A saint plays politics with the lives of innocent people right? You're demented. God will surely judge you and your evil clan. Woe betide you and your entire family. Why can't you advise your household to enlist in the army to fight insurgency? You are crazy. Was it Jonathan that directed military chiefs who are mostly northerners to delay the fight against Boko haram till election period? May your evil thoughts lead you to eternal damnation. Bastard. |

Lagos is not Niger Delta
You will learn more about Lagos after the elections What's a shallow brain like you expecting the president to learn about Lagos? Are you so senile to remember that Jonathan won Lagos in the last election with Landslide? Have you also forgotten that he equally beat Fashola and Tinubu black and blue in their respective polling booths and wards? Instead of tackling the message, you're entangled with vilifying the messenger. Is Lagos not under the bondage and oppression of Tinubu and Fashola? March 28 and April 11 will open your eyes to see how Lagosians are disenchanted with APC. |

Here he goes again. Dele Momodu, a serial presidential election loser who could only amass votes from his clan and family members. Dele Momodu should first of all showcase his political credential before coming out to spit garbage on the likely outcome of any election in Nigeria. For someone who failed to ride on the popularity and image of the late Gani Fawehinmi's NCP to make strong statement in Nigerian political landscape, it negates all sensibility for such an individual to be listened to. Dele Momodu has not leant from history, this informs his blind prediction on who's the likely winner or looser of the forthcoming presidential election. Prior to Ekiti election, the media world was awash with predictions of Fayemi emerging victorious. His campaign rallies were filled to the brim and this prompted some arm-chair pundits like Dele Momodu to even predict his landslide victory! The rest is now history. It turned out to be a mismatch where the favourite was pounded and pummeled to a 16-0 annihilation. Dele Momodu should be told that neither social media nor perceptions win elections. Rather those who determines the winner or loser are market men and women, farmers, artisans and discerning youths who mostly, are not swayed by TV or social media rants. |

Oklander: Touching! Before any re.tar.ded TANoid starts denying the story and claiming its to discredit Jonathan, notice that he didn't really blame the government for his dissertation but corrupt, careless and incompetent commanders! Although they are still the product of the clueless government. You are the one that's absurdly foolish. If the account of this deserting soldier is the true picture, then no soldier would still be in the battle field. You are one of the gullibles who fall for anything in the name of propaganda. We have watched documentaries on wars in which solders loose lives because of ammunition exhaustion and Nigeria's case should not be an exception. This soldier had had his mind focused on foreign operation which attracts many largesse but felt utterly disappointed when redeployed for Boko haram battle, obviously he was not ready for any internal military assignment. The Army is not meant for soldiers who complain of jollof rice, it's not a profession for those who wants to be rich like politicians. We salute the courage, patriotism and resilience of our loyal Armed Forces. |

Until we went to Russia and Ukraine, which U.S has no power over.. Nigeria couldn't secure some weapons to combat the hi-tech weapons of BH.
Secondly, in the last 6 yrs.. Neither border nations joined the fight.. Now we have Chad, Niger, Cameron and A.U in this fight.

light004: I'm really shocked by some of the comments posted here. What's wrong is wrong and the truth will remain what it's despite the personality or circumstance. We must learn to focus on the issues and not personalities. Whether, it's buhari or jonathan we must be ready to stand up for the truth and be bold enough to confront falsehood wherever its comes. If a false report is out there whether on Jonathan or Buhari, we must come together and condemn such. Truly what goes around, comes around and we need to be very careful. Nothing can turn a lie into a truth and Sahara reporters has failed to stand up for what they vehemently condemn in others. The publication stinks to high heaven in term of deliberate falsehood and malicious reportage to tarnish the reputable of many individuals. The impact of their reportage on the country is worse, the destruction to our hard earn reputation as a nation cannot be estimated. They have lost all sense of professionalism and reduced journalism to speculation, hearsay and sensationalism. They have thrown ethics to the rubbish bins that no individual with high moral standing can allow itself to be associated with such low life junk publication outfit. This issue is beyond the govt of today, the opposition or coming election. Kindly, take an objective review of their online publications and find out the main motive for such publications. Is it for the upliftment of the society or destruction? or Is it to promote harmony among the people or set them against one another? I implore you to take a critical review of their publications. The main purpose of Journalism is the dissemination of information in an unbaised and professional manner for the well-being and development of the society. But, sahara's main purpose is simply to incite the people through misinformation, lies, speculations and propaganda. They come across as a group filled with hate and animosity. Please let be guided by justice, equity and fair play. Sahara cannot stand the test of time; it was build on lies and falsehood and will aso crumble with its originators and sponsors. Thank you. doctokwus: First point:all the elaborate and deliberate attempt to be seen by all the people Omokri claimed to have sighted him that day gives one an impression he was deliberately trying to create an alibi, while the deed was being done. Second point: That linda ikeji blog and so called naij blog are now way ahead of sahara reporters is childish tantrum best suited for the waste bin. SR may not totally be accurate in its reports, but it remains one of the topmost news sites out there with increasing patronage and access to topmost news. Reno Omokri is not even fit to be making any claims of factuality against a reliable medium like SR because he has been shown severally to be a serial liar and identity theft culprit. It's not totally out of place for Satan to have his adent followers but what is worrisome is when those followers pretend to be angels. In the light of this, one wonders how anybody in his right sense would still see Sahara Reporters as a respectable site when its activities in recent times have been nothing but deceits, mischief, subversion of truth, promotion of Boko haram, character assasination, despise of the military and other institutions, heating up of the polity and promotion of opposition agenda. In trying to play down Omokri's explanaton on his itenary on the day of the crime, you trumped up a possible alibi. You are wrong on this because SR indeed said he was physically present at the scene. So why are you trying to project an online medium that's fast loosing its popularity and respect? |

bushdoc9919: Army or Police?
Infact I have a question.....why can't we use the police for elections?
Because in fifteen years of PDP rule...the Police has not been properly funded. Recall that it took Channels TV to make the govt renovate the Police College, in Ikeja.(and having seen police colleges abroad...our own college is a mess).
The Police is in a mess. By asking for the Army to maintain peace in this elections....the govt over the years(because this is not the first time BTW)...has admitted that the Police has failed.
High time, I think that the National Assembly increased funding for the Police. Infact....forget about State Police....our National Police is on life support! If the Police and Civil Defence cannot maintain security when the Army is otherwise occupied....what do we have a Police force and the Civil Defence for?
Abuja better step up and improve the police. You are wrong. It was the military under Buhari and IBB that messed up the police just to prevent the force from rubbing shoulders with them. Without sounding partisan, the Nigerian police has witnessed appreciable facelift under the democratic dispensation. They may not be at par with their counterparts in developed nations, but surely, there's an improvement. |
