Good evening all,

Please, it was written at the top of my wife's ECA (from WES) that "The names on one or more of the academic credentials submitted for evaluation differ from the name indicated above".

I just want to be double-sure, and I have 2 questions:

(i) I Hope that the "mismatch" in the surnames does not matter for a married woman. Since she has done change of name due to marriage (surname).

(ii) She used a middle name (A) in her ATA and ICAN certificates and used a different middle name (B) in her B.Sc. certificate. The middle name in her B.Sc. is preferred and the same in all other documents (including her passport). She has already done a change of name (the middle name); an affidavit and newspaper publication to that effect has been done and ICAN has been notified and accepted, but new certificate/credentials can not be issued. Will this constitute a problem at any point? Since she needs the ATA to claim two or more certificates.

Thank you for your time and response to this

Good day,

Please, I have a question:

For previous work in Nigeria (2015 to 2018) without tax or pension payment, is it possible to make the tax payment now (in arrears) in order to be able to obtain a tax clearance certificate for those periods?
Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thank you.

You are not expected to be receiving this amount per annum at the time of your nomination/application - you will be assessed for future potential to earn this much. So, your current job and position, qualifications (especially MSc and PhD), innovative talents, international recognition/awards in your field, publications etc can be evaluated to meet the threshold.
This is interesting. I heard of AU Global talent for the first time today and I started researching immediately. Initially, I thought I am totally out, but it seems you know much about that @aduktus. I have seen some of your previous posts on Global Talent..... Please, check if I have a chance and advise me based on the data below.

Please, how many years of work experience is required for this: could you provide me with the datils of the required work experience?

Thanks for your response.

That is not even the issue. A NIMC official has helped her to check. The data on NIN is correct.

A NIS official also checked and told her that the remaining thing is for Abuja to confirm her change. He showed her the page and what they wrote there is that there is mismatch in surname.
NIN has change to her new surname while NIS has not. She still has her former surname in NIS.
And that is why she applied for a change (due to marriage).

We still don't know what to do or how long it will take NIS to change her surname

You can add all the documents and prepare your application as if you want to assess the Phd as well.
You won’t know if you don’t try.

Hello guys.

Please I am filling WES (ECA) for my wife.
She changed her middle name after gotten a AAT certicate. Should be fill in the name as it appears on the certificate in WES form?
She has applied for change of the middle name in ICAN and that has been approved. But the certificates (both AAT and ICAN) can not be reissued. They only issued a letter to support.

Should we fill the name exactly as it appears on her certificate (with the old middle name) or use the new middle name?
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by olig(m): 10:34am On Feb 12, 2023
tunlex01:
1. IELTS is not required for Vetassess assessment however that is required for nomination/visa application.
2. Nope except you are working during that period and getting paid as a geologist

Vetassess assessed past 10 years but requires that you have an experience that is current (which must be within the last 5 years - technically February 2018). In your case, your experience ended in October 2018. So that means you are eligible. After October 2018, you will not be eligible for assessment.
Thank you for your time and response @ tunlex01. God bless you.

My PhD was on scholarship (from DAAD, in Germany), not employment. I don't have payslips or employment letter. Only scholarship award letter and stipends is paid monthly into my account. Though my supervisor can give support/reference letter, but I guess that won't still count.
I guess I have to act fast and start now before I dont have any leverage left in term of employment.

Please, any suggestion on the visa category and maybe province/region to look out consider?

naijainstinct:
If you both ace IELTS with 8.5,8.0,7.5,7.5 in LRSW respectively and your wife as PA, your CRS score is 477.

If your wife score the above in IELTS and you manage to score 8,7,7,7 in LRSW, your CRS remains the same and if you score 8,7,6.5,6.5 with your wife acing IELTS still, your CRS is 473.

Again, wife getting 8.5,8,7,7.5 and you also getting 8,7,7,7 will give you 474 and finally wife getting 8.5,8,7,7 and you 8,7,7,7 will bring you to 471.

Summary:
1. Wife must be PA because your score will drop to 450s with you as the PA even if you both ace IELTS.

2. Wife must strive to score a minimum of 8.5,8,7,7 in LRSW respectively to remain in the 470s. It is best to aim for 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 though to claim the maximum available points for language proficiency.

3. It is important that you complement your wife's effort by aiming for a minimum 8,7,7,7, so you can remain in the 470s.

4. No matter the outcome of your IELTS, please enter the pool as soon as your results are ready. You can remain in the pool while seeking ways to improve your score. Who knows? PNP might knock on your door.

5. Since your wife will be the PA and she already has 2 or more certificates, can you encourage her to take French classes? You also did not mention anything about siblings in Canada, so I assume you don't have. Pursuing French language proficiency should be a faster way for your wife to add points than pursuing a Master degree (which will not add more than 8-9 points since she already has 2 certificates).

6. Please do not be discouraged at any point. Whatever sacrifice you make will be worth it at the end. Wishing you Godspeed and success in your journey starting from your IELTS.

7. Most importantly, please peruse page 1 diligently. It's the foundation of the knowledge most of us have as regards to this journey.

Cheers Doc.
Wao!
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. May God bless you.

5. We don't have siblings in Canada.
Honestly, the French proficieny may be difficult for her. But I we will see to that. Her job is with a lot of pressure and stress. Maybe she can get over that soon.

7. Yes! I got some information from page 1 and the subsequent pages. Actually, I have been reading this topic for some years. I now want to give it a shot.

I had to ask because someone else might see what I am not seeing. Many experience here and sometimes, I believe individuals circumstances matters.

I appreciate your time and all other's effort in answering questions and supporting people here.

If you are referring to prices displayed by wakanow (600k+) .. it's because they are using black market rates. Possibly due to current dollar scarcity..

All these are not true.
I was there about two weeks ago.

The only people they attend to are family reunion and those that just want to pick document.

A day after that, they updated their site that they will attend to urgent cases, which you are all aware of.

German visa is very easy and straigh forwards. No agent or backdoor required. Just be patient and follow instructions.
