Am living in a country that is 90% Muslim and the breweries here would go bankrupt in a month if all the Muslims stopped drinking. Flag, Gazelle, Castel, 33, all brewed locally and have many Muslim employees. |

To be honest if I was an airline steward, there are 3 countries that I would not like to fly in and out of because of the passengers: Nigeria, Israel, and China. 2 Likes |

Of course we can live without religion. Most people in northern Europe are doing just that and they seem to be doing ok. We do need a set of philosophical ideals to replace it though. |

I am an atheist but I go to a friend's house for Sallah every year. He provides the meat and I bring the beer. It works out very well. 5 Likes |

I would love to see the US/British/German embassies announce a one-time free work visa for anyone who is willing to swear they are gay or trans. I wonder what Abuja could look like, and how many of the applicants also claimed to be devout Christians or Muslims. 1 Like 1 Share |

MrPresident1: The world is not ending, even if we as a species disappear from the planet due to our own mismanagement of the earth. Death is final. There is no afterlife, nor is there any Jesus to greet you. 1 Like |

If you want to find out how many 'ends of the world' you have already survived, try this website: http://jkirchartz.com/demos/How_Many_Apocalypses_Have_I_Survived.html According to this I have survived 57 end-times, and I plan on surviving this one as I did the others. |

Religion / Re: How Religion Works; The Psychology Behind It. by onetrack(m): 9:30am On Aug 03, 2017 |
Yes that's a good psychological analogy. It's how taboos are created. Also another factor in religion is people wanting to understand how things actually work. If they cannot explain something logically (rain, for example), then they will resort to supernatural explanations. 9 Likes |

It's not 1500 years old, the book is only about 600 years old and is a proven fraud. As an atheist it is meaningless to me but I get tired of seeing this posted here year after year. |

malvisguy212: I believe the Bible to be entirely the work of humans, just like the Quran and Gita, and I've seen no evidence to the contrary. In any case belief is entirely a product of the mind and so god or gods are also products of the minds. Whether or not there is a creator I can't say. 1 Like |

Any god who created a hell for his own creations is not worthy of worship. Let him rot for all I care. Edit: After a brief search, it appears that most of these 'last words' appear to be fake/propaganda. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

A more basic problem for me is you referring to the Quran as the word of Allah. To me it's just a book written by people as with every other book. Until this basic problem is resolved, going into the Quran is useless. And the so-called 'miracles' are easily debunked. |

These are hallucinations. There is nothing spiritual here. As long as they do not interfere with your normal life or get worse, you should ignore them. |
