WebmastersRe: WYSIWYG Editors Versus Text Editors by OmniPotens(m): 9:44am On Nov 18, 2008
Gone are the era of killing yourself with much codings. It's better to make life easier, doing the same piece of work that will cost 5 hours in an hour. To this end, I prefer to use a WYSIWYG. I can make use of notepad though but that is when I'm not too tied up and want to take absolute control of everything the way I want it. Notepad na baba ooo  grin

WebmastersRe: 2008 Web Jurist Awards by OmniPotens(m): 7:44pm On Nov 14, 2008
Yawa, you can judge anyway since you have time to spare. For me, it's the last thing on my mind now. Not thinking about it at all for now. The only thing I can do is to look at the webs and pick up features on them and integrate on my designs tongue
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 1:57pm On Nov 14, 2008
Prefer FF to any browser any day, any time though Chrome seems to play with some pages that appear good on FF. As for me, no more issues on compatibility for now. I'm controlling it grin

What about you?
WebmastersRe: 2008 Web Jurist Awards by OmniPotens(m): 1:08pm On Nov 14, 2008
You are right yawa. Their site is not that great to be the best. NEVER!

On the issue of redesign, it has started oooooo. I'm really telling u. The clients I have now are all talking redesign and not a new design.

Is this the back cover or internal? Why not make it in a book format whereby we can see the exterior and interior design then review properly.

Nice work there. Your colour combination is good and layout is good.

I think the logo and brand name are not given enough light. Nice one. If it is supposed to be an online shopping site then you are missing the cart (top right corner).
You are right about the shopping cart feature but I think that depends on the website owner, if he actually can pay for the programming.
Yes,

We live in an age of "freemiums" now - offer basic services for free then offer something unique/extra for a feee (at a premium).
That's the case. I think they should first come with free trials then when the gist gets hotter, it becomes premium.

As per the review, @askphantom, integrate the corrections pointed out so far.

WebmastersRe: Who Is A Webmaster? by OmniPotens(op): 4:58pm On Nov 12, 2008
But, don't you think this thread is a problem to many. They just don't know what to say again after the explanation of who a Webmaster is. I know what to do next. It will be a VS game. I think we'll know those that are webmasters and those that are web developers even web designers grin
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 4:37pm On Nov 12, 2008
I've learnt alot from this thread. I never knew it will get very interesting like this. I'm also getting to learn those who really know what they are up to in this section of the forum shocked

I probably blog for fun. That's me. I give away as free info I like anyway I want it. No rules to obey or what do you think?
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 5:01pm On Nov 11, 2008
I prefer strict mode. It is a better choice for me. I make use of transitional though not not as often as I use strict.
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 9:07pm On Nov 10, 2008
Hey, just woke up now since morning  grin
Thanks for all still posting here. Now I really know you do understand the issues behind this browser stuff. Mine is solved. Just make use of DIVs for your layout. As for the form stuff, Mustay, I'll try my stuff just the way you preach here to see what results I get. I'm used to going the Yawa's way.
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 1:33pm On Nov 10, 2008
Hey, here is the link. My phone has rang me up thrice so let put the link here and sleep off again. You can test your website looks in as many browsers as you want. Enjoy!

One last thing, forget about tables, just resort to DIVs and you are safe. It gives no shit to whatever browser you are working with. All standards remain loyal to it wink

WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 6:39am On Nov 10, 2008
Yeah!

Don't you know you can view the look of your website in more than 21 browsers? It really possible. I'll send the link later. Need to go to bed now as I've worked all night.

I know tables will still be needed for my tabulations anyway wink
WebmastersRe: How Can I Get Php Software And Mysql. by OmniPotens(m): 5:26am On Nov 10, 2008
@uspry1
I'm making use of Apache2triad, how do I activate it to work over my network so that other computers connected to mine can access files in my htdoc folders?
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 12:16am On Nov 10, 2008
I think I've arrived at the end of it all. I did my entire layout on DIVs without a single table. Believe me, I tested on over 21 browsers and it was perfect. Still maintained the layout without any issues. Will I say goodbye to tables now or whathuh Well, someone else should give it a trial and see how it works.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Career Rather Than Job. by OmniPotens(op): 11:38pm On Nov 09, 2008
Just too bad that no one is interested about this. I think it is because it is a free thing. Well, I'll rather get to people on other forums to give this information to.

WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 8:46pm On Nov 09, 2008
I tested on IE8, firefox 3, Google chrome, opera 9 and there was no issues. What if I now convert those layers to tables, what do you think will be the outcome on other browsers? I'm trying to solve this problem once and for all from all angles. Don't ever want it to exit again.
WebmastersRe: Websites And Browser Compatibilty Issues by OmniPotens(op): 2:42pm On Nov 09, 2008
What if I designed with layers and didn't convert to tables, will there be any issues?
