No, at least until they can be shown to exist using empirical, replicable, scientifically valid data or evidence.

Christians say that Jews and Muslims are wrong
Muslims say that Jews and Christians are wrong.

Adam and Eve are black people.

Black is the default colour of all people and races, all peoples will become black again.

Er, no. Default color can be said to exist, but each region (linked to latitude) has a default color. In northern Europe this would be very pale skin. Along the equator this would be black skin. At latitudes in between, some shade of brown or olive.

And as long as people are living far from the equator, they will not become black again.

lol. Ok. However, anyone who reads this post can make up their minds for themselves about the evidence. I think it is perfectly clear that the Quran has been altered. Good day. cool

Why is the stoning verse not in the Quran?

Bring the remove verse sir, I think Christians existed during the time, they must have a copy bring it sir.

This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed my favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion. Qur'an, 5:3

It is right in front of you. The Quran had multiple early versions and verses removed. This is confirmed in the hadiths and in the early versions found of the Quran. Your choice to see it or not to see it. smiley

Where is the older verse Sir. Aren't you ashamed to lie. In which chapter is it remove, or added provide it sir or keep quiet

And another one. Stoning to death as a penalty for adultery does not appear in the Quran. The verse was removed.

"...Umar b. Khattab sat on the pulpit of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Verily Allah sent Muhammad (may peace be upon him) with truth and He sent down the Book upon him, and the verse of stoning was included in what was sent down to him. We recited it, retained it in our memory and understood it. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) awarded the punishment of stoning to death (to the married adulterer and adulteress) and, after him, we also awarded the punishment of stoning, I am afraid that with the lapse of time, the people (may forget it) and may say: We do not find the punishment of stoning in the Book of Allah, and thus go astray by abandoning this duty prescribed by Allah. stoning is a duty laid down in Allah's Book for married men and women who commit adultery when proof is established, or it there is pregnancy, or a confession...."

Please bring those former verses or version of Qur'an. Am not interested in your link. I did not post link here. Bring previous verses, you're sending me to a link. Prove the verse of Qur'an wrong that say its incorruptible, or you yourself produced a verse

Surely Allah (SWT) have said the truth, produced one previous version of the Quran.

I just did. You are free to look or not. The Quran is man-made.

The Quran is not hidden book my brother. Provide the older one.

You can plow through this book which discusses extensively the differing versions of the Quran in the Sana'a manuscript:

https://www.scribd.com/doc/110978941/Sanaa-1-and-the-Origins-of-the-Qur-An

And you can look at this hadith from Sahih Muslim (book 12, 156):

Abu Harb b. Abu al-Aswad reported on the authority of his father that Abu Musa al-Ash'ari sent for the reciters of Basra. They came to him and they were three hundred in number. They recited the Qur'an and he said:
You are the best among the inhabitants of Basra, for you are the reciters among them. So continue to recite it. (But bear in mind) that your reciting for a long time may not harden your hearts as were hardened the hearts of those before you. We used to recite a surah which resembled in length and severity to (Surah) Bara'at. I have, however, forgotten it with the exception of this which I remember out of it:" If there were two valleys full of riches, for the son of Adam, he would long for a third valley, and nothing would fill the stomach of the son of Adam but dust." And we used so recite a surah which resembled one of the surahs of Musabbihat, and I have forgotten it, but remember (this much) out of it:" Oh people who believe, why do you say that which you do not practise" (lxi 2.) and" that is recorded in your necks as a witness (against you) and you would be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection" (xvii. 13).

1. Your post contradicts the hadiths and the versions of the Quran found in Yemen, France, and Turkey.
2. There are many books written by men which are much better than the Quran in their expression and eloquence.

There are multiple versions of the early Quran. There are hadiths which mention verses which were not included in the final version. Sorry but the Quran has been edited as well.

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. [Quran 1:3]

Allah is most merciful, no one is merciful as Allah.

In the Quran God still Merciful to Unbelievers despite associating partners with him, despite disapproving his oneness, he still feed them, cloth them etc. Also Allah in his infinite mercy forgives the wrong doers. That is Allah's mercy to all. If Allah is not merciful he would have deny them all this.

[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals. [Quran 77:46] .

"Say: "To whom belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: " To God. He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. That He will gather you together for the Day of Judgment, there is no doubt whatever. It is they who have lost their own souls, that will not believe. (The Noble Quran, 6:12) "

"Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from unbelief), their past would be forgiven for them; but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them). (The Noble Quran, 8:38) "

"The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again. (The Noble Quran,
38:66) "

"Those who avoid great sins and shameful deeds, only (falling into) small faults,- verily thy Lord is ample in forgiveness. He knows you well when He brings you out of the earth, And when ye are hidden in your mothers' wombs. Therefore justify not yourselves: He knows best who it is that guards against evil. (The Noble Quran, 53:32) "

"If any one does evil or wrongs his own
soul but afterwards seeks God's forgiveness, he will find God
Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (The Noble Quran, 4:110) "

"And remember! your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): 'If ye are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you; But if ye show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed.' (The Noble Quran, 14:7) "

"Say: 'O my Servants who Have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (The Noble Quran, 39:53) "

Psalm 5:4-6
4. You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell.
5. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; [b]
you hate all who do wrong.
6. You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and
deceitful men the LORD abhors.

Romans 9:13
Just as it is written: " Jacob I loved, but Esau I
hated."

Exactly my point. Allah cannot be 'all merciful' and punish anyone, even those who have not asked for forgiveness. And I would never wish eternal fire and torment on people who don't respect me, I'm a lot more merciful than that. Allah is not all merciful. He seems to be the opposite.

Elaborate what you call contradiction sir

Sura 1 verse 1: "In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful."

If I understand 'entirely merciful' correctly, then that must mean he automatically pardons all sins, therefore no one goes to hell. If he sets any conditions then he cannot claim to be 'entirely merciful'.

Imagine somebody saying that they are 'entirely knowledgeable' but they don't actually know everything. It does not make sense.

There are no contradiction in Islam. There are only contradistinction

The very first verse of the first sura contains a very glaring contradiction with the rest of the book. Allah is anything but all-merciful.

I agree that Christianity is full of confusion, and if you go a bit deeper into Islam, you will also find plenty of confusion as well. Islam's appeal to reason is like this: any reasonable person should see that the Quran is the word of God, plain and simple. I've gone through the Quran carefully and found lots of errors and contradictions and therefore it is not reasonable for me to see it is the word of some god. But in the end Islam demands that you accept it under threats of eternal torture, just like Christianity. This is not an appeal to reason.

Does it then mean that because you have not discovered a way to verify a thing, that thing does not exist? I am an agnostic. I am not convinced of the existence of these Gods either... But I realize that the situation is that I am not convinced... Not that they don't exist.

Several phenomenon exist which even though will eventually get discovered, cannot be discovered now due to our limited observatory capacity.

I think sincere atheists should shift from negative faith, to keeping an open mind to receive and ruminate on facts. There's a whole lot out there to learn! That's the beauty of fee thinking!

It's virtually impossible to disprove the existence of something, especially if that something is presumed to be able to hide itself. I cannot disprove there is a flying pink unicorn circling my house, but I see no reason to believe that there is one because I have zero evidence to prove its existence. I am agnostic like you but my opinion is that there is no all-powerful, omniscient god watching us do horrible things to each other, which is where the 'atheist' part comes in.

Atheism, as I perceive it, is the first bustop for youngsters in philosophy, whom basking in their new found freedom from restricted thought, fall prey to the logical abomination of reaching conclusions before conducting research.

The picture it paints is that of a man who says "God exists. How do I know? Faith". And after some time, he says "God doesnt exist. How do I know? Faith!"

I dont see how a person can be an atheist and a free thinker...The thought process of an atheist is already bent on proving the non-existence of a thing, as opposed to drifting in consonance with the random waves of facts, evidence, and logic, towards an unknown destination.

Atheism is not free thinking. Its just negative faith.

You perceive it wrongly. I am open to the existence of other beings, but the proof of such doesn't really exist. There is no way to test a hypothesis about the existence of gods. The majority of atheists hold a position similar to my own. We are waiting for evidence that we can test ourselves. I have no faith in anything. In any case all religions are completely man-made--that I am sure of--and are not evidence of anything divine.

You want definition of God?.

Here it is. I was on my way to Chicago from New York. I'm am the pilot with bunch of Atheists on board. When I reach 35,000 above sea level, I nose dive the aircraft at the top speed...going straight to hit mountains. By the time I reach 15,000, all Atheists on board start screaming and yelling including yourself.

They scream......."OH GOD OH OH OH GOD........OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD"

When I hear them scream I pull up. They simply quiet and say "Thank you God"

What bothers me is that, they claim they don't believe in God. They don't believe in nothing. How come that scream God's help when they are in trouble?. Why don't they scream OH NOTHHING?.

Same thing happened to Dawkins when he was debating theist. He forgot name of something and touched his forehead trying to remember. He said "oh God"

So don't you think you deceiving yourself HardMirror?.. I'm sure that would have been your reaction in the scenario I described if you were to be in a distressed aircraft.

Keep deceiving yourself like seun

Uh. Let me give my personal story. I have twice been on flights that had to make emergency landings--one of them because one of the engines malfunctioned and stopped working. I did not pray or invoke any god or even think about such things.

The other time the plane never lost any power but the navigation system malfunctioned. I was reading the God Delusion on the flight. I kept reading.

I have been on a couple of other flights through very rough weather where other passengers were shouting. Once again, no prayer from me.

End of stories.

I got your point here. According to Merriam Webster dictionary; atheism is 1 archaic : ungodliness, wickedness
2 a : a disbelief in the existence of deity
b : the doctrine that there is no deity.

I classified atheists into two groups:

(1) Passive atheists- these are group who lacked belief in a deity. This group are who i called pseudo atheists. Nothing wrong on their disbeliefs and I'm not always after them.

(2). Active or dogmatic atheists - these are atheists who have a doctrine or conclusion with 100% certain that there is no god(s). These are the people i listed as the atheist in this thread. I mostly debate against them. They usually end up insulting me. I usually debate against this group with passion just as i do with religious people and deists.

There are actually names for those categories. #1 are called agnostic atheists and #2 are called gnostic atheists. I'm pretty sure the majority of atheists are type #1. But there are a few gnostic atheists as well, I just don't agree with them.
