vedaxcool:Nobody seems to pick anything reasonable from your post, why are you so incoherent? Gosh! |
drss2:Fact! |
focus7:There's nothing like been economical with the truth here. Though Obasanjo deserves some credit for establishing the EFCC, no one can dispute how he used the antigraft agency to chase down his perceived political foes. If you doubt this, pls google Atiku's reply to El Rufai on his corruption allegations. Moreover, don't be deceived by these rethoric of "corruption fighting back". It's Buhari's vindictiveness and selective justice that's hitting back at him. As long as he continues to embark on predetermined graft assaults against a particular set of people, he's bound to be hounded by law of nature. |
BUHARIISCURSED:I thought our mumu don do after seeing the bareface deceits displayed by APC in the last 18 months. Some Nigerians behave as if they're under APC curse. |
naijaking1:In the annals of our history as a nation, there was no time a govt deployed all its energy in prosecuting alleged graft offenders on pages of newspapers and using same to coverup its apparent inefficiencies. |
A frontline social commentator, Dr Peregrino Brimah, has advised Nigerians to focus their attention on President Muhammadu Buhari’s health status describing $9.8 million loot recovered from ex-NNPC GMD Andrew Yakubu as a distraction planted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to divert attention from Buhari. Brimah, who made the comment in a statement he signed and issued, said going by the multi-faceted nature of the challenges rocking the nation’s economy, the most pressing challenge facing the country is health status of the president whom he previously described as the Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria. He also berated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as being a tool in the hands of the APC and distracting Nigerians whenever public attention is focused on the perceived weakness of the Buhari administration. According to him, the anti-graft agency has been a political machine for persecuting perceived political foes, leaving out similarly indicted Presidency officers, ministers, heads of security agencies, and other ruling party men. He said: “It’s gotten quite noticeable that whenever Buhari or his government is “down” the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is “up.”“Once there are major headlines that cast the Buhari government in bad light, the EFCC takes over the headlines with updates on its activities against the corruption of the Jonathan past administration with predilection for PDP party members, their families and associates who did not switch to the ruling APC party. “Interestingly a Vanguard article exposed the time-staging of the EFCC releases that September. The September 24, 2016 article was captioned, “$31.4m Cash Deposit: How Patience Jonathan forced EFCC to expose matter,” and had highlights “EFFC had knowledge of fund since July” and “Why action was not taken earlier.”“ And now again as the scandal over president Muhammadu Buhari’s sickness or “hale-and-hearty” lack of it, in-spite-of his absconding to the UK, makes headlines and as Nigerians begin to protest against the government, the EFCC is “Up” again.“3 days after Buhari failed to resume work following his 18-day vacation to the Queen’s England, February 9th, 2016 saw headlines: “EFCC raids home of former NNPC GMD, Andrew Yakubu, recovers$9.2m.”“ These have rapidly been followed up with more headlines in the same class; February 11, 2017: “EFCC in another breakthrough discovers $37.5m in Diezani’s Lagos mansion,” and we can expect many more to come, back-to-back with the EFCC reliably keeping Nigerians conveniently distracted as the economy is wrecked and the Commander in chief “absconds. ”“Perhaps it’s just a coincidence; but most importantly, we will not be distracted by headlines of the EFCC doing its job the way Obasanjo set it up to: as a political machine against foe and the perceived opposition, leaving out similarly indicted Presidency officers, ministers, heads of security agencies, and other ruling party men. http://dailypost.ng/2017/02/11/buhari-apc-uses-stories-loot-recoveries-divert-nigerians-attention-brimah/ |
It's just a matter of time before Lai Mohammed meets his waterloo. Witches revel in evil until the day of reckoning when heavenly forces compel them to confess. His master has been scamming the nation, contesting for the presidency for 12 years and putting himself forward as a man of "integrity". Today, not only has he become a monumental failure under 19 months, all the lies he told about subsidy removal, devaluation of currency, moderate lifestyle, religious tolerance, prudence(including medical tourism) are all staring him in the face. All I can say is; ride on Lai Mohammed. |
focus7:And I can conveniently conclude at this juncture that your stupidity is second to none. Don't ever swerve to my lane again. Ok! |
focus7:Can you just stop this rigmarole and face the reality for once? Do you think Jankara economics was responsible for maintaining consecutive growths for a long period in the last adminstration despite the "monumental corruption" been brandished on pages of newspapers by Buhari and his deceitful govt? How much was the oil price on assumption of office by GEJ and how much was it traded in 2015 when he left the office? Besides, who told you that plummeting oil revenue was the major causative factor for this recession? Was it corruption and dwindling oil price that gave rise to the recession experienced under Buhari in 1984 during his stint as a junta? Where did Buhari source the billions of naira expended on his campaign in 2015? Why did he have to doll out billions of our hard earned money to compensate governors who funded his campaign under the excuse of bailout instead of injecting the fund into the manufacturing sector to boost the GDP thereby throwing the country into unnecessary recession? How much is currently been stolen under your savour (Buhari) who knows next to nothing about governance? Let Buhari, Tinubu, Fashola, Ameachi swear by their lives and those of their children that no kobo was stolen by them when they held various elective and appointive posts. Quote me in future, by the time the lid is opened on Buhari's corruption, it would be a child's play compared to the so-called corruption under GEJ. If you're fooled, I am not. |
focus7:When will you people stop deceiving yourselves and face the blunt truth? Buhari's lopsided policies and naivety led to the recession and nothing else. Novices shouldn't be seen in the terrain of economic management. An Okonjo Iweala would not open her eyes and allow the country to slide into recession. Stop making excuse for a clueless govt, please. |
demolinka:You're as good as dead if APC rules this country for 16 years. |
It's only in Nigeria where imperialists and corruption personified individuals would open their mouths to talk about the rot in any society. Can Tinubu tell Nigerians how much he and his cronies embezzled in Lagos? Do the infrastructures on ground commensurate with trillions of Naira came into the coffers of Lagos Treasury in the last 16 years? With which business did he finance acquisition of his jet and mansions? Why is it that confirmed thieves are the ones that are fond of raising unnecessary dusts about PDP's 16-year rule? |
Hope those "StandingWithBuhari" can now have a field day and continue to stand until $1 becomes N600. As for Mbaka, I don't know why people like him still make headlines, only his gullible followers and those with impaired conscience take him serious. |
There's no point wasting time on Lai Mohammed because the man himself knows how deceitful he is. Here are three of his numerous lies: 1. He lied that Alimodu Sheriff was on entourage to Chad with GEJ but it turned out to be false. 2. He over-bloated the total amount recovered from the so-called looters just to score cheap points in the rundown to Buhari's first 100 days in office. The figure released by DG of Budget, Mr. Akabueze just last week was far less than what Lai Mohammed reeled out many months ago. 3. He lied that Rabiu Kwankwasso's plane was prevented from landing in Ekiti during the election campaigns but the man was busy holding rally in Kano at the time. |
mapet:Don't quote me again if you don't have your facts. Lai Mohammed claimed the sum of N78b (and $3million) had been recovered whereas the DG of Budget, Akabueze told us last week that N72b was the amount recovered so far. |
kayzat:Do you have problem understanding simple English? Was being at a meeting the same as being on entourage with GEJ to Chad? |
kayzat:There's no point wasting time on Lai Mohammed because the man himself knows how deceitful he is. Let me just give you three of his numerous lies: 1. I don't understand why some people are just unrepentantly wicked and hypocritical. In a saner clime, Lauretta shouldn't be seen talking in public let alone working as image maker in an APC government. She and other satanic, educated but illiterate elements offered themselves as willing tools to undermine the last administration and enthrone this incompetent ,hateful and good-for-nothing govt. |
Trouble left, right and center (in fact from all cardinal points) just for one man. I beg make una leave Buhari alone na. |
Ngenekwenu, Sarki and other Buharists would simply vanish like vapour from this thread. I just don't know why Buhari likes courting trouble and starting a battle he can't win. WHY? |
Now, that's the true meaning of integrity; implementing every line of your party manifesto without mischief and prejudice. Not only did our own Mr. Integrity make a fake Asset Declaration, he failed to persuade his saintly ministers to declare theirs as he promised. Here, we use both insecticides and perfume (body spray) to "fight" corruption depending on who's involved. |
Orikinla1:OP, did the PDP ever complain about the mess left behind by the military in 1998? Some of you just lack commonsense. |
I thought some APC stalwarts once said only the wailers are complaining of hunger in the land. Very soon, the revolt will start from Blantyre Street. |
The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned its staff at the party’s secretariat to stop soliciting for money from visitors. Party leaders issued the warning at a closed-door meeting yesterday with the staff working at its national headquarters at Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja. Vowing to punish anyone caught in the act, sources at the meeting said the attitude had become a source of embarrassment for the party leaders who usually received key political figures, foreign diplomats, and businessmen. “The party leadership has warned us not to run after politicians for money again,” a source told Daily Trust. “They said they are not happy with the unruly conduct of some of our people herewhenever some gift is given by any visitor to the secretariat,” the source added. Meanwhile,APC said it was working on a new constitutionahead of its national convention fixed for April. APC noted that the constitution will check internal opposition, usher in a reconstituted Board of Trustees (BoT) as well as deal with those who derailed the plan to have its preferred candidates elected as principal officers of the National Assembly. http://dailypost.ng/2017/01/27/stop-begging-visitors-money-apc-warns-staff/ |
What a wonderful world! Someone was hated, vilified and kicked out of power in 2015, yet he has become the chief cornerstone in 2017 while the other who was so much coveted ,loved, packaged and repackaged in the same year has now become a reject in 2017. Don't seek for power but seek for service. |
But someone at Aso Rock often tell his audience both home and abroad that no infrastructure was put in place during PDP's 16-year reign. Lying can sometimes be repugnant but it becomes poisonous and infective when repeated so often by an elderly man. |
onnenka:You made me laugh in Swahili this morning. The conscience of this nation is gradually finding a resting place in the garbage. |
onnenka:Yes, they're negotiating with the same people that waste Nigerians almost on daily basis through suicide bombing. Nigeria I hail thee. |
BrokenTV:APC and their jingoists don't seem to know it but time would tell. |
dannybomb:So, the Chibok Girls' issue is no more urgent now that power has changed hands? |
dikeigbo2:Don't try that man, you can never find him wanting. However, I think he has a good match in Oby Ezekwesili. |
drss2:A great lesson to the whole nation. Evil does not pay. |
