Igbojihadist:
Good morning Nairalanders.

Please I need advice on this. I was given fasting and praying which is supposed to end today but yesterday night i was not feeling alright then I visited a doctor who gave me some medications and placed me on drug, I'm suppose to use some this morning but I'm afraid I might spoil my fasting.

PLS I NEED ADVICE

Una happy sunday

You have to fast not because they asked you to do so.

Fast only when you must. Then let your fast be solemn.

Fasting is a spiritual exercise. If you are under pressure due to health challenge, family issue or personal psychological trauma, don't fast.

Fast is acceptable when you commit your mind, soul and body to it.

Haphazard fasting will not help you!

Family / Re: How To Get Over Trauma Of Wife Past Life by Omanze: 3:14pm On Jun 10, 2021
kenoyad:
I learned wifey had slept with a guy that's married and far older than her, I got the impression when we met and started dating and asked her if there was anything between them, she denied.

I got to know from her after three years and she was not even remorseful, claiming she had dated him before we met and that's her choice cause she can date Whoever she want at the time cause she's single.

I always felt bad cause I got suspicious and asked her about it. I always think about it every day and it makes me feel so bad.

Her mother had apologised on her behalf that I should please get it over my mind and count it as when she don't know what she was doing.

We have got a kid and i don't want the kid raised outside a home though we were both not married officially.

I want to get the ordeal out of my mind cause that's the only issue i have with her.

How can I get it over my mind? I think about it every day.

Yeah!
This kind of feeling happens to so many men like you. It is part of masculinity. But if your woman is of a disposition that she won't go back to her past, then you must move on and let bye-gone be bye-gone.

You will not see yourself a mature man nor will anyone consider you serious if you, out of naivity, fails to look forward by looking behind over an issue already in the past.

Advise:

-Pledge your fidelity to her and have her solemnly do same to you.

-You both must draw closer to God. That is the best known solution to a life of escaped/ promiscuity.
(This is because to a godless person, 'stollen water is sweet and food eaten in secret is pleasant'
But, to the godly, one must 'drink water from his/her own cistern' or remain thirsty...

Those who live a life of chastity and godliness are quite familiar with the language I am speaking .

NB: If you keep God out of your relationship, you will not enjoy fidelity because it's only the fear of God that leads to avoidance of cheating and secrecy in marriage.
(The other day a man accused his wife of doing such stuff behind him, the wife denied. Peace makers called the wife in private, talking with her in the absence of the husband: she exclaimed '...if I do that stuff he will not even know...'

The peacemakers were like undecided undecided grin

Politics / Re: Herdsmen Kill 50 People In Ebonyi Communities by Omanze: 12:09pm On Jun 01, 2021
Let the authorities be informed that BENUE PEOPLE ARE USING HERSMEN TO INFLINCT INJURIES ON THEIR BOUNDARY COMMUNITIES, SOUTHEASTERN STATES, to be precise.

Yesterday, I commented on a thread created to deceive readers that herdsmen have all left southeast and are settled in Benue state now, but that's lie of course.

If something is not done, Benue people and their southeast neighbours may have real conflict because the idomas and others are using herdsmen to commit attrocities against Ndigbo.

Currently, isi-uzo local government area of Enugu state boundarying Benue is suffering from herdsmen attacks because their Benue neighbours conspired with herssmen, gave then Enugu territory close to the boundary and asked the herdsmen to occupy the place...

THE ANNOYING PART IS THAT NEWS REPORT DOES NOT OFFICIALLY REPORT WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW IN MGBUJI EHA-AMUFU ISI-UZO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF ENUGU STATE.
Politics / Re: Herdsmen Flee South-East, Invade Benue Communities by Omanze: 10:39am On May 31, 2021
This is not correct.
Hedsmen are agressively occupying Enugu agrerian communities of Obodomba, Okpokwu-mgbuji, ugwu-oka, Ngeneaguiyi, ulo-mgbuji, etc all of Mgbuji Eha-amufu in isi-uzo local government area of Enugu state. These communities are close to the borders of Enugu and Benue states. And the invaders claim to be the now-owners of the lands and communities mentioned from Okpokwu-River to Ado-River coast to coast.

People have fled these communities mentioned as the herdsmen have already killed more than half-a-dozen of the mentioned communities with threat to do more, especially as the youths of these communities attempted to confront the invaders.

Trouble is brewing as locals in these villages have fled their homes and farms. No official reaction have been heard from the government yet over the development.

So, it's not true herdsmen crossed to Bunue state entirely.

Special security arrangements of that kind should have been done with and in connection with the Nigeria police force.

POLICE is our true friend. When security arrangements are made in an official way, secret happenings will not usually accompany it because of the hierarchical arrangements involved in which superiors kept supervisory roles over the Junior officers to ensure professionalism.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/05/asaba-declaration-we-stand-with-malami-arewa-youths/

The youths ought to have taken the middle ground and not insist on the status-quo, where killings, raping, kidnapping and other crimes against our laws and humanity accompanies open grazing.

Taking side with statements that just support open grazing is not wise, when there can be a middle part, different from the two extremes.

There has to be an alternative to just the status-quo.

“Don’t hurt what you cannot kill”!

Amaechi knows this.

Now he has caused the suspension of Miss Hadiza, he must see to it that she’s totally annihilated and never reinstated because if she ever gets her powers back, it will be fight to finish.

So now Amaechi has hurt her, don’t blame him for trying to finish her up.

One of the Laws of Power states, “Finish your Enemy Completely”.

This is politics!

This is power play!

You should not look at it this way.

Rather, see it from the angle of a minister who wants best practices to be employed by government officials under his ministry.

Rotimi Amaechi is a perfectionist when it comes to official duties. He doesn't feel any fatigue in confronting officials who lag behind or engage in malpractices.

President Buhari knows Amaechi is a good man who stands for the best practices. So Amaechi is safe and free to do his best. The president understands Amaechi very well, that what matters.

Leave laws of power out of this. Nigeria is what matters here. There is no enemy to finish. Just best practices in for greater Nigeria is what matters.

Is LA Buena Vida a Scam? Read >>> https://www.nairaland.com/6521497/la-buena-vida-heard-it

Please don't be misguided by the fake reviews on trustpilot.
Like a pyramid scheme.

It's an MLM. It operates a binary system - you bring 2 people who will bring 2 and the 2 bring a further 2.

Do you know that if one person starts a network marketing in a binary system and each person signed up brings 2 people every month, in 36 months, there should be over 68 billion people in the network. What is the population of the world?

Ask yourself, what will happen to the last set of people that will be signed up? Who are they going to sign up?

In every network marketing system, the bulk of the participants are at the bottom. In a binary system, 50% of all the participants will be at the bottom level at every single point in time and another 25% will be in the level just above them. Then 12.5% will be 2 levels above. Mind you that these 3 levels haven't made any gain at all.

What does that tell you? At every point in time, 87.5% of participants of any network marketing company are either running at a loss or have just managed to recover the capital they invested. Less than 10% are the ones that have made any reasonable profit.

So for every Mike, Nefo, Kelechi, Sam (Ifeanyi) etc who have made money in La Buena Vida, there are tens of others who have run at a loss.

Romance / Re: When A Nigerian Lady Says She Wants A "God-fearing Man", This Is What She Means by Omanze: 1:13pm On Mar 31, 2021
blazepascal:
When it comes to relationships or picking a partner for marriage, most Nigerians have a long list of preferences and what they want their spouses to possess in order to make a perfect partner.

Men have want their women to be respectful, beautiful, caring, bold and hard-working before they can consider them as "wife materials". This ideology often make some men to be too selective and usually end up being single even in their forties.

What about the women? Nigerian girls are very complicated people and their idea of an "ideal" husband might depend on age.

A teenage girl or one in her early twenties would want a fun guy, the party type that would take her places to have fun on weekends. Any guy that behaves like a husband to a girl of these age bracket will surely be disappointed as her lifestyle and mentality might be too over-whelming for him. These kinds of ladies prefer play boys and fun lovers at the moment.

Since we're talking about ladies who are choosing the kind of men they want to spend the rest of their lives with, let's get down to the point.

What do ladies mean when they say they want a "God-fearing" man?

First let's describe who a God-fearing man is. A person who is God-fearing is an overly religious person who sees nothing more important than his relationship with God. These people are try to live as holy as they can and often times, treats all people with love and respect equally. These kind of people don't lay much emphasis on romance or being a "great husband" and treat their spouses equally with the way they treat other people outside.

Now, with the above description is there any Nigerian woman that would want that kind of man? Many would cringe at the mere idea of marrying a pastor so as not to appear wearing gowns that they wouldn't normally wear.

No Nigerian woman would want to share her husband's love and affection with anyone and clearly, intimacy is a vital ingredient in marriage that must be shown as often as possible so as to keep the bond strong.

Some Nigerian women would likely cheat or even loath on her "God-fearing" husband because well, that isn't what she had hoped for.

So in summary, what people actually mean when they tell you that they want a "God-fearing man" is actually "I want a Good man''.

"I don't want someone who's too religious".

So the question is, why do we say one thing and mean another?.

Good piece op.

Those criticizing this post may be grossly guilty of the truth you itemized.

You have spoken, as expected, like a true Fulani apologist full of platitudes. You can chuck, jive, and twist yourself into a pretzel trying to avoid answering the question, which is how to STOP the Fulani terrorists from raping our women, killing our men, women and children, and pillaging our farmlands simply because you're a beneficiary of the government that supports their evil acts. But the fact still remains that you have nothing of substance to offer other than making excuses and running off on a tangent. Hear yourself, "THERE ARE MORE GOOD FULANI PEOPLE THAN BAD ONES. i.e THE GOOD ONES ARE IN THE MAJORITY. I have interacted and transacted with Fulanis in Nigeria and I tell you Nwanne, they are not as bad as you could want to paint them." It has never been my contention that there are no good Fulanis. Of course there are good Fulanis, but you totally miss the point. The issue has never been whether there are good or bad Fulanis, but how do we as a race of people defend our lives and ancestral lands from Fulani invaders. However, your intentional and sleek move to muddy the water and divert attention from the real discussion is commendable but very disingenuous on your part.

Kudos to you, for owning up to the fact there are good Fulanis in Nigeria.

I am pleased, knowing you are not a robot. You know, it's robots that has no discretion to consider matters objectively. Robots rather act according to how they have been programmed.

Humans are rational. You are rational. You have proven it now. Yes, it is a truism that there are good Fulanis. Please, go through your posts and see the way you generalize Fulanis without being fair to the good ones.

Isn't it an unfair approach to call out an entire nation of tribe as despicable without making a statement in recognition of the goodness in the good ones?

I have seen where people make statement referring to all Ndigbo as guilty of a particular offense because one or few Igbo persons were guilty, and I usually disagree with such sweepy statements.
Sweepy statements against Fulanis is wrong the way it is against Igbos.
