I have a different point of view.

The problem is not just her's but the American society shares part of the blame here.

They have legalized gay marriage and women who live natural life and desire male counterpart to satisfy them are left to hug their pillows and face their cold weather all alone.
The men are now marrying their fellow men while women remain single even if them want to marry a man...

This is not good.

The Lawyer defending this woman ought to have proven that the woman could not have opted to sleeping with the minors if real adult man (husband) was there for her to use in satisfying her urge...

Nature and natural life is now what people have chosen to work against.

They imprison her because of the effect of societal digression, but couldn't delve into remote cause of her deviant behavior. Yes, I said deviance...

Yes he would definitively have been born as he never said his parent are gay. Strict Gays account for less than 0.5% of the population. Beside the world is already over 7 billion in population, a few gays would not make any difference in population growth.

That's torture and human right abuse. I hope you don't experience such human right abuse under others with differenf moral and religious opinion, like drinking alcohol.

Are you going to eliminate them all from the surface of the earth? They are a reality. There will be with us till the end of time.

You are not the one that will control how humans live. You are not God. You have no right to determine the sexuality of others.

I have liked your comments here.

What I like is the fact you don't sound gay yourself, you are more a human rights activist. So am I.

But, you should agree that we Africans needs to be free from too much copying from the white people who already have lost morality and cultural background.

Our cultural heritage (devoid of fetishness and diabolism) needs your activism more. That is whom you are.

Now, if you consider the African cultural heritage activism with the gayish position you defend, both will not stand compatible.

That is the essence of my insistence that we should be Natural and live as same.

How do you see him hugging and mating the coconut tree in that picture?

Crime / Re: The Nigerian Police Is Not Your Friend by Omanze: 5:24pm On Jul 02, 2021

I have never been a fan of the Nigerian police because of several unsavory personal experiences with them. I have made this known several times on this forum, and one time a police officer Nairalander reached out to me privately to let me know that the despite the bad eggs in the Force, good ones still exist. Although I remain unconvinced (worse now more than ever), I still maintain a cordial relationship with this person.

This afternoon, my SO was stopped by the men in black at Underbridge on the road that leads to Guiness, Oba Akran road, Ikeja. They pulled him over and proceeded to do a 'thorough search' of the vehicle. Surprise surprise, what did they find at the corner of the door of the driver's side?

Yep, you guessed right. Colorado, aka Cannabis, aka advanced SK or whatever allied street adjective is given to this brand of illegal stimulant.

This is someone who has does not even fraternize with people who smoke this nonsense, neither has he smoked this in his life. He hardly even gives people lifts so where did this stick of Igbo come from?

You are right again. Our friendly Nigerian Police Officers dropped it there for the usual hydra headed purposes of extortion, intimidation, theft, thievery, harassment etcetera etcetera.

They handcuffed this innocent young man like a common criminal, and one of them nearly slapped him, but when the officer noticed his unruffled demeanour and almost maniacally calm laughter, they realised that perhaps, just, perhaps they were messing with the wrong candidate.

A took a call from higher quarters before he was released after hours of embarrassment and being shackled like a thief who stole the neighbourhood goat.

Now my question is what would have happened if he did not have contacts that he could reach out to? He would have been hauled off to jail and milked dry. There are so many innocent people in cells languishing because the people who have sworn to serve and protect them have betrayed them.

The Nigerian Police is NOT YOUR FRIEND. When they pull you over and want to search your vehicle, be VERY vigilant. If possible you latch their hands to yours so that all of you will search together in case they want to be unfortunate. Many of them plant illegal substances in people's vehicles and living quarters so that they can have an avenue to extort and harass them, and woe betides you if you don't have either connection or money to bail yourself.

THE NIGERIAN POLICE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!!

Too bad. But how can the bad eggs in the Force keep painting the image of the police?

I still know that good people in the police are more in number, than bad ones.

One day, light will shine over and extinguish darkness. There is HOPE for Nigeria Police to rise above these challenges

OROSUNBOLB:

Come on guy, what're you talking about ? Victim blaming ? Isn't it unreasonable that you think the victim here is the mother and not that poor girl ? I guess it was the rapist that prevented the careless mother from taking her child straight to the hospital even when she was informed that the poor girl could no longer stand or walk ? I put it to you that the girl would probably be alive today had that careless woman paid close attention to her.

There will always be rapist and other bad guys amongst us and this is why it is very important to sensitise our wards, from time to time, about the activities of these bad guys all around us. Isn't it obvious for all to see that there was no cordial relationship between that woman and her dead child ? Or why do you think she requested to speak to her Uncle instead of her mum ? Is her mum not supposed to be her best friend and close confidant ? That girl was with her mother for more than 24hrs before she gave up the ghost yet she did not reveal to her mum who raped her ! What does that tell you about their relationship and who would you blame for that ? The rapist,I guess !

You see, some children bottled up so many emotions and secrets in their lives because their parents do not encourage them to share their worries with them. Some parents don't just encourage their children to dialogue and share their concerns and emotions with them. Rapists and other bad guys capitalise on this obvious gap to deceive these children and take advantage of their situation. Trust me,it could be one of the teachers or somebody highly placed in the school that had been having canal knowledge of that poor girl for a very long time without her highly insensitive mother having any idea about it ! I personally don't think it was that girl first time if the condom angle is taking into any consideration. Most rapists don't carry condoms around or do they ?

Nobody was trying to exonerate the rapist(s) ,but the point is that some ugly situations could have been prevented from happening if only people would do the right thing to prevent such situations.

The poor girl is the only victim here, alaye.

Boss, you are correct to an extent.

My take is that this perilous time is not suitable for boarding schooling esp. for girls that should be taken adequate care of.

Ohaneze had in that communique, adviced the Federal Government to use all legal means and arrest and repartrate Kanu to Nigeria to face the law...

At this point, I want eloquent people like you to applaud NDIGBO for not shielding or supporting Kanu. Ndigbo did not even keep quiet, they spoke out against all killings in the east, both Igbos and non-Igbos were not supposed to be killed...

This very group should be called to order.
Their unguarded utterances are deplorable and uncalled for.

When Boko Haram started and even now that they continue to wreck harvoc across Nigeria: this group had no prominent voice.

They had and have nothing to say.

They however seems to specialize in taunting the Igbos.

Good news is that the trouble maker, Nnamdi Kanu is now in custody. The Igbos are not complaining that a trouble make is re-arrested. But the CNG have problems with that.

LET IT NOT GO WITHOUT BEING SAID, THAT NDIGBO ARE PEACEFUL PEOPLE.

FEW WEEKS AGO, THE OHANEZE NDIGBO VOICED OUT THEIR CONCERN OVER THE KILLINGS IN IGBOLAND AND A MAJOR TAKE AWAY FROM THAT VOICE WAS A CALL ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO USE ALL MEANS AND ARREST KANU AND REPARTRATE HIM BACK TO NIGERIA TO FACE THE LAW OF THE LAND.

The now vocal CNG should trace the happenings in the North within the last decade and see what efforts Northern leaders made to nip Boko Haram in the bud. They should make a case for why the sect was accorded silence that amounted to acquisence that boosted the activities of the evil sect.

Have the CNG ever reacted to or taken any step to show condolences to the non- count Igbos that were killed by boko directly and indirectly

Come on, NDIGBO SHOULD BE APPLAUDED FOR NOT SHIELDING THEIR RECALCITRANT SON.

I HUMBLY APPLAUD NDIGBO.

Career / Re: How I End Up Washing People's Poo As A Graduate With 2:1 by Omanze: 4:08pm On Jun 26, 2021
SpringofLife:
I don't know if this is the right place to post this but permit me to go ahead regardless.

How I end up washing people's poo as a graduate with 2:1.

Growing up, I used to admire graduates a lot especially the way they do things, conduct themselves and the rest. You see them living in a good house and in the morning, they dress up properly, go to work and return in the evening. Non-graduates of course used to jealous graduates a lot as it were. Fast forward to today, the table has sharply turned 360°. Now, graduates have not only been ridicule but reduced almost to nothing. Non-graduates who learnt one skill or the other are the ones kicking money bags to the bank.

Well, I finished university 3 years ago and couldn't find a job despite aggressive job hunting due to obvious reasons. Being the first in the family, the pressure was/is already much on me. The aged parents have tried within their powers thinking the best they could do for me was training me to acquire a university degree but in today's Nigeria, it's glaringly not enough.

Let me not bother you all with long story but I don't see myself continuing with this kind of life any longer because it's not what I envisaged.

According to the heading, I graduated with second class upper division which of course is a good grade considered very employable according to society standard and labour market. Despite this, I searched for job in every nook and cranny I could but to no avail. Everyday I have to eat food, rent expiring, bills piling up, parents looking up to me and younger ones who are already in school every now and then would call and ask for assistance and which I didn't have. Out of no option, I accepted an offer to work as a laundry man in a hotel for 15k/month. That's how I thought I have at least got something doing. Frankly speaking, I didn't have an in depth knowledge of the job description.

Obviously, this would be a long story but let try and shorten it. Do you know that I have drained so much from my body in the course of this work physically and health wise? Practically, I wash between15-25 bedsheets/duvets everyday as the hotel does not have washing machine....parked since it got spoilt. Consequently, my pams have developed thick skin which is now very tough, rough and scratchy.

However, the above might not just be my only anger. More annoying is that, some guests are so inhumane. Is it because you paid money to lodge in the place that's why you believe you have to do wickedness? Why I'm writing this is because of the very one that happened few days ago. Actually that wasn't the first time. It's been happening over and over before. Could you believe a guest used the hotel bedsheets and defecated on it, folded it and kept it and checked out. As a laundry man, of course it landed on me and I was the one who washed the poo off. Oh God! Like I said, that wasn't the first time although other ones only used the bedsheets to clean their buttocks (for whatever reasons because I believe tissue paper is always there) after defecating but this particular guest 'pooed' fully inside the bedsheets, folded it and dropped it for whoever to come carry it and wash. I'm not writing fiction here please. This is 100% real of what I'm going through in the supposed 15k/month job. How wicked? When toilet was there?

Moving forward, equally, I can't count the number of times I have washed menstrual blood from bedsheets. These men bring even women who are on menses to sleep with them and end up pouring menstrual blood all over the bedsheets and I would be the one to wash it. God why?

Most annoying of all is, the management pays salary on the 26th of the following month. How inhumane some people can be? In other words, I have to work 2 months to get 1 month salary or simply put, 15/2=7500. In reality, that is the salary I'm receiving as a graduate. When I picked up the job, my plan was to raise up to 50k within the shortest possible time and move to something else, but unfortunately, I don't even know what I'm doing now. I have been in the job for 6 months now with nothing to show for it. This is why I said I can't continue with the present condition. The situation is beyond the one people say 'hold unto it. At all at all, na him bad pass". This one is worst than "at all at all".

Before I end it, just a few questions. Dear Nigerians with good job, abeg where una dey see diz good job after graduation? Abeg where una dey see money do business after school? Where una dey see money chop food and live life? Me still dey very hungry as I'm typing this. Abeg na beg I beg una, make una put me on abeg. Make una be my God father/mother. I don taya for this life. I be una brother o. Help me and help the society by extension. Thank you.

I have decided to take you serious because you remembered God in this post (even though by questioning).

You should have it in your mind that God allows us learn the lessons of life the hard way as preparing humans for greater and better task in life.

Know it also, that experts have asserted that when a man becomes angry with his situation, then there is hope for him. The anger I perceive in your post here is meant to bring out the best in you.

I will like to work on you to bring that best out of you.

Try reaching me now, so I may move on with you.

Quote my reply here. Then I will take it from there

Family / Re: How To Check The Expiry Date Of Your Gas Cylinder To Avoid Explosion by Omanze: 11:14am On Jun 24, 2021
Humphrizy:
Majority of people using cooking gas don't know that their gas cylinder has an expiry date. They don't know when the gas cylinders will expire and when it does, it can results to leakage that can lead to explosion. There have been many cases of gas cylinder explosions and when this happens, lives are lost and properties worth millions are also lost in the fire that follows. So many lives have been lost and this is a call to concern.

According to a State Coordinator, Standard Organisation of Nigeria [SON], “If a cylinder of 12kg explodes, it is capable of bringing down a two storey building. Cooking gas cylinders must not exceed five (5) years.” According to the SON Director, most people using gas cylinders hardly remember when it was bought. Once you discover that your gas cylinder has expired, stop using it in order to avoid explosion.

This is the process to verify the expiry date of the LPG cylinder
The expiry date of cooking gas cylinder can be found on one of the metal strips that connect the body of the cylinder to top ring (handle). It is printed or pasted on the inner side of the strip. Alphabets from A to D is painted on it along with a number. The process of decoding the expiry date is very simple. The alphabet A, B, C, D represents the month it will expire while the number beside it indicates the year the gas cylinder will expire.

A year is divided into four quarters which are:
A – January to March
B – April to June
C – July to September
D – October to December
The letters represent the month of expiry while the number indicates the year of expiry.
For example, if a cylinder has ‘B 20′ printed on the metal strip. The letter B represents month June, and 20 indicates the year 2020. So a cylinder having B 20 mentioned on it means it will expire in June 2020.

After the expiry date, a gas cylinder has a grace period of 3 - 4 months because the cylinder cannot be extracted immediately out of the circulation. There have been several reports on how distributors tamper with the expiry date because they are written with paint. When next you buy or receive a gas cylinder, make sure you check the expiry date and stay safe.

Op wait,

I have taken this serious but when I checked my gas cylinder, I saw (among other writings), 2010 3...

Not as you specified.

So I asked the attendant in a gas station to show me the expiry date but he told me it isn't present on the cylinder. He said the date there is production date and each cylinder stays for 15-20 years maximum after production.

Advice me pls, and tell me what are the signs to indicate when a cylinder is expiring/expired.

The attendant I talked to alluded to peeling off of the pains, etc

You are a prudent man that have financial independence as a goal, but that is being threatened by these kind of expenditures.

You are however facing a dilemma in this issue.

WHEN YOU GET MARRIED, YOU MAY SUCCEED IN GETTING GOOD WIFE BAD INLAWS OR BAD WIFE GOOD INLAWS. ITS RARE FOR A MAN TO GET BOTH, QUITE RARE.

Now, from your own words, you have gotten a good wife, and did not get best of inlaws. You should thank God that you got good wife.

This problem you are facing is temporal. The young persons eating up your food will later get something doing and will begin feeling remorse for depleting your food reserve this way.

HELP THEM IN ANY WAY YOU CAN TO HAVE THEM FIXED IN SOURCES OF INCOME FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL THERE WHO CAN WORK. THAT WAY, YOUR BURDEN WILL BE LESSENED AND THEY WILL BE GRATEFUL FOREVER.

DON'T HURT YOUR GOOS WIFE. HER INTEREST AND HER PRIDE IN HER PARENTS HOME IS YOURS TO SAFEGUARD, AND THAT UNDERSCORES YOUR KINDNESS TO THAT FAMILY THUS FAR. DONT RELENT NOW.

IF YOU QUIT YOUR MARRIAGE BECAUSE OF THIS, YOU WILL REGRET. IF YOU PERSEVERE, YOU WILL REAP THE REWARD LATER ON.

ANOTHER WIFE, if that is what you are contemplating, may be the opposite of what you have now.
Imagine having bad wife and best of in laws. i.e you will be sleeping and waking up from the same room with the opposite of your current wife.

Thank God your current inlaws are not stealing from you, nor your wife stealing from you and giving to her family behind you... That is what happens in many families, and many of them are still enduring it.

Lastly: your marriage is still relatively young. Two yrs only. Every family faces challenges at early stage. Naturally, those problems fissle away as years go by.
REMAIN A GOOD MAN. YOUR PROBLEMS WILL ALSO PASS WITH TIME.
