ControG: MY PC gives me problem when m browsing, about to open an important page or a secured website,it tells me to activate "vulnerable pluggins" i 'm never able to view important docs online..I ALWAYS use a cafe.cos of dis problem.I 've adobe reader 9 installed on my windows 7..i downloaded some pluggins last yr it was as if i downloaded rubbish.anyone with help on the right pluggins for my HP WINDOWS& OS.TO ENABLE ME VIEW PDF ONLINE SHOULD PLS HELP..thanks in ANTICIPATION

I don't think my computer has a HDMi port, I don't know much about this stuff I'm using my Hisense LCD HD ready tv as my monitor and Its connected through VGA to VGA cable. So the thing is when I'm trying to play games the screen says "VGA No support" even though I can hear the game playing through my speakers, I tried changing resolutions and all that still it doesn't play on screen.. So if my computer has HDMi port and I connect to tv via HDMi to HDMI cable are the games gonna play? Or if I use a cable which on the other side its HDMI and on the other its VGA would it work?

I don't know if I'm making any sense but ur answer would be much appreciated.

sameolg616: quite simple,ur hard drive is weak and is fast generating more bad sectors..the more u format,the more u live to fight another day.modern day laptops have been equipped with a hard drive intelligence called S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology; often written as SMART) is a monitoring system for computer hard disk drives to detect and report on various indicators of reliability, in the hope of anticipating failures.

When a failure is anticipated by S.M.A.R.T., the user may choose to replace the drive to avoid unexpected outage and data loss. The manufacturer may be able to use the S.M.A.R.T. data to discover where faults lie and prevent them from recurring in future drive designs.

either it has been disabled on ur system or u don't have it..else it wld have reported the state of ur hard disk.
solution:
1.first backup any important data on that hard drive
2.using special tools I can regenerate the hard drive...ie..if sector 236 has been marked as bad,data in it would be moved into another healthy sector then regenerated...else it wld be marked as BAD so dat data is not written into it..a clear example is shown in ur complaint...if u were to save a file on sector 236,retrieving info from that sector becomes impossible thus making ur system unstable and eventually resulting in a bsod(blue screen of death).u may later result to reformatting the system and u can now safely save the same file else where.its just a matter of time before u will need to write in dat sector in the future then ur stuck in the same situation again.
3..in some very rare cases,so bad sectors may not be regenerated so its always aadvisable to replace the hard drive but some data may still be retrieved before replacement.
4..make sure ur smart monitor is on,that way u can know the real state of ur hard drive evn if u just replaced it or its getting bad

Akseph: there is a Cd that even came with the system on the Cd we have all the drivers. I have installed the realtek from the Cd but it still not work out.

chrisgreen: Please I need a good and affordable laptop engineer to help fix my laptop in lagos...it rained on it through the window and now its not coming up anymore...took it to a repairer and they tried, I don't know what to do...if I can get a new board or try to fix it still please I need help...and I need to cost getting a new board or trying to work on the one that is already there. Who ever that can help on a cheaper rate please...
