Efficiency, honesty, quality materials, and excellent workmanship and project are skills are words that instantly come to mind when I think about how Rotech and his team performed. In 24 days the house was built, Biodigester installed, plumbing completed, and bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and windows were in place. All in the neighborhood are in awe and I have received so many compliments on this build. At times like these, the words “thank you” do not seem impactful enough so here is thank you times 100 sir. • Nigeria risks $1.2bn fine, legal experts, lawmakers to explore legal options

The Senate, yesterday, initiated moves to reverse the multimillion power sector deal spearheaded by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016.

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Babatunde Fashola and others who were part of the team are believed to have erroneously signed an agreement that was not in favour of Nigeria.

The Presidential Power Reform Transaction, which was headed by Osibanjo when the deal was struck obligated Nigeria to pay between $30 million and $33 million monthly to Azura for power for powers generated, even if not “dispatched.”

The power generated is expected to be transmitted through the national grid — by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

The Senate at its plenary, yesterday, said Nigeria stands to lose about $1.2 billion if the country defaults or revokes the current agreement with power generation companies.

Bros i'm doing pretty well for myself, i'm not dependent on govt money nor did i think buhari's govt will favour me in anyway. Though i'm not as rich as the elites that own multiple plots in banana island, I've been able to help a lot of people here on Nairaland with cash transfers during the time of lockdown. I can just sit down, live my private life and not speak out, but ive always chosen to speak against ills in the society.

Now to your post; Did you see me antagonize sowore when he wanted to organise the protest? In-fact, it was YOUR OWN PEOPLE that mostly snitched on him. Ive always been an ardent critic of the Buhari maladministration, i had warned of the impending doom to come but people didnt listen. Check through my posts and see me campaigning for youths to read their history, so as not to make mistakes of old.

You're obviously quoting the wrong guy in all ramifications.

If i would follow your thought pattern, i should be the one blaming the southwesterners for vilifying MNK, celebrating his incarceration and the murder of his followers when he kick-started the campaign for Nigeria's dissolution. But that is a very childish way of handling the issues at hand. There is no need crying over spilt milk, now isn't a time for trading blames, all regions of this contraption have faulted one way or the other and have contributed to this mess.

Now is the time to right wrongs and move to do the right thing and secure the future of our generations to come. The dissolution of the contraption is the path that leads to the solution for our age-long problem. It is a collective responsibility for us all to champion this cause to its success.
Dont take my post "personal", l just used your own post "as a Reference" to generalise such thinking and l am sure you know exactly what l am saying in my post.
I did not say ANYTHING about your Personal circumstances, financially or otherwise, whether you paid everyone on Nairaland or not (and l could not have done so since l dont know you "personally" and cant even verify all those your 'online claims' undecided ).

We are here on Nairaland when people, most;y from the S/East said all sorts of things about Omoyele Sowore, just because he is a Yoruba Man.
His idea that Nigeria needs a #RevolutionNow, that was trashed back then, is the same idea that everyone is now requesting for, so the question that arise is: WHY WAS HE BEING TRASHED BACK THEM and why were the People of the South East saying locking him up indefinitely, was a positive thing, that he deserved it and all sorts of nonsense? How has that tribalistic approach helped we Nigerians?

Dont try to rewrite History, the internet never forgets!, the records are stll littered al over Nairaland and other Social Media and if you push it too far, l can easily pull up a few of such posts for you, just here on Nairaland.

And l bet you to show me the post where the SW people snitched on him, as you wrongly claim.
You guys will be doing what is Evil, you know it is Evil but afterwards, you dont want to be associated with that Evil that you did!
Why not just refuse to do Evil, so that you wont be associated with Evil?

When we x-ray the problem of this country, properly and honestly, it will dawn on all of us that it is not a "Geographical Problem" but a "Human Problem" and people like me dont understand why the Igbos ALWAYS reduce the problem of Nigeria to "Let Biafra Go".

I am not against Biafra going but l can say with confidence that it does not solve the problem we see among Igbos in Alaigbo nor anywhere in Nigeria, Problems which will also raise their ugly head in that Biafra.

I agree that Nigeria is not properly governed and it is even worse, under the current Jihadist in Aso Rock but 96% of Nigeria's problems are caused by Nigerians, these Problems are in every Local Govt Area of Nigeria and among every Nigeria, from the North to the East to the West and South South.
Just look at the sheer evil going on in NDDC right now? Can we blame restructuring or "Let Biafra go" for that? Can we blame Northerners for that? Can we blame Buhari for that?
If we say let the South South be a separate country today, is it not the Akpabios, the Daniel Pondei, Cairo Ojugo, the Joi Nunnehs of this world that will be Rulling the place? Will the looting and under-development had stopped?
What about the South East, is it not the same Rogues representing you at the National Assembly, as Governors, as LGA Chairmen, etc, the same Rogues in the Public Service, that would be governing the place?

Ditto for all other regiosn of the country and that is why l said, "Geaographical Expression called Nigeria" is not our major problem, if it is at all but it is THE PEOPLE, (Nigerians) that are creating the problems for us.
Granted, the terrorists "foreign" Fulani Herdsmen, especially under this Buhari, has become a very unsustainable Parasite and a danger to life in Southern Nigeria. But that is just one of the many problems.
Having the right people in Power, is the first step and this cannot be achieved without a Revolution, reason being that the leeches are from every tribe and every location in Nigeria. grin undecided
If we can get rid of the leeches in power, it wil be a starting point to a sustainable Regionalism that will solve our problem and yields required results.
But just asking for Balkanisation of Nigeria at every opportunit and problem, makes it look like an unreasoned fixation borne out of lack of understanding of the real issues at stake.
The earlier that we all realise that using tribalism and the barometer for our thinking and decision making will not help us, the better and faster we can all sit down together and chase away dem Babylonians making life diffuclt for everyone, including those who think they live in Banana Island.

May God help us.

Hhhmmm
I’ve to forward this to my two tenants
I can bet u, one of them will not pay. The other one might pay. Thank God it didn’t affect landlords.
It affects you the Landlord even worse, than the tenant. grin grin
According to him, the burden of payment of the six per cent “lies on the beneficiary of the tenancy or lease agreement, whom the Stamp Duty Act identified as the tenant or renter.”

He added that “the responsibility of collection and remittance fall on the landlord or agent in charge of the property for lease or rent. The party making the payment shall have the obligation to account for the applicable stamp duties.”
You are theone the Govt is holding liable for the Collection and Remittance of the Tax.
You are the one Govt will jail, if they dont get their Money, not your Tenant
.

But you have the liberty to dispose of that Tenant that wants to put you in such situation, by breaking the Stamp Duty Tax Law.
Govt does not care how you collect it, as long as you collect and remit to them, otherwise, Tax defaulters (The Landlord) are easily sent to Jail grin grin

Lol and how will they enforce this one huh
Read the Post properly, the Landlord is to be held responsible for remittance, if he does not enforce and collect it from his Tenants.
Do you think a Landlord will want to go to jail, for a tenant who refuses to pay the Tax?
He will just throw you out and if you go to Court or Police, he has a valid reason: You refused to comply with Govt directive and put his own liberty/freedom in jeopardy.

What we should focus on is how to unite to frustrate the criminality of the Buhari Govt, by banding together to disobey the law, not turn on ourselves or the Landlord, who was not responsible for such stupid law.

Some countries are advicing landlords to reduce or even forgo some months house rent in order to reduce the effect of Corvid 19 epidemic on the masses.

But the government in this part of the world keeps burdening and taxing her citizen on all fronts.

This 'next level' no be here o.
How can a Nigerian Govt that knows nothing about how its citizens survive or how a Landlord suffered to build his House, 'advice" such landlord to reduce Rent? Where was the Govt when Landlord was buying Cement, Sand, gravel, Blocks, Cables, Iron, etc, at astronomical Prices? Where was the Nigerian Govt when the Landlord has to pay for his own Borehole, do drainage Gutter, do the road to his house, buy Nepa Pole and Cable, etc..... things that Govt provides in other foreign countries!

Did Govt advice Market Women to reduce the price ofgroceries that has TRIPPLED between March and today, during this Covid-19 Pandemic?
Has the Govt adviced Transporters to reduce the astronomical increase in transport fare, during this Covid-19?
Ordinary 'NEPA' (the DIscos) that promised that it would not disconnect consumers during Covid-19 has not only started carrying diconnection Ladder all over the place but it has sort to even increase, the Tarrif, never mind that it did not give us the free electricity it promised.

So, the Nigerian Govt is a failed Govt. Buhari has failed miserably.
The Leaders in those countries that are advicing Landlords to reduce or forgo Rents have ensured that they give free food, a basic amount fo weekly income and so many other incentives for such citizens and Landlord such that the Landlord will find it "reasonable" to follow such directive.

How can a Landlord buy a Bag of Rice for #16,000 in January and then buy the same thing for #26,000 in June, and you want to advice him to reduce or forgo his Rent, will he not ask you whether you will pay for the Rice he bought at an extra #10,,000 increase or is it not from what someone is 'selling' that they buy other things and feed themselves from?

Nigeria has become a "Dog-Eat-Dog Country", a totally failed system, especially under this useless Jihadist in Aso Rock.

Poorly educated (those who went to the University but learned nothing! grin ) and stark illiterates are jumping up and down trying to riddicule Degree holders.
The CERTIFICATE is just a Small Piece of Paper, a very, very important piece of Paper that Certifies to others, that you have put-in the hardwork of acquiring knowledge in a structure environment of a University and anyone you show it to, can work on the initial assumption that you are a graduate, then you have to prove to such person that you actually learned something useful in that University.

They forget that it is not the Certificate that is the problem in Nigeria, it is the corrupt leaders that fail to provide the enabling environment for such graduates to prosper!

It is the DUTY of the Govt, through POLICY and IMPLEMENTATION, to provide Basic Inftrastructure like Electricity, Roads, Water, Network Backbone (in conjunctio with Telecoms Compnaies) Safety and Security of Lives/Property. Thats all.
Then let the people blossom and use their acquired knowledge to pruduce goods and services.

That is how it is done in other places where you will never hear one idiot come online to write rubbish about education.
In sane countries, even people who have made a lot of money, are still clamouring to get a University certificate or its equivalent.

I watched where an old woman in the USA makes Face Masks and Posts it out in an ORDINARY ENVELOPE, to friends and customers and they recieve it intact. The whole process is SAFE AND SECURE.
Now, if you do that in Nigeria (where you can still find a Post Office grin ) it will certainly be stolen at the Post Office or by a Post man.

So, if that Successful woman in the US is brought to Nigeria, she would become a Failure, tha is how Govt Policies and Actions affects the success of her citizens
.

No one is expecting the Govt to baby-feed them but nstead of these brazen looting as we have everywhere, from EFCC to NDDC, to COVID-19 PTF, to Governors, to the President and his fronts, etc............ play your part and stop calling them lazy Yoots.

Government is the major employer of labour in this country and Northerners constitute 98% of Government employees. In fact, the Government is the North.

The educationally backward Northerners have cornered all the Jobs in the Country. They have placed themselves in juicy positions and allocate the Jobs to their kinsmen.

Even our President does not have a WAEC certificate yet rules a country of over 200m people.

Dont mind the yeye Man, he is so out of tune with reality! Most of what he wrote are just unrealistic and not for the Nigerian environment, apart from students needing to apply themselves properly to their studies in the University.
Maybe he just copied it from somewhere and wants to impress.
Otherwise, is it in this Nigeria that a lot of University students have to forgo classroom and go find a job outside Campus, just to buy books or pay for handouts, is when they will have time to do any extra curricula activity or volunteer or do a double major.

How would most students not struggle, in an environment where the Laboratories are empty, where even the lecturers are not intune with modern technoly and developments and just recycling what they were taught thirty years ago!
How many Lecturers go into Industry and apply their knwledge to develop tolls and services that we need in everyday life, not to talk of their students?

Is it Lecturers that are owed for upwards of six months salary or students of schools that are on strike 59% of the year, that will excel in future or compare favourably with their mates from Private Universities or foreign schools?

Abeg, the educational system is rotten, the few people who are able to excel are just those who are particularly determined and have the support of parents or relations who are of help.

The man should just shutup and face front. I am not endorsing acadmic truancy but let us be fair to both sides.

This CoronaVirus is a blessing to Nigeria in disguise!
One by One, slowly for steadily, gradually but with steadfastness, Cabal is being dismantled without Nigerians lifting a finger!
I did not mention anybody's name o, so dont come and infect me with your Corona mouth.
PoliticsRe: 1 Million Register For Tinubu 2023 Project… As Pressure Mounts On APC Leader by One4me: 12:34pm On Jul 20, 2020
All these are just SMOKE-SCREEN, Jagaban Tinubu knows that he wont be President, though there is nothung wrong in aspiring to be one but since we operate a Democracy, as against a Military Coup, a few thousands of Area Boys and Agberos in Lagos, cannot Tinubu the President of Nigeria, that is a FACT!
It will take majority of Nigerians to achieve that Presidential ambition and if things are as they are TODAY, that ambition, if he is even nursing it (bceause l think all these is just a "game of bargaining" for future contracts and other perks)...that ambition is DEAD ON ARRIVAL.

The South West and indeed Southern Nigeria knows that right now, only the Candidacy of the current V.P, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and that of the former Governor or Lagos and current Minister, Raji Fashola, can "fly nationally" and win a National election, Tinubu can only support or oppose these two people.

Nigerians should discountenance any group claiming 200Million Nigerians are in support of Tinubu candidacy, that is just wishful thinking.

I'm an Architect, part of our training in Sch was... If you want the best design, let as many people criticize it.... Your training teaches you to filter the best ctits

LASTLY, I once did a design for a NLer, she asked to share it on NL.. I agreed.

After many criticism, even I admitted the design got better.

ALL CRITICS SHD JUST BE REASONABLE AND THE OP SHD KNOW WHICH TO PICK AND WHICH TO DISCARD

Thanks
I just saw this, after l made my post!
You have done justice to it, as an Architect! kiss kiss

You've spoken well.
Though I hate it when people bring designs here for criticism, before an architect does a design for his/her client, he must have debriefed such client, advised and designed what suites the site.
We shouldn't be bothering ourselves on what has already been done.
For clients who bring designs here for criticism, it is not easy to get a precise design, most lands can not accommodate what some Clients want without tampering with other features.
None the less, let's all consult professionals in our dealings. It's importanta.
Its never wrong to have a SECOND Opinion on anything!
There are things one Architect may miss, that another Architect or even an experienced home owner may notice and piint out.

But l can understand why you hate it... undecided grin

My opinion.
