Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation For Interview By Virginnigeria by Oluchia(f): 5:23pm On Mar 07, 2007 |
The Assesment Test is a Technical assesment test nothing much. You have two papers in Excel and Microsoft word. The microsoft word is an objective paper with ten questions and you are meant to get at least 7 correct answers, While the Excel is the the practical one. Revise your basic Excel stuff, How to use formular, Formating of cell and font and am sure u will make it. I did mine Yesterday and to God be the Glory I was successful. All the best guys. |

Religion / Re: What Then Happens To The Unbeliever? by Oluchia(f): 6:54pm On Mar 01, 2007 |
@Topic. Although I did'nt go through the whole thread but I will just want to make this little contribution. God is a just God and so I beleive He will judge everybody according to the light received. Somewhere in the Bible(sorry cant remember the place now) says that God has written His laws in our Hearts and this is what we know as conscience. There is no Human beign without a conscience irrespective of your beleif or religion. It is the conscience that enables us to differentiate b/w wrong and right And so if for some reasons you did not hear or receive the Gospel of Christ, God will not condemn you rather He will judge you according to how you kept the law of your conscience. Read Romans chapter 2. verses12 - 16 says "For as many as have sinned without Law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the Law, these having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another". |

Religion / Re: Speaking In Tongues: What's That All About? by Oluchia(f): 6:32pm On Feb 20, 2007 |
I am a Christian but I don't speak in tounges and Of Course I beleive in it b/c it's one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12). I've had an argument with a friend over this issue. She was of the opinion that as a beleiver, I must be able to speak in tounges and that is exactly where I have a problem with speaking in toungues. That is not what my bible tells me. Christians these days tend to focus so much on Speaking in tounges that they forget that it is just one of the many gifrts of the Holy spirit which includes Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, Speaking in tounges and even interpretation of tounges (1 Cor 12:8-11), and one must not have all the gifts for God's sake. I may have the gift of healing without having the gift of tounges,It doesn't make me less a Christian. I have a very intimate relationship with my God. He hears and answers my prayers even though I don't speak in tounges. The most important thing is having the Love of Christ in you. 1 Cor 13:1 says, "Though I speak with the tounges of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal". Let us note that Spiritual gifts will not take us to heaven b/c that is simply what they are 'gifts'- added favours. They are just to edify us and that is why Paul even advised to desire prophesy rather than speaking in tounges b/c people are edified when u prophesy. We should rather pray and strive to exhibit the 'fruits' of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22-23). These are what will draw men to God and give him glory. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Its Not Fair What Banks Do To Hnd ,ond 3rd Class And Sometimes 2.2 by Oluchia(f): 5:55pm On Jan 09, 2007 |
@rusky To an extent u are right but not totally. U see that someone had a third class does not necessarily mean that he or she is unserious. I am very good at Mathematics to the extent that I had an A1 in my SSCE but very poor in Chemistry that I had an outright F9 but luckily I managed to get a C6 at the second sitting. Funny enough, I was offered addmission to read Industrial Chemistry which I did and managed to make a 2.2, thanks to my 100 and 200 level maths courses borrowed by my Dept. where I made my A's. Beleive u me, If I had gone for Mathematics, I would have come out with nothing less than a 2.1 and if not for those Maths courses, I problably would have graduated with a third class in Chemistry. @belle4u2nv I quite agree with u. take the case of my sister who is very Intelligent but unfortunately she had an accident in her 200 level and missed a whole year coupled with the fact that she had a partial memory loss, it was'nt easy for her. So she came out with a third class. |
Religion / Re: Do Catholics Believe in Being Born Again? by Oluchia(f): 5:59pm On Dec 20, 2006 |
@HND Pls and Pls, The Roman Catholic did not write the bible for God's sake. They were written at different times by different men inspired by God. The first five books ie Genesis to Deutronomy were written by Moses. We have the Psalms written by David, proverbs and eclesiastics were written by Solomon, the prophetic books written by the respective prophets used as the title; We also have the epistles written by their respective authors ie Paul, peter. John aso The gospels were also written by their respective authors. Initially they were written in scrolls. What the Church only did was to compile and revise them since the origininal copies were in Aramaic and Hebrew. So please take note. |

Religion / Re: Is God Really Omniscient (All-Knowing)? by Oluchia(f): 7:33am On Oct 09, 2006 |
@grouppoint Point of correction, My statement was meant specifically for Christians who know what they beleive in not to Muslims, hindus and the rest of them that u quoted. I beleive the person who started this thread also had Christians in mind when she posted the thread considering the fact that she quoted the bible so We are not trying to convert any non christian here. Do you reason together with God using logic. God cannot come down physically to explin himself to you. That is why he has given us the Bible as a guide. The Bible is his word, His character, His mind and so all the answers u need are there. All u need is to study it prayerfully with the guidance of the Holy spirit and he will direct ur path except if u do not beleive in it. |
Religion / Re: Is God Really Omniscient (All-Knowing)? by Oluchia(f): 5:48pm On Oct 06, 2006 |
goodguy:There is no point getting annoyed because the truth is that u can only get the answers by doing all that ,not from anyone on this forum. |
Religion / Re: Is God Really Omniscient (All-Knowing)? by Oluchia(f): 5:26pm On Oct 06, 2006 |
Pls let's be careful in trying to understand God by using Logic. Beleive it or not, the more u try the more u end up being confused. Christianity is all about faith. If u beleive the Bible as the word of God (written by men through the inspiration of God) then its authenthicity should not be questioned whatsoever by any true beleiver. 2Pet 1:20,21 and so cannot be interpreted humanly. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit should guide and direct us and stop arguing unnecessarily. The bible says that God is Omniscient and We have freewill and I beleive it because it is the word of God Period. |
Religion / Re: Bleeding Statue Of Jesus At Warri! by Oluchia(f): 7:57am On Sep 18, 2006 |
KDK:Kdk I qiute agre with u. Let us not forget that satan is a master deceiver and of course can make blood to come out of anything least of all a statue which shouldn't be there anyway as Majaze said. Read ur bible Exodus 20:4 and 5 and see what God says about Graven images. |
Religion / Re: Dress Code In Church by Oluchia(f): 5:30pm On Sep 12, 2006 |
It is not proper for a lady to dress indecently to church. It is also true that God looks at the heart, but we should not forget that our character, our looks nd our words most times are a reflection of what is in our hearts because the bible says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.Besides think about others, especially the men who are being tempted by these indecent exposures. All of us are candidates for heaven and so God will not find u blameless if one of these souls should be lost because of u. |

Religion / Re: Do Pastors Fall Sick? by Oluchia(f): 5:49pm On Sep 11, 2006 |
@ KDK Pls dont deceive urself and others. Of course by faith u can beleive u nor ur 'real pastors' can't fall sick. But as long as this world lasts and as long as sin exists, sickness, trials and other afflictions are man's lot, child of God or unbeliver. They are a constant reminder to man of the consequences of sin. But God has promised to give us victory and that his grace is sufficient for us. Besides God allows them sometimes for a purpose, take the case of Job. How about Paul who had an eye problem that never got healed only for God to tell him when he asked for healing that his grace was sufficient for him. Are they not God's Children? |
