Dont listen to hannibal. it is okay that you are thinking about settling down. you know you are trying move past a life of being a bachelor. What women want is a hard question to answer. me, if im in a relationship it is mostly about trust and honesty. if i feel i can trust you with any thing with out being judge or you being disappointed then im good. but keep your head up, and dont worry because your rightful wife will come to you when God feels you are ready.

i call maybe once a day maybe towards the end of the day. but i dont really see it as me the one who should call. i usually rely on the guy to call.

I actually agree with Jackal for a change. . .

Biggie is perhaps the most naturally gifted rapper ever.

He could spin a yarn like no other, but he lacked depth and range in subject matter.

But what he did talk about, the guy talked about wellu wellu.
truly questionable. i think biggie is one of the most gifted rappers.

because no naija man deserves to deal with the built up stereotypes you seem to have developed - you will either attract the kind of man you've imagined (as described by you and your friend) or you will project this image on a hapless man who had no such tendencies in the first instance.

Do your thing girl, but it seems your mind is made up - naija men can't be trusted and all that, so avoid them no?
hypocrite.

Tupac was more than a rapper, but a voice to does silenced.

I see no changes, all I see is racist faces
Misplaced hate makes disgrace to races
We under I wonder what it take to make this
one better place, let's erase the wait state
Take the evil out the people they'll be acting right
Cause both black and white are smokin crack tonight
And only time we deal is when we kill each other
It takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And though it seems heaven-sent
We ain't ready, to have a black President, huh
It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact
The penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks
I wake up in the morning and I ask myself
Is life worth living should I blast myself
I'm tired of being poor and even worse I'm black
My stomach hurts so I'm lookin for a purse to snatch
Cops give a damn about a ne-gro
Pull a trigger kill a nigger he's a hero
Mo' nigga mo' nigga mo' niggaz
I'd rather be dead than a po' nigga
Let the Lord judge the criminals
If I die, I wonder if heaven got a ghetto

Oh yes. . . .On Eminem

For black artistes, their raison d'etre is to describe ghetto life in as many ways as they can. . .

For Eminem. . . . . .It is how many ways to kill his mum, baby mama . . . . .The Way I am is a classic though.

and that Renegade business is overplayed.
All eminem talks about is his daughter and how much he misses her. im not saying he is a bad rapper, but just not as good as Jay Z
Music/Radio › Re: Nas Vs Jayz by onyinye2(f): 2:01am On Jun 29, 2008
Hannibal:
I agree with you.

To 2pac, the word is deployed as a tool, to display emotions and his frustrations. . . .
To Biggie, the word is an ornament, to be polished with hues of shine, delivery and using metaphors in the most unlikely contexts. . . .

Biggie said. . . . Welcome to ma center. . . . Honies feel me deep in they placenta, Cold as the pole in the winter. . . .
How audacious can a rapper get? Biggie Smallz was too grandiloquent.
Biggie was god.
Tupac was Zeus.
I've been Trapped since birth, cautious, cause I'm cursed
And fantasies of my family, in a hearse
And they say it's the white man I should fear
But, it's my own kind doin all the killin here
I can't lie, ain't no love for the other side
Jealousy inside, make em wish I died

@ Doyin13,

Don't put your mortgage on it.

If i put up the list of the greatest Rap albums ever now. . . 36 Chambers won't be in the TOP 10.
I can assure u here that Ready 2 Die will def'ly make the TOP 3.
People didn't realise the strength of the album until Biggie died. . . . .
It is so difficult to replicate by all these cheap imitators crowning themselves King of NY. . . . .

No wonder Can-I-Bus said . . . . The greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th.
well there is some truth in this but no offense biggie was a great artist. he had unbelievable lyrics but he is nothing compared to 2pac.
Music/Radio › Re: Rap Music Is Horrible. by onyinye2(f): 1:36am On Jun 29, 2008
wow shaz you got it all wrong. rap music doesnt make any one do anything except listen and understand. It is not the rap stars job to bring up your brother or his friends. no where in any lyric does it tell any young child to still from their parents. i have been listen to rap since i dont know when and not once have i did any of these things. and that is because my PARENTS taught me how to act not no rap artist. you are using rap as a scapegoat to the real issue of bad house training and lack of realistic role models in their lives.
Music/Radio › Re: Rap Music Is Horrible. by onyinye2(f): 1:29am On Jun 29, 2008
@doyin
rap is more than entertainment to most. if you came to the third ward area in houston where from birth you are told there is no way out of the ghetto except in a coffin, and you were listening to Kanye West's Jesus Walks then you feel a sense of hope. you are only seeing rap as a business but it is much more than that. it is a way to express the hurt and pain you are experiencing.

Nah, never seen Scarface before, lol. What?? I don't want to talk too much before 50 cent treats me like Young buck, i ain't ready to die yet. tongue He doesn't do drug anymore. that's because people like Young buck do it for him. duh!
i doubt young buck is selling drugs for 50 cent. there is no need to sell drugs when you make one of the most advertised drinks around.

Hannibal:
I agree with you.

Sex, Bleep, Shag and Making love are all sexual intercourse that involves the genitals of male and female species.
Whether they are emotionally induced or not should be left for the weak-hearteds.
Ma point is what makes SEX ME palatable and Bleep ME evil?
you already made your point when you said "emotionally induced or not"

@javaprince

i would hope that if i had a son that he would kanye's path of success. he came from a bad background and made a living for himself. and now is one of the kings of the rap world. im not saying i want my son to be a rapper but to be inspired that no matter what the odds are, you can still succeed.
Fashion › Re: Ladies Must We Wear Everything In Vogue? by onyinye2(f): 12:56am On Jun 29, 2008
Vogue is by far one the most one minded ppl i have ever encounterd. when you can count how many black have been on your magazine cover on one hand, something is clearly wrong.

Hannibal:
@ Javaprince,

What is inspirational in R-n-B, Rock and Country music.
It's all the same game. . . . . .R.Kelly can say "SEX ME". . . . .Boyz II Men can sing "I'LL MAKE LOVE TO You but 50 cent CANNOT sing 'Bleep You.
The last time i checked, they all mean the same thing BUT because this is not a genre the white guys can really dabble intoIt's HATED.

Now, Rap music should be banned so these kids who never had anything they wanted can return to selling crack and toting guns.
It's shameful how the minds of Black Men have been genetically enslaved to believe what the white men tells em.
This is the same issue with HARD DRUGS . . . .it's a posion because the white men cannot grow it like the 3rd world nations.

When would people open their eyes and see the white man's FRAUD of cheating the black race.
there is some truth in what you stated. except the part when you said sex and making love is the same thing. when clearly it is not. you can have sex with anyone but you make love to one special person.
Romance › Re: Swimming Pool Romance by onyinye2(f): 12:46am On Jun 29, 2008
taking a woman for a swim is not romantic. any guy could have done that. but if he had his own private pool and decorated lighted candles around the perimeter and then had rose petals floating on the pool. and then maybe it would be romantic.
Music/Radio › Re: Nas Vs Jayz by onyinye2(f): 12:43am On Jun 29, 2008
@hannibal

doyin needs to see the other side of rap music. because all he is basically talking about is the business side. because for one thing ILLmatic's rhymes were nothing compared to "the chronic" or any real classic rap.
Music/Radio › Re: Rap Music Is Horrible. by onyinye2(f): 12:39am On Jun 29, 2008
@javaprince

you are coming off as if rap is just a business. it is a way to express your self and show the world what you are going through. and you mentioned that rap markets guns, etc. look at country music. most mention beer at least once in every song.
