Pity those who believe in Atiku's promise to restructure Nigeria politically if elected president of Nigeria.
Fact is that Atiku can never convince northerners to sign onto political restructuring of Nigeria, because the skewed and lopsided political structure created by Arewa soldiers is what gives Arewa the tremendous opportunity to largely determine who emerges president of Nigeria. The too many states and local government areas proliferated by Arewa soldiers in Arewa channel more of Nigeria's federal allocations to Arewa.

Experience ought to have made him understand that land mass or population figures is never used as yardstick to proliferate too many states and local governments councils in an area of larger land mass and population in a country formed by different nations/regions.

But Arewa soldiers used land mass and population figures as criterion for proliferating 19 states and hundreds of local government areas in one northern region. The skewed political structure consigned absolute political powers to northern politicians.

The 12 northern Sharia states urinated on Nigeria's constitution with their adoptiin of unconstitutional Sharia criminal justice system. They literally carved out a new

Instead of southern politicians to detach the southern regions from the Sharia Republic of the 12 northern states, the southern politicians still stay put in one Nigeria. Hundreds die daily from the inadequacies of one Nigeria..

Why all these epistles? When the Southern governors started meeting, they came up with the power must rotate to the South slogan. They claimed it was for equity and justice. In fact Gov Rotimi Akereduolu hammered home the point that it is the turn of the South with no option.
Everyone supported them. Hailing the Southern governor's meeting as noveau and a way of checkmaking the North.
Unfortunately, due to greed the SW selfishly thought that South meant SW. They threw the same equity and justice out of the window. It is on record that only the SE have not tasted the presidency.
