lost animal like you in my post. But let it sink into your deluded brain that the president, even in his clueless state is better than your parents and your entire generations. Fasten your seatbelt for a long journey all the way to 2019 after which you can jump into the nearest lagoon. |
true45: I only have a few thing to say all the comments before me. God bless you. Many thanks for been a patriotic and reasonable Nigerian. As for the unrepentant GEJ abusers, may God Almighty reward them in multiple folds now and in their future. |
true45: I only have a few thing to say all the comments before me. |
patrickmuf: I hate when I hear the President talking like a road side mechanic, at least he should be factual for once and stop displaying his incompetence whenever and wherever an opportunity presents itself... So you think the president was speaking without been briefed by relevant agencies involved? You are half brain dead. |
HugeCock: First he says he knows who d sponsors are, later he says the sponsors are in his government. Now he's sayin boko haram is funded outside nigeria? Da f**k is wrong with this guy? You are just like Lai Mohammed, your mentor. At no time did the president say he knows who the sponsors are. He has always promised to unearth the sponsors wherever they are. Stop telling lies on nairaland. |
Pataki: This dunce of a President spews his foolishness again. So it is no longer that Boko Haram sponsors are in his government using Pastor Ayotallah OLEJAFOR's private jet to be buying weapons for Boko Haram? Can you see your life? Sometimes it's unnecessary to join issues with retarded brains like you on nairaland but for posterity sake, it's important to bring you to where you truly belong. The president in his briefing said Boko haram is LARGELY funded from abroad. The underlining word is largely. Does largely mean wholly or entirely in English? It's is evident that many of you that call the president unprintable names are either educated but illiterate, or perhaps your defective upbringing and parental failures had contributed to why you have become a waste to your generation and the nation as a whole. In a nutshell, most of you are the real clueless, dumb and intellectually deformed for been unable to dissect a common statement issued in the simplest English. |
berem: So Tinubu, Buhari, El-Rufai and APC are not funding Boko Haram? You must indeed be a dullard. Did you bother to read the President's statement at all? He said Boko haram is largely funded outside Nigeria, does that rule out part internal financing? This is how you fail in common English comprehension exams. Talking for the sake of talking! |
Ibnsultan: Jonathan is indeed clueless & dumb. It's your father and mother who are clueless, dumb and senile. What is the relationship between Boko haram been deemed to be in Jonathan's govt and the president saying they are largely funded from outside Nigeria? Whatever they spent on your education and upbringing is a waste. |
