ijawkid: Fasting is not mandatory,neither is it a precept that christians must follow strictly in order to be approved by GOD.....

Fasting shuld be by choice...and it shuld not be announced.....members of a church are not be coerced into fasting...

Oh believe me. During the last dry fast announced in the church when we held our Deliverance Service, not everyone observed it as it should have been done. People openly said they drank water and/or ate so nobody can be forced to do anything

The longest I've gone without food nor water is 3 days. I've done this twice and both times, the 2nd day was the hardest

On the 3rd day, the roof of my mouth hurt so badly that I could only sip warm water and not eat much

The longest fast is the one MFM is doing right now. 70 days non-stop. It's not so bad though as Mondays and Fridays we break at 5p.m; all other days at 2p.m.

A.F.A.I.K. the reason why some churches frown on wearing ear-rings/jewellery is because you don't know where the jewellery has been passed down from. It could be some demonic jewellery kept in a family and passed down from one generation to another thereby keeping the familiar spirit contained in that family.

I, personally, don't think it matters if you buy it yourself but then again, this is MY opinion, so don't slate me for it. If, however, someone can pinpoint it out in the Bible, I'll be interested too
