henrychubayo: Plz i have a different opinion on these. These is not the worst primary school because there are pupils who don't even have a class room but study beside a tree and there are some who don't have roof cover in the so called class building. Actually, what the school here needs is a large renovations and some furnitures.
ur right, that's why the question mark is there. But the point is still the same wheather it is outside or under dilapidated buildings

These are some of the pupils of Obafemi Owode Local Government Primary School in Abeokuta, the OgunState capital. This dilapidated classroom ranks as the worst class rooms to study. It is dangerous learning environment for children.

This is one funny thing about nigeria! Every single day you put on your radio or tv you here millions and trillions of naira, yet we still have schools without roofs even in state capitals. It's really appalling, and one wonders if this school is not under a ministry, what the comissioner responsible is thinking...It's sad because after all the noise and argument over budget implementation, when you go down to the grassroots you see things like this...and then you wonder again: what is really the purpose of governance....Is it to attend world summits, to host foreign govt officials, or what, cause in Nigeria these are the issues that make headlines. No one stops to wonder what future these children- these young innocent Nigeians- have studying under a roofless classrooms without even enough seats. Where is our hope?

FashionRe: How Can One Grow Facial Hair Rapidly? by omicron(m): 4:34pm On Aug 01, 2012
Absence of facial hair in a guy of 26 is a genuine cause for concern. Is it an isolated problem? Or did u have delays in other male secondary sexual characteristics, like deepening of voice. If yes then you may be worried about an underlying causative problem rather than just the lack of facial hair. If however u have not noticed any associated problems, then u can use minoxidil cream as suggested. It's a drug meant for heart problems but has a side effect of enhancing hair growth. Best advice still remains to see your doctor--an endocrinologist should help you best.

PoliticsOshiomhole Wins Edo Guber Electiion By Landslide?! by omicron(op): 7:32am On Jul 15, 2012
SaharaReporters has ascertained from a top official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Governor Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has won theEdo State governorship election.
Mr. Oshiomhole, the candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has so far garnered 431,536 votes from 17 out the 18 local governments in Edo State. His main rival, Major General Charles Airhiavbere of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has so far scored 125,437 votes.
“It’s clear that the incumbent governor is going to win by a landslide,” said the INEC source, adding, “INEC will formally declare him after all the votes are counted in a few minutes .”
The June 14 election was seen as a final proof of the political irrelevance of Tony Anenih, former chair of the PDP’s board of trustees who paraded himself as a kingmaker in the state. Mr. Oshiomhole trounced his PDP rival, handpicked by Mr. Anenih, in both the candidate’s ward as well as that of Mr. Anenih.
President Goodluck Jonathan had deployed thousands of soldiers to major towns in Edo State in a bid to shore up the PDP’s candidate, but thepeople of the state trooped out in large number to ensure that Mr. Oshiomhole beat back his PDP challenger. http://m.?u=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FLpaKmw&h=_AQGbqbEF&enc=AZOKfEv3W9khTygLYHgG-2JoZMMobWjHEraDRxRv1ay04ZlMUhgnNuANPsNEnyX8OmKDBX9lir83KmkjC18l6sn5Vwe5CNTI30sZu-do_QbwkK6LunMPgIABWeTSDALf1N8_xkTX-Wc-ygM-6r7cRa7l

rhymz: Hmmmm.... I can see the apprehension in so many prospective otondos' faces.
Anyway, I am a batch A serving corpse member in Sokoto state. I share your apprehension and unwillingness. To be honest, it is a big challenge to still be here in Sokoto state.
However, I feel it is pertinent that we dispel some distortion, half-truths and many times outright lies that one hears all the time about the North. Seriously guys, it is not every part of the North that is unsafe, that impression is wrong. There are state in the North that are relatively calm and peaceful. States like Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi, Zamfara, Adamawa, kwara, Yola are safe to be honest. Besides, I feel the experience one gets here gives you a better understanding of Nigeria. Let's all have positive mindset. Another shocker many of you will see here when you come is the large population of southerners here especially Igbos and Yorubas, mehn, we full ground for here o. . . . we even have markets dominated by southern traders, come see me as i dey shine for babes as I dey switch from Igbo language enter yoruba language everytime I come in contact with southerners in Sokoto here...lol.
Am trying so hard to learn some Hausa myself. .lol. . Foodstuff here is cheap but the ones grown in south are slightly expensive. . .like me wey dey inside villa, we hardly get foodstuff like vagetables, oha leave, fresh fish and co unless of course you go to sokoto town.
As for the flexing boys like Moi. .hahahaha social life for north dull o, me no go lie o but boys still dey flex especially if your PPA na town e dey. . . Coded Babes dem dey here small too o, plus u can flex with other southern babes here too, them berekete for town. . . .try hook up with one corper chic if you can make congie no kill boys. . No go try near their gals especially if na villa dem post you o. .lol. .
Dont know about others but here in Sokoto, state allawee na 4k, some LGA pays local allawee like my own Sabon Birnin pays 3k ass allawee. . .gals even have it better with all that polio program they do every month and get like 9k or so.. . . The camps are secured but all man still get use him head here. .like me, I don already cancel any religious activities for here, me no dey go places where ppl plenty, I prefer the villa wey I even dey sef. . I no wan die abeg . .lol. .but thats jusy me o. .i ve never been a religious person anyway. . As per camp address for sokoto. . Once dem drop you for camp, take a bike to Farfaru technical college. . Ppl wey dey come from south na 2 days journey o. .lol. .like me I hear am o when I came in here from Onitsha. . But if you have got family or friends in Sokoto like me, I go advise say make the person reach abj rest there before continuing that way u no go feel am much. . .lol
anyway goodluck to you all. .
Any chick posted to Sokoto holla at your boy yo..lol
thanks bro!

NYSCINEC Recommends 2 Corps Members For National Awards by omicron(op): 9:49am On Jun 21, 2012
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has recommended two outgoing members of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, for state and national awards for rejecting bribe money offered to them by politicians during the governorship election in Cross River State.
The two corps members, Nkiru Okpala-Ukeje and Adeleke Ogunmokun, who served as presiding officers in Akamkpa and Boki respectively during the last governorship elections in Cross River State, were beaten by suspected thugs said to have been hired by politicians for refusing to collect money to falsify results of the election.
Apart from the recommendation for awards and automatic employment by the various state governments ofthe two former corps members for outstanding performance, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Cross River State, Mr. Mike Igini also presented cheque of N50, 000 to each of them.
Presenting the cheque and letter of recommendations to them, Igini said, “Today (yesterday), internally Iam very happy, staff of INEC are veryhappy to be here and celebrate these two Nigerians, who incidentally are not from this state or South-South. These two did something that was exceptional.
“For standing tall in the face of intimidation that the right thing must be done, it is our opinion that we must commend and celebrate these two young Nigerians, so that people will know that no matter how bad things are, some persons have integrity,” he added

NYSCOrji Rewards 15 Corpers With N1.5 Million by omicron(op): 10:11pm On Jun 19, 2012
UMUAHIA – GOVERNOR Theodore Orji of Abia State, has given N1.5 million to 15 NYSC corps members who passed out last week for distinguishing themselves where they did their primary assignment with each receiving N100, 000.

Giving out the money, Orji said it was not easy to select the 15 outstanding members out of many, saying the corps members who were honoured deserved the honour for rendering great service to the state.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Prof Mkpa Agu Mkpa, the governor said, “What you people have done for the state is unquantifiable, as you have through your work lifted the state to a great height, we will not forget your good works to the state. You are free to come here anytime any day, as it is now your home. Please feel free to come back and stay, as our people will always accept you, because your good works will always speak for you.”

Earlier the chairman Abia state National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and the commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Akujiobi Nkoro, explained 2200 corps members were posted to the state and that it had not been easy selecting the best 15 out of them.

“During the last year’s President award night, the state produced three awardees which is the highest so far, while the indigenes of the state who were corps members serving in other states were five in number, it is a great feat”, the commissioner noted.

PoliticsBREAKING News....yobe Under Attack!!! by omicron(op): 7:17pm On Jun 18, 2012
BREAKING NEWS!!!
Sounds of gunfire and explosions are being reported from Damaturu in Yobe state.
Though details of the attackers and their targets are still sketchy at this time, Daily Trust can report that someof the attacks are concentrated around Sabon Pegi around which the governor's residence is.
A resident who was caught up in the violence told Daily Trust that he ran into a gang of young men trying to set fire to a primary school within thevicinity, Pompomari Primary School, and fled for his life thereafter. He could not not confirm if indeed they had set the school on fire.
Many residents of the town are trapped outside the town and those within have taken refuge.
The governor, Ibrahim Geidam, had only this morning set up a committeeto look into the unemployment crisis in the state.
Calls put to the JTF were not being answered.
Yobe state has suffered from at least two major attacks in the last seven months.
In November 2011, about 70 people were killed and countless others injured in an attack claimed by the Boko Haram. Gun men went through the town, attacking police stations and a building used by the JTF, shooting and throwing explosives, and burning cars with their drivers in them.
In May, gun men attacked the Potiskum live stock market, killing over 50 people and setting the market ablaze.
More details soon...
