spy24:Too many Presidential visits to Owerri to commission Uzodinma roads in Owerri. Uzodinma is governor of Owerri. Go to the other towns in the other zones of Imo state; you will spit Tufiakwa over the level of decadence in those towns. |
Gamesmart:You didn't read my comment that land mass or population figure is not considered when creating new federating units - states, local government areas, regions - in a country formed by different regions. Or you didn't understand what was written? Nigeria was formed at independence by three regions. Why would one region - north be turned into 20 states but the two southern regions were turned to only 17 states? Lagos State could have been divided into 10 states if population is considered. Niger State should have been divided into 5 states if land mass is considered in creating new federating units. |
atiku4President:They know that bandits are another nickname for Boko Haram. I mean, the religious and political leaders in the 12 northern Nigeria sharia states that unilaterally adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws between 1999-2001 know that bandits are offshoots to Boko Haram; all fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. The difference between Boko Haram and Muslims in those states that adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws is like the difference between six and half a dozen. |
Bluntemperor:Buhari said he consigned the recommendations of the 2014 CONFAB to the freezer. As you rightly explained, the recommendations of the 2014 CONFAB could have been a panacea to the imbroglio of political structure and constitution created by northern military dictators for Nigeria. Then president Goodluck Jonathan said he was planning to implement the recommendations of the CONFAB in the next National Assembly which he expected would be less hostile to the CONFAB. Before a mammoth crowd in Lagos during his 2015 presidential election campaign, then President Goodluck Jonathan appealed to Nigerians to vote him in so that he could implement the recommendations of the 2014 CONFAB in a less hostile National Assembly. But Tinubu with his group wouldn't listen to Jonathan's appeal to them. Ironically, perhaps before Jonathan became a politician, Tinubu crisscrossed the SW region from 1999 campaigning for political restructuring of Nigeria. |
Hurbashola:Wow. The clappings of their Oyibo football managers are not in rhythm with the clapping of the Super Eagles. Nigerians and religion. Oyibo doesn't do religion anymore. |
ManirBK:Lol. Dangote. please stop the depletion of your company's profits on your name advertisements on CNN's mere mention of Dangote every few minutes. Invest the profits in Nigeria. |
The day after Tinubu leaves office, he will go back to agitation for Oduduwa Republic. Now he is carrying Nigeria on his shoulders trekking 24 days with green white green flag. Most Sofistiwretched. |
olisaEze:Having a bad constitution under a Messiah of a leader does not yield much positive results. We have seen how the bad constitution by military leaders led Nigeria to become the official poverty capital of the world. The political structure of Nigeria was also fraudulently changed by northern military dictators using land mass or population figures to proliferate too many mostly non viable 20 states in one region - the North - but only 17 states in the two southern regions - East and West - that formed independent Nigeria with the northern region in 1960. Land mass or population figures is NEVER used as yardstick to create too many new federating units and accruing political representation, in a country formed at independence by diverse regions. There should have been equal number of states between the three regions that formed Nigeria in 1960. Today, as other southerners ask for political restructuring of Nigeria, Northern politicians tell them to come to the National Assembly for political restructuring, knowing full well that the National Assembly is overwhelmingly overpopulated by northern legislators who will vote against any changes to the political structure and constitution. |
Asking the National Assembly to regig the 1999 constitution will not yield anything different from the existing constitution. The 1999 constitution had no referendum of Nigerians. It is a constitution drafted by SELECTED Nigerians and its contents DICTATED BY NORTHERN MILITARY DICTATORS to legitimise the fraudulent political structure and unitary government system they created for a multi ethnic and multi religious country. The only way to get a workable constitution for Nigeria is through a SOVEREIGN NATIONAL CONFERENCE. Sovereignty belongs to the masses, not to military dictators or a few legislators. |
DamnnNiggarr:Peter Obi, the great man who won the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria but was denied victory by Mahmood Yakubu. |
But it's the APC alliance formed by Bola Ahmed Tinubu that brought poverty to Nigerians, the alliance made Nigeria 🇳🇬 become the official poverty capital of the world. From 2003 till 2014, Tinubu and his SW party vehemently denied Buhari votes in the SW region because they knew that Buhari is a most inept and tribalistic person as well as a religious zealot. So who is Tinubu now blaming for the poverty and a most corrupt country that Nigeria became from the APC alliance formed by Tinubu? |
asanausana91:So you now accept Abuja as part of the north. They used to count 19 states in the north. The sin of Northern military dictators who used land mass or population figures to proliferate 20 new federating units in the northern region but allowed only 17 states in the two southern regions that formed Nigeria with the North in 1960 is what led Nigeria to be producing leaders largely decided by the northern political class. |
Ironbull:Tribalism instead led to transfer of Federal Capital from Lagos to Abuja. It's normal in other countries to distribute government departments to all over the country. |
Which kain tribal sentiment? Britain gave independence to Nigeria. Britain distributes all its government departments to all the nooks and crannies of Great Britain. |
ObiCertificate:During the civil war was when the crude oil wells worth billions of Dollars each in the SS were seized by your people. Develop more sense. Or consult the T.Y Danjumas of Arewa. |
In Nigeria, Security of Tenure of political office holders has been made important, while Security of the masses is left at the hands of the masses. Yesterday, we saw how many armed soldiers and policemen running on feet as the moving convoy of Kano and Bauchi states governors were going to the Supreme Court. Show of shame, while the Security of the masses are no longer important to the government. |
StaffofOrayan:Without soldiers sabotaging their fellow soldiers, a battalion of united soldiers would have defeated Boko Haram and its bandits offshoot. Fact is that the difference between Boko Haram/bandits and too many people in the 12 Sharia states, is like the difference between six and half a dozen. |
Bandits are offshoots of Boko Haram that says it's fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal laws; the same Sharia criminal laws adopted by the political and religious leaders in the 12 far northern Nigeria states. There shall be no ending to Boko Haram unless Nigeria is dissolved and the 12 Sharia states get their Arewa Islamic Republic. Nigeria's politicians know this truth but they are glued together by cheap cash from crude oil. Europeans have dissolved nearly all the countries once formed by multi ethnic and multi religious groups in Europe since the 1990s after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Because Europeans came to understand that multi ethnic and multi religious countries don't thrive. |
ObiCertificate:In bold. The crude oil wells in the SS worth billions of Dollars each were seized by your people in Nigeria immediately after those few SS leaders got their request of carving the SS out of the old Eastern region. What do you do with regional autonomy but having lost your resources to outsiders? Your people used and still use divide and rule to exploit the oil producing areas. |
ddippset:It's not enough to STEAL the last presidential election in Nigeria and use court judges appointed by his APC to seal the heist. Anyhow, the only promise made to Nigerians by Tinubu during the presidential election was that he would continue from where Buhari stopped. The Naira started its erosion in value against the Dollar during Buhari administration. Under Tinubu, the Naira is becoming like Somalia's currency during the hotter years of the El-Shabab/Somalia conflict. |
ObiCertificate:Divide and Rule method has been sustaining your parasitic lifestyle in Nigeria. I am not surprised. You called the SS people clueless. I told you the clueless in the SS were the mostly late elders from the SS who begged to be carved out of Biafra. You turned around to write that I called the SS people clueless. Here you demonstrate your MOST SOFISTIWRETCHED clan mindset. Gerrarout of here. |
ObiCertificate:You don't understand the geography of the south. It's not only the Southsouth that has crude oil and gas deposits in the south. There are a million times more gas deposits in the SE than in the SS. The SE produces a substantial amount of crude oil. You referred to the SS people as clueless, whereas I attributed cluelessness to the so-called elders from the SS who begged to be carved out of Biafra. Go better school, you no gree go. |
Odogwuzack:Reality is nothing ever gets better in Nigeria. Buhari wrecked Nigeria. Tinubu inherited a wrecked Nigeria.. Tinubu group knew that Buhari was inept and tribalistic in power. They refused Buhari since 2003 till 2015 after Tinubu saw a chance to become president with APC. There is hardly any thing Tinubu can do to make things better for the masses. Nigeria's political process and rigged political structure can never allow Nigeria to thrive. |
"Something will definitely give if nothing is done urgently." -- Kperogi. What's definitely going to happen in Nigeria if the masses in Nigeria are continuously fried up in a frying pan, the manner Tinubu govt is frying them? Nothing. Mass uprising can't succeed in Nigeria. Military can't rise either. Nigeria is divided into ethnic groups. Since the fall of the iron curtain, Europeans understood that multi ethnic and multi religious countries don't thrive. Europeans since then have helped to dissolve the European countries formed by multi ethnic and multi religious groups, beginning with the old Soviet Union to Yugoslavia to Czechoslovakia, and now with a shaky EU after the departure of the UK from the EU. Turkey wouldn't be admitted to the EU for reasons everyone knows but the EU wouldn't say. But Nigeria's political class are glued together by cheap cash from crude oil. They know full well that Nigeria is an experiment that cannot yield positive results at the long run. |
If the Economy of a country is wrong, nothing else gets right in the country. |
ObiCertificate:In bold above. You tagged people of the oil producing areas clueless. Well, the cluelessness can be traced back to the middle of the Nigerian civil war when some clueless elders from today's southsouth region travelled to Arewa and begged the then military governor of Northern region, Hassan Katsina, to beg the then Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, to carve today's Southsouth out from Biafra. Yakubu Gowon quickly created Cross River and Rivers states out of Biafra. That helped federal soldiers a lot to lead to fall of Biafra. |
Appointing other set of people in Marine and Solid minerals Police to go to steal their own. Restructure Nigeria politically, that's the solution. This process of starving the hen that lays the golden eggs to feed the baren cock must continue to engender oil and solid minerals theft. |
Buhari and Tinubu appointed the judges. Even APC supporters boasted during the last presidential election that APC appointed the judges. They boasted that other political parties must forget to win the last presidential election in court. |
Bbbwings:Nigeria's fraudulent lopsided political structure is behind the phenomenon of getting oil money from the Niger delta region but investing the money on infrastructures first on Arewa but the oil producing areas languish. At the FEC, NASS and Council of States where decisions are taken on projects to be executed by the federal government, Arewa votes predominate. The fraud of using land mass or population figures to proliferate undue large number of states in Arewa is behind starving the hen that lays the eggs to feed the baren cock in Nigeria. Northern Italy 🇮🇹 was about to break out from Italy because the South of Italy dominating the government was starving the productive North, but political restructuring of Italy stopped the breaking up of Italy during the early 1990s. |
And the 9 oil producing states shall still be moving around with canoe and tricycles. From Rotimi Amaechi to Umahi, and to their colleagues in the oil producing areas, what a group of politicians held hostage by Arewa. |
But APC is already making Nigeria to become a one party State. And IBB can't do anything about it. |
That means that the coalition will fail because nobody will be ready to vote an 81 years old man to replace another old man, Tinubu. |
