Early this morning, one of the women in my compound was bout cooking her native soup (which i cant pronounce cus my tongue is still useful to me).

After removing all the snails from their shell, and twas time for the washing, she sent one of her daughters to go bring some garri from the kitchen. My people..... Na there afraid begin catch me ooo

On inquiring about her request for the garri, she told me that she wants to use it in washing the snail.

Before now, i only knew of Alum and salt....

Hence, this new info got me thinking if there other (odd or weird) ways used in washing snail.

So i say lemme come and drop the question here for all and sundry to learn from.

All the cookers and cookies in the house...

OP well observed. But the thing is you can use alum which make the slime come off easily but on the other hand makes the snail hard when done cooking and also tends to remove the original snail taste. Garri or lime helps retain the natural taste of the snails although it might take more time. although cooking is one of my hobbies but washing snail and bitter leaf is a no-go area for me as these makes hand feel hard and ugly. so you can see there is nothing wrong with washing snails with garri. my take.

It comes with run flat tyres that can still carry the weight of the car for a while even after being shot at or deflated. The run flat tyres can go from 16 kilometers to 80 kilometers (depends on the tyre type).

As you can see, the beast was parked with its tyres detached. It came for tyre change.

Getting those run flat tyres off their rims was a tug of war using the normal vulcanizer method we all know. It took a lot of time and human strength.

It’s sad that such a car was subjected to such a harsh condition. Does it mean there are no proper Tyre Centers in Enugu with hydraulic jacks and tyre removal equipment? They are the few places to easily get a run flat tyre into its rim without much damage.

His excellency might not know his official car landed there for tyre changes.

This is shameful. A man who allegedly raped a young girl has been apprehended in Rivers state. According to reports, the suspect raped the 12-year-old girl multiple times and threatened to kill her if she tells anyone. 

The young girl was said to have later revealed to her parents what has been happening as an alarm was raised.

The man in question was apprehended by residents who beat him and tied him up before taking him to the police station for further interrogation.

Greetings family-landers, I'm having this issue which has been bordering me, I finished service last year, recently got an online side hustle which gives me 30k per month.

And at 26,I'm no longer comfortable staying at home with my parents, I can't hang out late with my friends without my parents drowning my phone with calls, as early as 8.pm at night the calls will start flowing as if I'm a customer care agent. (really frustrating)

Almost all my guys are living on their own, and to make matters worse, I can't receive any female visitor cos of my religious parents and lack of privacy.

Nothing wrong with that and at your age too. But ensure you do not take freedom for liberty to do what you want and how you want it. Make you parents proud by not over stepping boundaries and have them being called upon for one negative thing you have done. my take.
