@Olokings everyone cannot be a research specialist. And nobody has got a right to label anyone else as lazy here. By the way, I learnt about Dr. F since late 2012 from a Nigerian work colleague based in Houston. Not everybody heard about him from Nairaland. Like someone rightly pointed out, the most helpful people on this thread have also been the most generous with information. It's usually those with limited or no info that come here posting up and down without adding real value (with the exception of a few)! And of course they get likes from their cliques (boarding school things) egging them on.
Some might think that is what keeps this thread alive but I disagree. People telling their stories, giving reviews and being real helpful to others is what keeps the thread alive. Not being sarcastic and downright rude to others or chasing "agents" up and down as if Justwise can't do his thing by himself.
Neks says the truth in that if I volunteer any info here, the first thing some folks will do is find out how long I've been on Nairaland and if not long enough, then I must be an agent .

They have seen that name one too many times.
And when they ask how you found out about the doctor n you claim I researched and googled it without coming clean to say nairaland they immediately deduce you ate LYING which is a big red flag for them.

If you lie about your source if doctor whom they have seen a long queue presenting same correspondence what says you ate not lying about other intentions.

Please newbies try to research other docs that can give you correspondence because the kind doc F have been over flogged n his correspondence have lost ground with too baby presentations.

Put in a lil work n get ursef d visa. .

Shebi Dr F is the one people have been Complaining about? I suggest u get another dr and reapply. My reason for saying this is because of a comment the Vo Made on the other thread that they know Drs that are not safe

it is never to soon to send the change of intent email to the embassy as long as you have confirmed your pregnancy and hold a valid visa.

it's not just about naija docs...
its particular practice with obgyns around the texas area given the law standing.

Q-Tips to identify VBAC friendly docs:
1. they have conducted LOTS of successful VBAC with patient testimonies and reviews.
2. their office practice are usually housed in the same building complex / facility as the hospital.. or at most less than 5 minutes walk/drive from the hospital.
3. the hospital is most likely to be highest level NICU facility.
4. VBAC friendly docs is not a matter of certification, its more of a matter of choice that's all..

reminder: research them well and check out all your options ontime because some of them who are true VBAC docs even go the extra mile of insisting on getting copies of your med report on the previous C-Sessions to enable them make a good decision if / not you are a positive VBAC candidate.

if the doc is so quick to tell you YES to VBAC without proper background checks and med history, bekoo just pick race or ready to be knifed...

most of these doctors are of the habbit of encouraging and assuring mommas that they will conduct VBAC for them and at the last minute when you have no option they will get you under the knife..

best bet if you are a VBAC candidate is to google VBAC FRIENDLY DOCTORS around your area and READ their REVIEWS to decipher amongst them who are trully VBAC experienced obgyn...

after my wifey's session during our visit to the pead, he confessed that he rarely ever if not never have seen a VBAC2 successful momma so be watchful.

make sure durring appointment booking that you notify both the obgyn and hospital so they wont toss a policy in your face when its the 11th hour.

Hmm, please check this very well o, just to be sure Dr Amajor isn't just luring you in. Follow Olokings'advice on reviews on whether or not she has handled vbac before and all.

The reason I ask that you thread with caution is that while I was in the US, my flatmate used Dr Amajor and Methodist - she wanted vbac, went into labour and was about 6cm dialated or so. When she got to Methodist and told them that it was vbac, they didn't agree. They called her doctor and her response was that she was going to put her in trouble. Long story short, she had another Csection despite her dilation.

Now, this is what she told us herself, we don't know the other part of the story.

But check to be sure o.

I understand your POV, it's more complex than just sharing. My information will be totally useless because the doctor does not give intl patients appointment, we were referred based on familiarity, and Chicago POE is unfriendly.

Also, if we share, and the hosp gets contacted, they will get conflicting information and it will look like we are liars.

The doc is extra busy but took my case personally because of my history and her nostalgic allegiance to Africa. Infact it was a full team from her faculty that was dispatched to monitor and bring out this baby.

Modath joined the party as my sister and because she was already in US with me. Infact I took her by the hand to the doctor before and said this is my sister from Africa. Infact, we were walking in for our hospital visits without appointments! (When you know the boss hehehe). Once they tell her we are around, she takes out some minutes to see us and if she is in surgery, her team members see us. They can't do this for everybody na.

If one goes officially, omo na gbege! Bills of 31k and 34k will fly through your face, but we related personally with the doctor and her faculty. I remember on the operating table, they were showing students, "this is the bladder, this is the uterus..." We just offered ourselves to be case study! lol

In this light it is impossible to share, my case was her pet project. The hospital management approved our bills before we delivered due to her influence and It is was done out of pity.

And even I am moved to help someone out of pity, it means i have to reveal my true identity, send you to my cousin in Chicago in person who will now form 'ah doccie, this is my sister from Africa'. And really I cannot do that for anybody and inconvenience her even though she's an angel, there is a limit to human endurance.

We were lucky with what we got. We even needed to get approval from the hosp management to return to Africa.

Modath has mentioned identity the name of the hosp and actual cost of the hosp in a recent post.

So my dear brother, my info will not benefit anyone, and don't mind us when we smirk about our chicago care.

We are just basking in the euphoria that God favoured us and crowned our efforts with favour with the hospital and the doctor. My 1st post in part 2 about Chicago doctors still stand. There are awesome doctors and hospitals with fantastic prices scattered around, all in that post

@all, there's a reality check y'all need to wake up to. ...

1. There will be leaches, lurkers, spammers, genuine users who take n don't give back, trolls, agents, commissioners. ..there's NOTHING n NO WAY they can be eliminated. .checked yes buh elimination mbah..

2. We need to understand that we read, get the logic of things and source out better deals for our own betterment and cost effectiveness and afterwards throws it out there for others to enjoy as well. ..thanks to the likes of phema tvegas whose info shines all around this thread. ..now whether or not these info are stolen and/or agents n d lines make a tonne of moni of it is really none o' our business because bottom line is reason why we sourced d info in the first place had been actualized.

It's either you share or you don't share, not half half info or I heard bout this hosp or this doc with no first hand info can be hidden at your discretion.

The agents taking info and selling it as their packages, there is nothing you can do about it. It's part of the downside.
