These are not the best of times for famous billionaire and chairman of Doyin Group of Companies, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, as one of his grandsons, Subomi Olabayo, on Tuesday, committed suicide.

The 28-year-old Subomi is the son of Lola Olabayo, a daughter of Prince Adedoyin and Managing Director of Royals Fast Food, Ilorin.

According to First Weekly, the body of Subomi was reportedly discovered around 5pm in the backyard of their Ilorin residence, while he was said to have left the house around 11am.

Depression is not fully understood in Nigeria. Mental illness is not fully understood in Nigeria. They will be taking people for prayer etc, saying that its somebody doing it.

I'm actually quite baffled as to why afrobeats had not been able to penetrate popular charts worldwide? When it was the time for Jamaican dance hall music, they where regularly in the top ten charts from uk to Europe to North America and Australia. With people like Shaggy, Sean Paul, elephant man, Wayne wonder etc. They were competing directly with rap/hip hop and not being given their own special "world" or "African" category for token awards.

It's very puzzling. Especially now that charts are compiled from streams and downloads.
