i don't expect a real "lady" to make much orders if any on a first date, i should be the one making the offer and hopefully, she should be refusing my offers  grin and even if she's going to accept it, trust me i won't even offer you something too expensive or a large meal so i save money because i ain't sure yet if you're a glutton or not, you don't expect me to feed your voracious appetite on our first date tongue tongue
Dang, i get your point but you sounding kinda cheap.

Can you explain why you expect him to pay but can't be a submissive wife?
You are looking for trouble this afternoon. I said that i can't be a full blown submissive wife, but i will be close enough that i take of my duties as a wife. And well growing up, that is what i was brought up with. The man should pay and the woman pay sometimes.
gone are those days when a babe will have to ask the husband for money to buy underwear, so we are not saying don't make your money, but trust me, it goes a long way, when u actually take it upon yourself to take your man out and spend on him, always receiving is not a good thing, giver never lacks.
Of course i would take my man out. I have done it before in the past. But when he starts expecting me to take him out all the time, then that is when trouble starts.
cldnt have said it better, yu will know an hungry lady by what she order at a restaurant, you will know that a lady that has never seen good food by what she order at the restaurant, and ladies as such should be made to suffer such.
Anyhow, nothing wrong in a man paying, but if she can't afford it, i will stay home and we will soak gari, u odnt like it? go to the next guy.
LOL!!! yeah i think such chics are so ridiculous. I mean ordering lobster, scallions, sun dried tomatoes, and bread sticks on a first date is a bit much. But i did hear one from a friend that the guy willing paid for what she ordered.

dreeldee:
no charm will make me pay when she's ordering what i've never and don't know when i'll have a taste of such in a lifetime tongue tongue grin grin
What ever. when she starts becoming seductative, watch you pull out your pay check cheesy cheesy

I think what you mean to say is that you find it "attractive" when a man foots the bill on a first day, it leaves a lasting inmpression on you.  All these shouts of "he should pay" is rather your alter ego messing with your agbari.  You don't want to be a submissive wife, you make your own money, yet you go out with your man boyfriend and still expect him to pay.  I no be mugu o, you go wash dishes well well.
First of all nwannem nwoke, i will be a good wife. Maybe not full blown submissive but close. Second, yeah i expect my man to pay. but if i see the opportunity for me to show him that i can return the offer, then will take up the bill. Third, what is wrong with me making my own money? You want me to ask my man for an allowance?

Oka on the first date, it is all about first impressions. So yeah the man should pay on the first date. But afterwards, the woman should pay sometimes you know. it is only right. my wife was a virgin when i married her seven years ago. she was 26 years then. Man, i have all the respect for her. I have a die hard trust on her. I celebrate her all the time. You know what it means to deliver herself mint to mehuh? My wife can walk the streets of the whole wide world with her head tall and no man can point at her that he has tasted her. Am proud of her. Again in the cause of our courtship we never had sex, i left her untouched until after our wedding because i don't believe in premarital sex or any sex outside marriage. And you know what? Ours has beena peaceful and blissfull marriage. I love her 100 percent and over. Its quite a thing of joy both for the woman and the man.
May God Bless your marriage. kiss

Throughout my whole life, i have only seen my mom cry once. And that was when my uncle died in a plane crash in Nigeria. When i saw her crying, it was heartbreaking. But i couldn't cry in front of her, so i went to my closet and just started balling. I mean it just broke me. I didn't say anything either. I just left the room because i couldn't deal.
Politics › Re: Corruption In Nigeria - What Are Your Suggested Solutions by onyinye2(f): 2:36pm On Aug 01, 2008
@post
If you want to solve the problems of Nigeria, you have to first start with the mentality. Everyone has this mentality of "You don't do anything for, then i aint doing anything for you" Until you rid these people of that mentality, Nigeria shall continue to suffer. When the people start showing that they can do better, then change will happen. When someone who has a brand new 09' car finally sees that what is the point of this car if the rodes are terrible. let me do something to help, then people will see that example and follow. Because a lot of people rather sit around with their friends eating kola nut and talk about all the problems in Nigeria, then actually do something.
