The height look perfect in the drawing, some build kingpost height are sometimes exaggerated than its ruin the look of the house.

Hahahaha...If you are satisfied and feel your order is complete then the price of the bucket or transport is okay too....the decision to buy in the first place was out of conviction the price was reasonable.

I'm new here. I describe my work because I know who will patronise me is at the background figuring out the difference between different doors and why their cost varies. The questions they ask helps me explain those things.

at the moment yes but they have stopped producing their custom Kirin chips which is their flagship SOC. Their mate line has been cancelled too. For you to say they can source their chips from elsewhere means you don't know what's happening. [b]No company can sell to Huawei without first obtaining licence from USA trade agency. Huawei USA is just a subsidiary of Huawei China.....Huawei China have dealing with USA trade agency through Huawei USA..... America won't dare to tell Huawei China to get clearance from them to source chips...... likewise America can't tell Huawei Europe to get clearance from USA trade agency to source chips from anywhere in Europe....same apply to Asia and Africa.
Samsung South Korea can sell chips to Huawei China and America can't do nothing.... that's how it work.

a single policy from Trump killed one of the most technological advanced conglomerate from China. Trump singlehandedly killed Huawei mobile division. Now it's going after the network biz. Their inability to source chips from TSMC rendered the company and their 5G expansion plans into comatose. Many North American and European countries are currently boycotting Huawei.

Please!!! Get your info right..... Huawei is still one of the best selling mobile products at this moment (doing better than Apple).....5G issue was pure national security and pricing scare, it's open secret China don't hide their intention to develop or acquire anything either by hook or crook like other countries do.....apart from UK shenanigans(which is irrelevant) the EU have no issues with Huawei.
China source chips from the USA in the name of trade, they can get it elsewhere, cheaper and better.

You have heard him complaining about the European making it difficult for american autobiles and other products......2021 Europe will introduce Euro7 meaning Co2 pollution must not exceed 100g/km, that will force all manufacturer who want to sell in European market to make changes and comply with the new norms..... since Europe and other still respect the Paris climate change agreement.......they will leave America behind.

Nigeria is too docile for changes and capitalising on opportunities...... COVID-19 would have been a good cover up to penetrate some countries and acquisitions for our own development. China have identified weaknesses and are going hard to acquire ailing and cash strap investment and products. See what has become of them after acquiring some high techs products over the years......they have the money in hand and others need it to survive and they acquired modern 'how to' from it.

So Dangote refinery and many others springing up will make overhead and still divest to chemical productions. Remember that Dangote is also producing fertilizers too. If UK is still using coal, many countries will still need petrol and diesel

It's unlikely oil will power this century to a greater extent,......the gradual exit have started.... Europe have already set the pace in banning certain goods that drive the oil industry (petrol & diesel vehicles) and setting timetable to phase-out some nuclear power reactors.......increase awareness and economic benefits are gradually increasing electric vehicle purchase... ...granted America and Asia will lag behind but would eventually keyed in due to policies changes of trading partners or risk loosing market share to China.

Most refinery are gradually diversifying to industrial chemicals production, I wonder where he will sell or import to, Toyota already stopped production of diesel engine in Europe and all their models now come with half electric and half petrol of minimum Euro6+ engine specifications, 2021 will be a crucial turning point that will see rapid phasing out of combustion engine etc.
Dangote is just being pressured to build those refineries, a smart business man knows the future of Petrol and diesel is bleak, unless he has plan to diversify into industrial chemicals in the future.

I wonder what guide our policies makers decision to embrace outdated, expensive and environmentally unfriendly project.

Could you imagine the amount of energy we could generate if we set up windmills and solar panels energy parks on land and sea? Yeah! I remember, We couldn't because politicians still consider it a complex rocket science......and there are quiet Nigerian professionals all over the world that could make it work back home with the RIGHT SUPPORT.

Soon here, home glass windows will be generating solar power.

These are the things I’m exposed to at early age. In my late 20s, I joined the Late former Vice President and the former President of NIA, Chief Alex Ekwueme’s team, 1919 Properties and we worked on so many multi-dwelling and mixed-use developments in highbrow Ikoyi, Lagos.

Those were natural talents, architecture were way different and complex than now, and their results have stood the test of time with minimal signs of wear and tear and their durability and substances still rivals modern builds.

I appreciate modern technology but I can't resist the curiousity of visiting and getting to learn and understanding how everything started and what they went through to get humanity this far.....it took me to Mercedes (undisputed Daimler - Benz) in Stuttgart where automobile started and Ferrari in Italy who turned the heat up. Like they all agreed, it was not just about making money but National and personal PRIDE.

While we still scramble for petrol and diesel cars others are already moving past that stage and making electric cars the new normal.

That is one of the reason why other professional will tell you he/she can produce architectural drawing for you! Software has cause so many ahit for architect(although you will notice the difference when they present the drawings )

CAM is more intriguing! Human has perfected Artificial Intelligence to utmost precision.

Manipulating those lines, angles and arcs can be nerve racking, above that you must memorised all symbols and represent all sections accordingly (whether solid or cut through)..... This generation are so lucky, CAD programs like ZWCAD, ZW3D, CADPROFI and ZWBRO has made it more easier as long you understand what you are doing.

We still have those boards at work......I find them very useful if i want spread installation or circuit drawings......seeing what those guy used before and after all the world wars to advance technology gives me chills what must be going on in their heads.

For real, those brands produced for all level of educational sectors.....the professional sectors especially art and grafic cost a fortune.....those brands contributed immensely toward technological education and advancement of western Europe hence they are always patronised. They have made a name.
I got my son that iconic Staedtler metal mathematical set but he preferred something fancy, I got him the fancy one but it didn't last long, nobody ask him to pick up old good Staedtler.

We are talking about days of Rotring, Staedtler & Faber Castel technical pen and tracing papers.

If you didn't have those brands then you felt like the gods of precision haven't answered your prayer.... Those brands are technical drawing icons and still exist till date.

For real man! I work in a different environment, such mentality can get you into serious judicial problems, they know how to turn the case against you with the law.
There are more to marketing than just trying to convince someone to buy a product, the same apply to street marketer, I do it and experience it everyday.
I went to source for a new kitchen yesterday, it took the lady over an hour trying to get me to understand the product, advantages and disadvantages.

That's a normal closet but a walk closet looks different here.
Though some houses have a separate rooms for clothing with closet in it.

A duplex with some tricky basement will do just fine, security is not only about maximum protection but also measures taken to be safer.

I disagree with this definition. At least from an American perspective. A walk in closet has nothing to do with a toilet.

Closet is a enclosure for clothes, shoes, bags and personal accessories etc.....a walk in closet is a walk in space for keeping clothes, shoes and person accessories and being that it's spacious you can easily manoeuvre to dress up in it. It could be in concrete, wooden, aluminium or preferred materials.

Actually the better wordings would be , clients should learn to communicate to the architect what they want and what they can afford.

The client owns the build , he is the employer of the architect. Lots of times people contact an architect to design a 4 bedroom duplex for them with a masters bedroom. That's it!! Then the architect will go wild

Some folks are regretting their build because they weren't fully involved in the design process, the build did not capture the "dream" that they wanted to bring to reality.

Another guy in my what's group commissioned an architect for a 4 bedroom bungalow. And oga architect delivered. He returned to the country to visit but wasn't happy... venting.. hin must kill the architect, architect built nonsense for him

I asked , what was his brief to the architect.. he said to build a 4 bedroom bungalow! I asked how many rooms are they, he said 4 and I said very well then, you got 4 bedroom bungalow
He said the architect should have known to make it all ensuite, this and that... hmmm... seriously? An architect should tell you how to spend your money? Should tell you what to like??

I have a different opinion about client and professional(architect) relationship, client uses instinct of attraction to source product (building) whether it's compatible, affordable, compliant, durable, suitable etc is irrelevant in the first instance, it's the duty of the professional to bring the client to reality of the instance mentioned above.
Yes, the client own the build and employed the services of the architect but he/she must render his professional services without concealing or misleading a client in buying nor accepting a plan, he must exhaust all avenues to get the client to understand the advantages and disadvantages of a product. I know Nigeria have reliable professionals that do their work judiciously but majority have that Alaba market ONE CHANCE mentality toward marketing product.

It's easy to follow up my project from distance, I thoroughly studied my plan before approving work and I get pictorial, live video and audio reports at intervals daily and an independent individuals checking if all the necessity conformed and I didn't find anything different when I am on ground..... it's modern time, there are a lot we could do without being physically present.

Exactly! Some just go to work with assumption orwithout in depth brief or finding out what affordable structure a client have in mind.
